20210702 Śrī Gaura Maṇḍala Bhūmi Project Address

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
 hariḥ oṁ tat sat

So you have heard some of the glories of Gaura Maṇḍala Bhūmi. You have heard its general dimensions and you have seen some of the places are in good standing, some are old structures, they need lot of work and some are actually lost! But with some research we can locate where they are. So in Bangladesh because many of the Hindus have fled away to India, so we got some of the birthplaces. Advaita Ācārya’s birthplace, Śrīvāsa Ṭhākura’s birthplace. We are trying to get Gadādhara Paṇḍita’s birth place. We have Puṇḍarīka Vidyānidhi’s birthplace. We have Rūpa and Sanātana’s childhood land. And like that we have Narottama dāsa Ṭhākura’s Sripatha. He was a crown prince but he abdicated the throne to preach. So somehow devotees of Bangladesh, they are taking up this issue very enthusiastically. In Bengal, we have a temple at Māyāpur, we have a temple in Ekacakra and other places we through the Bhaktivedanta Swami Charitable Trust donation money, we have a temple at Kanai-natasala, but there are, we could and we should have. Or we can help many of the existing sevites We don’t like to give them money, but we would like to go there and help them do the work. So that is our standard at present. Navadvīpa dhāma we have done lot of development. At Nrsimhapalli, at Harihara kṣetra, at the Madhyadvīpa temple of Hamsa-vahana and many temples. In Rajapur we have the Jagannātha temple. Also the Simantini devī. So like that there is lots of work to be done. So we see how Rūpa and Sanātana, the six Gosvāmīs how they excavated the holy places n Vṛndāvana.

We are so fortunate that Śrīla Prabhupāda has given us this sevā. Although he gave me some 43 years ago, limited amount I could do. But there is so much more that could be done. Actually he created the Bhaktivedanta Swami Charitable Trust. But it has limited assets. And so I was saying that there are so many Sripatas, they have come to us for development work. I was suggesting that we should have a webpage and give the sripat projects there. So someone may like to help one of the sripats or adopt a sripat. So like that Ramanipati can say some of the projects which are up now. So, actually it is a great opportunity. Actually each one of these associates is an eternal associate of Lord Caitanya. Śrīla Bhakti Vinoda Ṭhākura he sings about that. Also we heard how Śrīla Prabhupāda and different people have mentioned that, gaura maṇḍala bhūmi jebe jāne citanmani tara haya vrajabhūmi vāsa - whoever understands that Gaura maṇḍala is transcendental, he lives in Vṛndāvana. So I forget the song, Gaurangera saṅge gaṇi nitya siddha koro māni. Those who are associates of Caitanya Mahāprabhu they are actually associates of the Lord. So, right now we have an opportunity to buy seven bigas about 2 acres of land in Rāma Keli. The place where Lord Caitanya met Rūpa and Sanātana. Like that there are other places they need development. So, right now this Rāma Keli we have devotees who agreed to live there and it is about 30 miles from Kanhainatashala, which is on the other side of the Ganges. This was the ancient capital of Bengal. Like there are various holy places all over Bengal. We were reading, anyone who remembers Śacī Mata even if they are a million times removed, just be remembering her, by doing service to her, one is especially blessed by Lord Caitanya. Now somehow Advaita Ācārya was initiated by Mādhavendra Purī in Śāntipura. So every year he would have a big feast on Govinda dvādaśī, the dvādaśī before Gaura Pūrṇimā. We go there and distribute prasāda to about 50,000 people. Like that some of the things are permanent development of the Sripatas and some are sevā opportunities. Of course, Śrīla Prabhupāda he desired that all the branches of the Sārasvata family to be united. We know that Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura he saw that those who were Vaiṣṇavas, they were naturally having the qualities of brāhmaṇas. So he would give upanayanam to the Vaiṣṇavas. Who were not necessarily in the brāhmaṇa caste. Like that by his establishing this program, Śrīla Prabhupāda was able to establish temples all over the world. Anyway, here we want to develop the birthplace of Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura and the various Sripatas. So for that, in the future we need help. Hare Kṛṣṇa!
