Hare Kṛṣṇa! Dear Devotees! Today we will continue with the compilation of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Book, the chapter entitled:

Phalaśruti - The Result of Hearing About the Pastime of Lord Caitanya in Kuliyā Part 2

Under the Section: The Lord’s Attempt to Go to Vṛndāvana

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.430

apane kakhana nṛtya kare tāra saṇge
apane vihvala apanāra prema raṇge

Jayapatākā Swami: "Sometimes Lord Nityananda danced with Lord Caitanya. He remained overwhelmed in His own ecstatic love."

Lord Nityananda remained overwhelmed in His own Transcendental ecstatic love.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.431

mahāprabhura premahuṅkāra o nṛtya—

nṛtya kare mahāprabhu kari’ siṁha-nāda
se nāda śravaṇe khaṇḍe sakala viṣāda

Translation: Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu roared like a lion as He danced. The lamentation of those who heard that vibration was totally destroyed.

Jayapatākā Swami: Lord Caitanya’s ecstatic dancing and the loud roaring of the Harināma, Hari bol! Anyone who heard it had all their lamentation and material sufferings removed.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.432

yāṅra rase matta-vastra nā jāne śaṅkara
hena prabhu nāce sarva lokera bhitara

Translation: Lord Śaṅkara becomes intoxicated and forgets his cloth while relishing the mellows of ecstatic love for Lord Caitanya who was now dancing amongst the common people.

Jayapatākā Swami: This possibility that the Supreme Personality of Godhead dances with all His devotees, may be with the common people is something inconceivable. Even in their wildest dreams no one could consider that the Supreme Personality of Godhead will dance with them. This pastime shows the unlimited mercy of Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya and how happy He is to dance with the people who were chanting the holy names how happy they are that He is dancing with them

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.433

ananta brahmāṇḍa haya yāṅra śakti-vaśe
se prabhu nācaye pṛthivīte prema-rase

Translation: Innumerable universes are maintained by the potency of that Supreme Lord who was now dancing in this world in the mellows of ecstatic love.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.434

ye prabhu dekhite sarva deve kāmya kare
se prabhu nācaye sarva-gaṇera gocare

Jayapatākā Swami: "All the demigods desired to see that Supreme Lord who was now dancing as Lord Kṛṣṇa Caitanya, before the eyes of one and all, the source of unlimited universes, the Lord of all the demigods."

The Supreme Personality of Godhead is now dancing with the common people in the saṅkīrtana

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.435

ei mata sarva-loka mahānande bhāse
saṁsāra tarila caitanyera parakāśe

Jayapatākā Swami: "In this way everyone was floating in an ocean of ecstasy. The entire world was delivered by the appearance of Lord Caitanya."

We can see how Lord Caitanya was delivering the people by personally dancing in the congregational chanting groups in Kuliyā. Similarly Śrīla Prabhupāda has brought Lord Caitanya’s movement all over the world, and there is His prediction that every town and every village all over the world will chant this holy name. That can be simply realised by the mercy of Nitāi-Gaura and the previous ācāryas

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.436

yateka āise loka daśa dik haite
sabei āsiyā dekhe prabhure nācite

Jayapatākā Swami: "People came from the ten directions to see Lord Caitanya dance."

Ten direction means, eight vertical, North, North-east, east, South South-east, West North west, South-west, North-west, and below and above. That means people came even from higher planets lower planets, and all over this planet to see the Supreme Lord dancing to see the Supreme Lord dancing in ecstatic love.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.437

bāhya nāhi prabhura—vihvala prema-rase
dekhi' sarva-loka sukha-sindhu-mājhe bhāse

Jayapatākā Swami: "Being overwhelmed with ecstatic love, Lord Caitanya lost external consciousness. On seeing this, everyone floated in an ocean of happiness."

In the spiritual world the standard is love, sometimes people say, ‘God is Love’.  Actually we can see Lord Caitanya manifesting this loving ecstasy and all the people who were able to participate in this pastime floated in an ocean of spiritual happiness.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.438

kuliyāya pāpikulera uddhāra—

kuliyāra prakāśe yateka pāpī chila
uttama madhyama nīca—sabe pāra haila

Translation: All the sinners of Kuliyā town the slightly sinful, the moderately sinful, and the greatly sinful—were delivered.

Purport (by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura): Various classes of sinful people lived in Kuliyā twon, which was situated across the Ganges from Śrī Māyāpur. All three types of sinners—the slightly sinful, the moderately sinful, and the greatly sinful— were freed from their offenses by the Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu's mercy.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, normally one has to be somewhat pious, very pious indeed, to receive the Lord s mercy, but here we can see that the slightly sinful, the moderately sinful, and the greatly sinful people were all delivered. So, there was no restrictions, everyone can chant the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra

Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare
Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare

and thus achieve this causeless mercy of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.439

kuliyā-grāmete caitanyera parakāśa
ihāra śravaṇe sarva-karma-bandha-nāśa

Translation: One who hears about the Lord Caitanya's manifestation in Kuliyā is freed from the bondage of all fruitive activity.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, simply hearing about the unlimited mercy of Lord Nityānanda and Lord Caitanya, Their dancing in the kīrtana parties, Their distribution of love of Kṛṣṇa to everyone, and Their deliverance of the slightly sinful, the moderately sinful, and the greatly sinful peaple, all these wonderful pastimes completely destroy one’s bondage to the fruitive activities and thus one can easily go back to Godhead.

Caitanya-Bhāgavata Antya-khaṇḍa 3.440-441

sakala jīvere prabhu daraśana diyā
sukha-maya-citta-vṛtti sabāra
kariyā

tabe saba āpana pārṣada-gaṇa laiyā
vasilena mahāprabhu bāhya prakāśiyā

Translation: After giving darśana to everyone and filling their hearts with happiness, Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu sat down with His associates and returned to external consciousness.

Jayapatākā Swami: All the people in Kuliyā had this opportunity to engage in the saṅkīrtana with Lord Nityānanda and Lord Caitanya, and they had become completely happy by the Lord’s mercy on them. Their desire is to be delivered by the Lord and the Lord did that in a very sublime manner.

Thus ends the chapter entitled, Phalaśruti - The Result of Hearing About The Pastime of Lord Caitanya in Kuliyā
