Jayapatākā Swami: As soon as the son of Viśārada saw Lord Caitanya, he offered Him his full prostrate obeisances.

Jayapatākā Swami: He repeatedly offered obeisances and recited various verses describing the incarnation of Lord Caitanya. Vidyā-vācaspati was so overjoyed to see Lord Caitanya again that he paid his prostrate obeisances again and again and he offered various prayers glorifying the Lord from the Vedic scriptures.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.398

“saṁsāra-uddhāra-lāgi’ ye caitanya-rūpe
tārilena yateka patita bhava-kūpe

Jayapatākā Swami: “In the form of Lord Caitanya You have delivered the entire universe by rescuing the fallen souls from the deep well of material existence.” Actually, in this moderen world, people think they are very advanced, but they have actually lost sight of the spiritual vision. As human beings they should understand that they are not the body, that they are spiritual beings. But in this modern world people identify themselves with the body, and the body with different caste, nationality, creed and designations , and therefore they have lost sight of their spiritual existence and fallen deep into the well of material ignorance and although they are human beings they are actually like sophisticated animals. So Lord Caitanya had come to deliver them.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.399

se gaurasundara-kṛpā samudrera prāya
janma janma citte mora vasuka sadāya

Jayapatākā Swami: “May Lord Gaurasundara, whose mercy is unlimited like the ocean, kindly remain seated in my heart birth after birth.”

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.400

saṁsāra-sāgare magna jagat dekhiyā
niravadhi varṣe prema kṛpā-yukta haiyā

Jayapatākā Swami: “On seeing everyone in the entire world drowning in the ocean of material existence, Lord Caitanya, You mercifully blessed them with a constant shower of ecstatic love.”

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.401

hena ye atula kṛpā-maya gaura-dhāma
sphuruka āmāra hṛdayete avirāma”

Jayapatākā Swami: “May Lord Gaurāṅga, the abode of incomparable mercy, always manifest within my heart.” So, Vidyā-vācaspati is praying for the Lord’s mercy, to be always be present in his heart and that’s how Lord Caitanya is awakening all the people who have fallen in the dark well of material existence, by giving them the unlimited bliss of pure loving ecstasy.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.402

ei mate śloka paḍi’ kare vipra stuti
punaḥ punaḥ daṇḍavat haya vācaspati

Jayapatākā Swami: In this way the brāhmaṇa Vidyā-vācaspati, prayed to the Lord by reciting various verses and offered Him repeated obeisances.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.403

viśārada-caraṇe āmāra namaskāra
sārvabhauma vācaspati nandana yāṅhāra

Jayapatākā Swami: I offer my humble obeisances at the feet of Viśārada, who had Sārvabhauma Bhaṭṭācārya and Vidyā-vācaspati as his sons. This is how the Gṛhasthas can have children and if their children are great devotees, then the parents are truly blessed. the fact that Viśārada had two devotee children, who were also great scholars of Vaiṣṇava philosophy, was a very special credit to Viśārada and his wife, therefore he is offering his obeisances to him.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.404

Jayapatākā Swami: Lord Śrī Gaurasundara acknowledged Vidyā-vācaspati with His merciful glance.

dāṇḍāiyā kara-juḍi’ bale vācaspati
“mora eka nivedana śuna mahāmati

Jayapatākā Swami: Vidyā-vācaspati then stood up with his hands folded and said, “O magnanimous Lord Caitanya, please listen to my request.”

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.406

svacchanda paramānanda tumi mahāśaya
sarva karma tomāra āpana icchā-maya

Jayapatākā Swami: “You, Lord Caitanya, are fully independent and always filled with ecstasy. All of Your activities are performed according to Your own sweet will.” This is the position of the Supreme Lord, He is completely independent at the same time He is submissive to His loving devotees, that is His sweet will.

Purport by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhāta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura: The word svacchanda means “independent” or “by one’s own will.”

In the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (10.14.2) it is stated:

“My dear Lord, You have appeared in this transcendental body of Yours to show mercy on me and to fulfill the desires of Your pure devotees.” In the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (10.14.32) it is stated:

aho bhāgyam aho bhāgyaṁ

“How greatly fortunate are Nanda Mahārāja, the cowherd men, and all the other inhabitants of Vrajabhūmi! There is no limit to their good fortune, because the Absolute Truth, the source of transcendental bliss, the eternal Supreme Brahman, has become their friend.”
