The following is a Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Book Compilation given by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on June 26th, 2021 in Śrī Dhāma Māyāpur, India.

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
paramānandaṁ mādhavaṁ śrī caitanya iśvaram

Hare Kṛṣṇa! Dear Devotees! Today we will continue with the compilation of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Book, Today's chapter is entitled:

Glorification of Mother Śacī by Lord Caitanya 
Under the Section: The Lord’s Attempt to Go to Vṛndāvana

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.234

prabhura śāntipure āgamana-vārtā-śravaṇe śacīmātā o bhaktagaṇera utkaṇṭhā— 
“śāntipure āilena śrī-gaurasundara
cala āi, jhāṭa giyā dekhaha satvara”

Jayapatākā Swami: “Lord Śrī Gaurasundara has arrived in Śāntipura. Haribol! Come quickly Mother Śacī and see Him.”

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.235

vārtāśuni' santoṣita hailena āi
tāhāra avadhi āra kahibāre nāi

Jayapatākā Swami: Hearing this news, Mother Śacī became pleased beyond description.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.236

vārtāśuni' prabhura yateka bhakta-gaṇa
sabei hailā ati premānanda-mana

Jayapatākā Swami: With this news spreading among the devotees of Lord Caitanya, their minds became filled with transcendental bliss.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.237

gaṅgādāsa paṇḍita, murāri-gupta prabhṛti bhaktavṛndera sahita śrī-śacīmātāra śāntipure yātrā— 
gaṅgādāsa paṇḍita prabhura priya-pātra
āi lai' calilena sei kṣaṇa-mātra

Jayapatākā Swami: Gaṅgādāsa Paṇḍita, the dear associate of Lord Caitanya, immediately departed with Mother Śacī. Along with Gaṅgādāsa Paṇḍita, Murāri Gupta and other devotees went along with Śacī Māta to Śāntipura.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.238

śrī-murāri gupta-ādi yata bhakta-gaṇa
sabei āira saṅge karilā gamana

Jayapatākā Swami: Śrī Murāri Gupta and all the other devotees all accompanied Mother Śacī on her journey.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.239

śrī-śacīmātāra śāntipure āgamana— 
satvare āilāśacī-āi śāntipure
vārtāśunilena prabhu śrī-gaurasundare

Jayapatākā Swami: Mother Śacī quickly came to Śāntipura, and Lord Śrī Gaurasundara was informed.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.240

prabhura apūrva mātṛbhakti līlā o stuti— 
śrī-gaurasundara prabhu āire dekhiyā
satvare paḍilā dūre daṇḍavata haiyā

Jayapatākā Swami: As soon as Lord Śrī Gaurasundara saw His mother Śacī, He immediately offered her, His prostrated obeisances from a distance.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.241

punaḥ punaḥ pradakṣiṇa haiyā haiyā
daṇḍavata haya śloka paḍiyā paḍiyā

Jayapatākā Swami: He repeatedly circumambulated Mother Śacī as He offered prostrated obeisances and as He recited various verses.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.242

“tumi viśva-jananī kevala bhakti
mayītomāre se guṇātīta sattva-rūpa kahi

Jayapatākā Swami: You are the mother of the universe and the personification of devotional service. You are the form of pure goodness, beyond the modes of material nature.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.243

tumi yadi śubha-dṛṣṭi kara' jīva-prati
tabe se jīvera haya kṛṣṇe rati-mati

Jayapatākā Swami: “If you glance mercifully on a living entity, that living entity's mind will develop loving attachment for Lord Kṛṣṇa.

If you glance mercifully on a living entity, that living entity's mind will develop loving attachment for Lord Kṛṣṇa.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.244

tumi se kevala mūrtimatī viṣṇu-bhakti
yāhā haite saba haya, tumi sei śakti

Jayapatākā Swami: “You are the personification of devotional service to Lord Viṣṇu. You are the potency from which everything emanates.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.245

tumi gaṅgā devakī yaśodā devahūti
tumi pṛśni anasūyā kauśalyā aditi

Jayapatākā Swami: You are Gaṅgā, you are Mother Devakī, you are Mother Yaśodā, and you are Mother Devahūti. You are Mother Pṛśni, Mother Anasūyā, Mother Kauśalyā, and you are Mother Aditi.

