mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam

Hariḥ oṁ tat sat!

Hare Kṛṣṇa! Dear Devotees! Today we will continue with the compilation of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Book, Today we be continuing with the part 3 of the chapter entitled:

Mutual Glorification by Lord Caitanya and Lord Nityānanda in Their Own Ecstatic Mood,
Under the section: Śrī Nityānanda’s Return Journey to Nīlācala from Navadvīpa

Caitanya Bhāgavata, Antya-khaṇḍa, 7.61

śrī-saṅkarṣaṇa-bhṛtya śrī-śaṅkarera mastake sarpabhūṣaṇa dhāraṇa karibāra kāraṇa yerūpa vyavahārika lokera agamya, tadrūpa nityānandera śrīaṅge alaṅkāradhāraṇera marmao akṣaya jñānadṛpta lokera duradhigamya—

nāga-vibhuṣaṇa yena dharena śaṅkare
tāhā nāhi sarva-jane bujhibāre pāre

Jayapatākā Swami: “Just as people cannot understand why Śaṅkara decorates his body with a serpent, in the same way all the people cannot understand why You do what You do!

Caitanya Bhāgavata, Antya-khaṇḍa, 7.62

paramārthe mahādeva—ananta-jīvana
nāga-chale ananta dharena sarva-kṣaṇa

Jayapatākā Swami: “Actually Mahādeva accepts Ananta as his life and soul as his spiritual shelter, and thus he keeps Ananta in the form of a serpent around his neck all the time.

Caitanya Bhāgavata, Antya-khaṇḍa, 7.63

nā bujhiyā ninde tāna caritra agādha
yateka nindaye tāra haya kārya-vādha

Jayapatākā Swami: “People without understanding his unfathomable characteristics criticize him, and as a result their progress is checked.

Caitanya Bhāgavata, Antya-khaṇḍa, 7.64

muñi ta’ tomāra aṅge bhakti-rasa vine
anya nāhi dekhoṅ kabhu kāya-vākya-mane

Jayapatākā Swami: So, Lord Caitanya is saying “I don’t see anything in Your body other than bhakti-rasa, mellows of devotional service. I don't see anything else. You have fully dedicated Your mind, Your words and Your body to the service of the Supreme Lord.

Purport (By His Divine Grace Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura Śrīla Prabhupāda): Śrī Gaurasundara said that He could not see anything other than the mellows of devotional service in the limbs of Nityānanda. The nine types of devotional service are the ornaments of His body. The body, mind, and speech of Nityānanda are always engaged in the service of Kṛṣṇa. Gaurasundara did not see anything other than this.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, fault finders try to find some fault with the behavior of Lord Nityānanda. Since Lord Nityānanda, He is so special that His characteristics and glories are unfathomable for ordinary people. So Lord Caitanya always saw Lord Nityānanda decorated only with devotional service He could not see anything else. So, this shows us how we should see Lord Nityānanda and His representatives.

Caitanya Bhāgavata, Antya-khaṇḍa, 7.65

nanda-goṣṭhi-rase tumi vṛndāvana-sukhe
dhariyācha alaṅkāra āpana kautuke

Jayapatākā Swami: “You are enjoying the ecstasy of Vṛndāvana by relishing the mellows of Nanda’s associates, the Vraja-vāsīs. And for that reason, You are keeping pure devotional service as the ornaments of Your body for Your own transcendental pleasure.

Purport (by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura): Nityānanda decorated His body with the ornaments of the transcendental mellows that are always found in the associates of Śrī Vrajendra-nandana in Vṛndāvana. The phrase nanda-goṣṭhi refers to the Vraja-vāsīs situated in the various rasas.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, I have translated nanda-goṣṭhi in another other way, but here it is translated as Vraja-vāsīs. So, Lord Nityānanda, He was always in the Vṛndāvana mood, in the spiritual love for Kṛṣna and the Vraja-vāsīs. And that exact mood He wore ornaments on the different parts of His body.

Caitanya Bhāgavata, Antya-khaṇḍa, 7.66

sukṛti-vyaktira darśana o lābha—

ihā dekhi’ ye sukṛti citte pāya sukha
se avaśya dekhibe kṛṣṇera śrī-mukha

Jayapatākā Swami: “Seeing the ornaments on Your body, one with auspicious consciousness gets transcendental happiness, that person is fortunate and will certainly see the Lotus face of Lord Kṛṣṇa.

Caitanya Bhāgavata, Antya-khaṇḍa, 7.67

nityānanda o nityānanda-bhṛtyagaṇa vrajera nityasiddha parikara—

vetra, vaṁśī, śiṅgā, guñjā-hāra, mālya, gandha
sarva-kāla ei-rūpa tomāra śrī-aṅga

Jayapatākā Swami: “You are always adorned with a stick, flute, buffalo horn, guñja necklace, flower garland, and sandalwood pulp.

In this way Your transcendental body is decorated with these ornaments.

Caitanya Bhāgavata, Antya-khaṇḍa, 7.68

yateka bālaka dekhi tomāra saṁhati
śrīdāma-sudāma-prāya laya mora mati

Jayapatākā Swami: “The several boys I see associating with You remind Me of Śrīdāmā and Sudāmā.

Caitanya Bhāgavata, Antya-khaṇḍa, 7.69

vṛndāvana-krīḍāra yateka śiśu-gaṇa
sakala tomāra saṅge—laya mora mana

Jayapatākā Swami: “In Vṛndāvana they are many boys that played with You, I consider that all of the boys were Your associates, who used to play with You in Vrndavana.

Lord Caitanya was seeing Lord Nityānanda in His form as Balarāma, playing with the cowherd boys in Vṛndāvana.

Caitanya Bhāgavata, Antya-khaṇḍa, 7.70

nityānandera sarvāṅge nandagoṣṭhī-bhakti—

sei bhāva, sei kānti, sei saba śakti
sarva-dehe dekhi sei nanda-goṣṭhi-bhakti

Jayapatākā Swami: “The mood, that beauty and luster are the multifarious potencies that I see in Your body of the Vṛndāvana associates, the Vraj-vāsīs', bhakti manifested.

Caitanya Bhāgavata, Antya-khaṇḍa, 7.71

eteke ye tomāre, tomāra sevakere
prīti kare, satya satya se kare āmāre”

Jayapatākā Swami: “Therefore whoever loves You or Your servants truly, truly, they factually love Me.”

Caitanya Bhāgavata, Antya-khaṇḍa, 7.72

svānubhāvānande dui—mukunda, ananta
ki-rūpe ki kahe ke jāniba tāra anta

Jayapatākā Swami: In their personal ecstasy the two, Mukunda and Ananta who can understand the limit of what they have spoken in Their own ecstatic mood?

So, in this chapter reveals how Lord Nityānanda and Lord Gaurahari there is extreme affection between both of Them. And each one glorifies the other one and there is no limit of how much appreciation each one has for the other . So, how we can do this, we can pray to Lord Caitanya that we never commit offense to those that He holds so dear.

Hare Kṛṣṇa!

Thus ends the chapter entitled, Mutual Glorification By Lord Caitanya And Lord Nityānanda In Their Own Ecstatic Mood, Part 3
