mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
paramānandaṁ mādhavaṁ śrī caitanya iśvaram

Hariḥ oṁ tat sat!

Hare Kṛṣṇa! Dear Devotees! Today we will continue with the compilation of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Book, Today's chapter is entitled as:

Phalaśruti – The Result of Hearing About These Pastimes
Under the Section: The Lord’s Attempt to Go to Vṛndāvana

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.508

prabhura ukti—guru-vaiṣṇavera ārādhanā-tithite mahāprasāda sammāna-prabhāve govinde bhaktilābha—
prabhu bale,—“mādhavendra-ārādhanā-tithi
bhakti haya govinde, bhojana kaile ithi”

Jayapatākā Swami: Lord Caitanya said, “If one honors the prasāda that has been offered during the appearance festival of Śrī Mādhavendra Purī, he will attain the devotional service of Govinda.”

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.509

ei mata raṅge prabhu kariyā bhojana
vasilena giyā prabhu kari' ācamana

Jayapatākā Swami: After joyfully finishing His meal in this way, Lord Caitanya washed His hands and mouth and sat down.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.510

mahāprabhura sammukhe ācārya-kartṛka candanamālā-sthāpana —
tabe divya sugandhi candana divya-mālā
prabhura sammukhe āni' advaita thuilā

Jayapatākā Swami: Lord Advaita Ācārya then brought fragrant sandalwood pulp and beautiful garlands before Lord Caitanya. So, Lord Caitanya had declared that someone who takes prasāda on the tithi, on the sacred day of the worship Śrī Mādhavendra Purī, he gets bhakti for Lord Govinda. He gets devotional service for Lord Govinda. So, one can become Kṛṣṇa conscious simply by eating. So, we are very grateful to the many devotees who come for Gaura Pūrṇimā festival in Māyāpur and participate in the prasāda distribution on Govinda-Dvādaśī on the worship of Śrī Mādhavendra Purī. ISKCON feeds about 50,000 devotes on the honour of Śrī Mādhavendra Purī to assist Lord Advaita Gosāi. This festival is a special offering and we pray for the blessings of Lord Caitanya, he assures that by worshipping Śrī Mādhavendra Purī by taking prasāda on this tithi on this place one gets devotional service for Lord Govinda.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.511

prabhu-kartṛka nija śrīhaste bhaktagaṇake candana-mālā-pradāna —
tabe prabhu nityānanda-svarūpera āge
dilena candana-mālā mahā-anurāge

Jayapatākā Swami: Lord Caitanya then first affectionately offered sandalwood pulp and a flower garland to Nityānanda Svarūpa.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.512

tabe prabhu sarva-vaiṣṇavere jane jane
śrī-haste candana-mālā dilena āpane

Jayapatākā Swami: Thereafter Lord Caitanya personally offered sandalwood pulp and a flower garland to each and every Vaiṣṇava with His own hands.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.513

śrī-hastera prasāda pāiyā bhakta-gaṇa
sabāra haila parānanda-maya mana

Jayapatākā Swami: When the devotees received these items from the lotus hands of Lord Caitanya, their hearts became filled with transcendental ecstasy.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.514

bhaktagaṇera ucca haridhvani—
ucca kari' sabei karena hari-dhvani
kibā se ānanda haila kahite nā jāni

Jayapatākā Swami: I cannot describe sufficiently how happy they all were, as they received these remnants from Lord Caitanya’s lotus hands. Then they then loudly chanted the name of Hari and chanted Hari bol!

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.515

ācāryera ānanda —
advaitera ye ānanda—anta nāhi tāra'
āpane vaikuṇṭha-nātha gṛha-madhye yāṅra

Jayapatākā Swami: There was no end to Lord Advaita Ācārya's ecstasy, for the Lord of Vaikuṇṭha was personally present in His house.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.516

mahāprabhura līlāra agādhatva —
e sakala raṅga prabhu karilena yata
manuṣyera śakti ihā varṇibeka kata

Jayapatākā Swami: How can a human being have the power to describe all these pastimes of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu?

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.517

ekodivasera yata caitanya-vihāra
koṭi vatsare o keha nāre varṇibāra

Jayapatākā Swami: Even in millions of years no one could describe the pastimes that Lord Caitanya performed in one day.

Purport by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhāta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura: In the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (1.18.23) it is stated:

“As the birds fly in the sky as far as their capacity allows, so do the learned devotees describe the Lord as far as their realization allows.”

Jayapatākā Swami: So, actually the Lord simultaneously performs unlimited pastimes with different devotees and observers. So, the writer is expressing his limitation to be able to explain everything, that he is explaining whatever is possible.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.518

pakṣī yena ākāśera anta nāhi pāya
yata-dūra śakti tata-dūra uḍi' yāya

Jayapatākā Swami: A bird cannot reach the end of the sky, it only flies as far as it is able.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.519

ei-mata caitanya-yaśera anta nāi
tiṅho yata dena śakti tata mātra gāi

Jayapatākā Swami: In the same way there is no end to Lord Caitanya's glories, one only describe them as far as one’s potency allows one.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.520

kāṣṭera putalī yena kuhake nācāya
ei-mata gauracandra more ye balāya

Jayapatākā Swami: Whatever I describe is only by the direction of Lord Śrī Gauracandra, just as a puppet dances only by the direction of the puppeteer.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.521

e-saba kathāra anukrama nāhi jāni
ye-te-mate caitanyera yaśa se vākhāni

Jayapatākā Swami: I do not know the proper sequence of Lord Caitanya's pastimes, yet I am somehow or other trying to glorify Him.

Purport by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhāta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura: The author does not have the ability to describe Śrī Gaurasundara's pastimes in chronological order. He did not describe the exact day and month of Mādhavendra Purī's appearance day. He simply chanted and explained Śrī Caitanya's glories under the influence of his heart's emotions.

Jayapatākā Swami: The Śāntipura’s Paṇḍitas say that the disappearance of Śrī Mādhavendra Purī is observed on the Govinda Dvādaśī, the Dvādaśī before the Gaura-pūrṇimā and they said that as far they know the tradition is that this day is observed as the worshipable day of Śrī Mādhavendra Purī, nowhere does it particularly say appearance day, it says, ‘day of worship’ ārādhanā tithiSo we observe this disappearance day. So, this is the day that always been followed by the Śāntipura descendants of Advaita Ācārya and they know what day they disappeared, I don’t know whether they know what day he appeared.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.522

sarva-vaiṣṇavera pāye mora namaskāra
ithe aparādha kichu nahuka āmāra

Jayapatākā Swami: Let me offer my respectful obeisances at the Lotus feet of the Vaiṣṇavas so that they may not consider my offenses.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 4.523

e sakala puṇya-kathā ye kare śravaṇa
avaśya milaye tāre kṛṣṇa-prema-dhana

Jayapatākā Swami: Whoever hears these auspicious narrations will certainly attain the wealth of ecstatic love for Lord Kṛṣṇa.

Thus ends the chapter entitled, Phalaśruti–The Result of Hearing About These Pastimes
Under the Section: The Lord’s Attempt to Go to Vṛndāvana

So, just be hearing these narrations one can get Kṛṣṇa-prema, prema-dhana, the wealth of pure love for Kṛṣṇa. So, this is a great opportunity that we all have, and we are certainly very pleased to be able to share this with you.
