Caitanya Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 8.29

pūrve śiśu-rūpe prabhu ye duira ghare
naivedya khāilā āni’ śrī-hari-vāsare

Jayapatākā Swami: Previously when the Lord was a child, he went to their houses and ate the grains prasāda on Ekādaśī which they brought and gave.

This pastime, the Lord was crying and crying and His father Jagannātha Miśra asked why are you crying, He said that Jagadīśa Paṇḍita and Hiraṇya Bhāgavata were having an Ekādaśī feast and how a little child would know about Ekādaśī and how he would know that they were his two friends of Him. And he took Him to their house and they were offering opulent grain bhoga to the deities. When He explained what happened they saw, the two of them, somehow Kṛṣṇa gave them a vision and therefore they gave Him all the bhoga on Ekādaśī.

Actually Kolaveca Śrīdhara was very poor but somehow Lord Caitanya would always buy his bananas and vegetable things. When he was nine years old, He would grab a bunch of bananas, and ask ‘how much is this?’ Kolaveca Śrīdhara would grab back the bananas and say, ‘I don’t charge more, you see I always charge less’. Lord Caitanya said, you are taking these banana from Me, who is a brāhmaṇa, is that proper? And He took the bananas back. So, like Kolaveca Śrīdhara, said the bananas were for 8 kauḍis, 8 small conchshell, Lord Caitanya would say, ‘oh, you are charging too much, I will take 5 kaudis. So, Kolaveca Sridhara would say, if you take such a thing from Him, I don't know whenever I see Him my heart melts. Later when Lord Caitanya was offered the 21 hours ārati by Lord Advaita, they brought Kolaveca Śrīdhara, then he could see Lord Caitanya was Kṛṣṇa himself and He said Kolaveca Śrīdhara, I will give whatever you want, but he said I don’t want anything’, He said, ‘I will make you a King’ he said that, ‘I don’t want to be a King’ then he said, ‘I will give all mystic powers, laghima, prāpti’ no, no I don’t want’. You have to take some gift from Me, what do you want? Well if I have to ask something, please bless me that whenever You appear, I can come and give Your vegetables and fruits needs. But if that is not possible, please let me be born in the family of Your devotees. Then Lord Caitanya said, ‘I am going to give you the most rare of gifts, I will give you Kṛṣṇa-prema. That Kolaveca Śrīdhara is also going to Jagannātha Purī.

In the eleventh canto of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, it predicts that the Lord would come but he wont be in black colour and He will be coming with His expansions, energies and His devotees and associates so we heard about some of the associates.

Haribol!