Purport (by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhāta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura): Śrī Gaurasundara glorified Śacīdevī by addressing her as Yaśodā, Devakī, Gaṅgā, Devahūti the mother of Kapila, Pṛśni, Anasūyā the mother of Dattatreya, Kauśalyā, and Aditi.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, we can see that if we can get the favourable glance of Śacī Mata, we will naturally develop loving attachment towards Lord Kṛṣṇa and Lord Caitanya.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.246

yata dekhi saba tomā' haite se udaya
pālayitā tumi se, tomāte līna haya

Jayapatākā Swami: “Everything that we see has originated from you. You are the maintaining potency, and everything ultimately merges in you.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.247

tomāra prabhāva balibāra śakti kāra
sabāra hṛdaye pūrṇa vasati tomāra”

Jayapatākā Swami: “Who has the power to describe your glories? You reside in the heart of everyone.” So, we know that the Supersoul resides in the heart of everyone and the Supersoul is always accompanied by His internal potency. So it means that Mother Śacī, is the potency of the Lord present with Lord Viṣṇu.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.248

śloka-vandhe ei mata kariyā stavana
daṇḍavat haya prabhu dharma-sanātana

Jayapatākā Swami: Lord Caitanya, who establishes religious principles, offered prostrate obeisances and recited verses in this way.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.249

kṛṣṇa-vyatīta erūpa vātsalya-rasa-saundarya-prakāśera śakti aparera dvārā sambhava nahe— 
kṛṣṇa bai eki pitṛ-mātṛ-guru-bhakti
karibāre dharaye e-mata kāra śakti

Jayapatākā Swami: Who other than Lord Kṛṣṇa has the potency to display such devotion to a father, mother, or superior?

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.250

ānandāśru-dhārā vahe sakala aṅgete
śloka paḍi' namaskāra haya bahumate

Jayapatākā Swami: As Lord Caitanya repeatedly recited verses and offered obeisances, tears of love bathed His entire body.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.251

śrī-gauracandra mukhacandra darśane parānande jaḍa śacīmātā— 
āi dekhi' mātra śrī-gaurāṅga-vadana
parānande jaḍa hailena sei kṣaṇa

Jayapatākā Swami: As soon as Mother Śacī saw the face of Lord Gaurāṅga, she became stunned with transcendental ecstasy.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.252

prabhura mukhe śrī-śacīmātāra stuti— 
rahiyāche āi yena kṛtrima-putali
stuti kare vaikuṇṭha-īśvara kutūhalī

Jayapatākā Swami: Mother Śacī stood there like a wooden doll as the Lord of Vaikuṇṭha blissfully offered her prayers.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.253

prabhu bale,—“kṛṣṇa-bhakti ye kichu āmāra
kevala ekānta saba prasāde tomāra

Jayapatākā Swami: The Lord said, “Whatever devotion to Kṛṣṇa I have is simply by your mercy.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.254

koṭi-dāsa-dāsero ye sambandhe tomāra
sei jana prāṇa haite vallabha āmāra

Jayapatākā Swami: If the servant of the servant of the servant a million times removed is related to you, he is more dear to Me than My own life.

Purport (by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhāta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura): Considering the relationship of the Supreme Lord's innumerable servants and maidservants with His mother, Śrī Gaurasundara said, “Because of that relationship, they are extremely dear to Me.”

Jayapatākā Swami: So, we can see how being connected with Mother Śacī is a secret to be extremely dear to Lord Caitanya.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.255

bār-eka ye jana tomā' karibe smaraṇa
tāra kabhu nahibeka saṁsāra-bandhana

Jayapatākā Swami: “If a person remembers you even once, that person will never be entangled in material bondage.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.256

sakala pavitra kare ye gaṅgā tulasī
tārāo hayena dhanya tomāre paraśi'

Jayapatākā Swami: “Gaṅgā and Tulasī are known to purify everything. But even they are glorified by your touch.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.257

tumi yata kariyācha āmāra pālana
āmāra śaktiye tāhā nahiba śodhana

Jayapatākā Swami: I have no ability to repay you for the affection you displayed while maintaining Me.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.258

daṇḍe daṇḍe yata sneha karile āmāre
tomāra sād-guṇya se tāhāra pratikāre

Jayapatākā Swami: “Therefore let your own good qualities be your compensation for the affection you displayed for Me at every moment.”

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.259

vaiṣṇavagaṇera ānanda— 
ei mata stuti prabhu karena santoṣe
śuniyā vaiṣṇava-gaṇa mahānande bhāse

Jayapatākā Swami: As Lord Caitanya offered prayers with great satisfaction in this way, all the Vaiṣṇavas floated in ecstasy. So, it is very rare that parents are appreciated like this. In the material world, children forget about their parents and all the sacrifices they did. But Lord Caitanya He appreciates Mother Śacī’s devotion, He considers her as a transcendental potency and He was very blissful, and very ecstatic in glorifying Mother Śacī, and all the devotees who heard this were also moved in ecstasy.
