The following is a Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Book Compilation given by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on January 26th,2023 in Śrī Dhāma Māyāpur, India.

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
paramānandaṁ mādhavaṁ śrī caitanya iśvaram

Hariḥ oṁ tat sat!

Hare Kṛṣṇa! Dear Devotees! Today we will continue with the compilation of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Book. Today we will be continuing with the part of the chapter entitled:

Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.30

calilena buddhimanta khān mahāśaya
ājanma caitanya-ājñā yāṅhāra viṣaya

Jayapatākā Swami: Also came Buddhimanta Khān mahāśaya, from his birth he followed the order of Lord Caitanya as his life’s purpose.

Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.31

hariṣe calilāśrī-ācārya purandara
‘bāpa’ bali’ yāṅre ḍāke śrī-gaurasundara

Jayapatākā Swami: Joyfully came Śrī Ācārya Purandara, Śrī Gaurasundara would call him or address him as father.

Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.32

calilena śrī-rāghava-paṇḍita udāra
gupte yāṅra ghare haila caitanya-vihāra

Jayapatākā Swami: The magnanimous Śrī Rāghava Paṇḍita, in whose house Lord Caitanya secretly performed many pastimes, he also came.

Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.33

bhava-roga-vaidya-siṁha calilā murāri
gupte yāṅra dehe vaise gaurāṅga-śrī-hari

Jayapatākā Swami: The lionlike physician, Śrī Murāri Gupta, who cured the disease of material life, he also came. Lord Gaurāṅga Śrī Hari secretly resided in his body.

Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.34

calilena śrī-garuḍa-paṇḍita hariṣe
nāma-bale yāṅre nā laṅghila sarpa-viṣe

Jayapatākā Swami: Also came very happily, Śrī Garuḍa Paṇḍita. By chanting the holy names of Kṛṣṇa, he was not affected by the bite of a poisonous snake.

Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.35

calilena gopīnātha-siṁha mahāśaya
akrūra kariyā yāṅre gauracandra kaya

Jayapatākā Swami: Also came Śrī Gopīnātha Siṁha, Lord Gauracandra would address him as Akrūra.

Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.36

prabhura parama-priya śrīrāma-paṇḍita
calilena nārāyaṇa-paṇḍita-sahita

Jayapatākā Swami: Śrī Rāma Paṇḍita, who was very dear to the Lord, came with Nārāyaṇa Paṇḍita.

Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.37

paṇḍita dāmodarera śacīmātāke darśana kariyā punaḥ nīlācale gamana—

āi-daraśane śrī-paṇḍita-dāmodara
āsichilā āi dekhi’ calilā satvara

Jayapatākā Swami: After seeing Mother Śacī, Śrī Dāmodara Paṇḍita also returned to Nīlācala, he came very quickly.

Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.38

ananta caitanya-bhakta—kata jāni nāma
calilena sabe purīānandera dhāma

Jayapatākā Swami: Innumerable Lord Caitanya's devotees, whose names are all not known to me, they also came, who were abodes of ecstatic love.

Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.39

śrī-advaitācāryera prabhṛpriya-dravyādi o patnī-putra-dāsa-dāsī-saha śrī-caitanya-caraṇa-darśanārtha śrī-kṣetre āgamana—

āi-sthāne bhakti kari’ vidāya haiyā
calilā advaita-siṁha bhakta-goṣṭhī laiyā

Jayapatākā Swami: The lionlike Advaita Ācārya had respectfully offered his obeisances to Mother Śacī and took permission to depart. He came along with the various assembled devotees. Along with Advaita came His wife, children, servants and many devotees.

Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.40

ye ye dravye jānena prabhura pūrva prīta
saba lailā sabe prabhura bhikṣāra nimitta

Jayapatākā Swami: All those items which they knew that the Lord previously liked, everyone brought them to Lord Caitanya to offer Him.

Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.41

sarva-pathe saṅkīrtana karite karite
āilena pavitra kariyā sarva-pathe

Jayapatākā Swami: Along the entire route the devotees performed saṅkīrtana continuously. As they came, they purified all the places along the route.

Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.42

ullāse ye hari-dhvani kare bhakta-gaṇa
śuniyā pavitra haila tribhuvana-jana

Jayapatākā Swami: Joyfully the devotees chanted the hari-dhvani, “Hari Bol! Hari bol!” hearing them, the people of the three worlds were purified by this tumultuous vibration of Hari bol! Hari Bol! So the devotees and their families were non-stop performing harināma-saṅkīrtana and this created a transcendental vibration and it resounded within the whole universe.

Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.43

patnī-putra-dāsa-dāsī-gaṇera sahite
āilena parānande caitanya dekhite

Jayapatākā Swami: The devotees brought with them their wives, sons, daughters, servants and maid servants. They came with transcendental ecstasy to see Lord Caitanya.

Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.44

ye sthāne rahena āsi’ sabe vāsā kari’
sei sthāna haya yena śrī-vaikuṇṭha-purī

Jayapatākā Swami: Whatever place they stopped along the way, and resided there, that place became like Śrī Vaikuṇṭhapura.

Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.45

śuna śuna āre bhāi, maṅgala-ākhyāna
yāhā gāya ādideva śeṣa bhagavān

Jayapatākā Swami: Please, please listen, dear brothers, to these auspicious topics, which are glorified by the original Supreme Personality of Godhead Śeṣa Bhagavān.

Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.46

ei mata raṅge mahāpuruṣa sakala
sakala maṅgale āilena nīlācala

Jayapatākā Swami: In this way in great ecstasy, all these great personalities, safely, auspiciously arrived at Nīlācala.

Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.47

kamalapure dhvaja-prāsāda-darśana—

kamalapurete dhvaja-prāsāda dekhiyā
paḍilena kāndi’ sabe daṇḍavata haiyā

Jayapatākā Swami: When they came to the place known as Kamalapura, they saw the flag of Jagannātha Puri on top of Lord Jagannātha’s temple. They fell down and offered obeisances prostrated and cried in ecstasy.

Purport (By His Divine Grace Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura Śrīla Prabhupāda): Kamalapura is a village situated a short distance from Āṭhāranālā. From there one can see the flag on top of Lord Jagannātha’s temple.

As soon they saw the flag on the temple of Lord Jagannātha, they offered their prostrate obeisances, they had been walking all the way from Bengal, it takes a long time, some weeks. When they saw the flag, they paid their obeisances and started to cry in transcendental ecstasy. Overwhelmed by understanding that they have reached very to Nīlācala.

Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.48

prabhu o jāniyā bhakta-goṣṭhīra vijaya
āgu bāḍibāre citta kailā icchā-maya

Jayapatākā Swami: Lord Caitanya, He became aware that the devotees' assembly had arrived. He was desiorous to go and and greet them, out of His own desire.

We see how these devotees were all mahā-bhāgavatas, they were eagerly going to see Lord Caitanya. They were very happy all the way, chanting and dancing, talking about Krsna. When they saw the flag of Lord Jagannātha's temple, they could not help but cry. Haribol!
