GURU MAHARAJ – 140307 - NAVADVIP MANDAL PARIKRAMA 2014 DAY 3 – PANCHAVENI – INTERNATIONAL PARTY

On the way here, you cross Ucchahatta. Ucchahatta is non different from Kurukshetra. It is the place of pilgrimage for the Holy rivers. So sometimes the devas they come down and chant kirtan and they raise their arms and they say, Gauranga! Gauranga! Gauranga! That is why it is known as Ucchahatta – raised hands. But if you stay in Kurukshetra for 100 years and you stay here for one night in Ucchahatta, is the same result. Jai Sri Sri Bhakti Vigna Narasimha Maharaj! Did I get the name right? (HH BV Nrsimha maharaj said Vignavinashan) Bhakti Vignavinashan Narasimha Maharaj! So this place where you took your prasadam is known as Panchaveni. This is the place where five rivers merged and therefore it is a Maha Thirtha in which the devas also come down to take their bath in. Many devotees they take the water and put on their heads. Have you done? Then, when you cross over the river here, you go from Madhyadwip to Koladwip. You remember the nine islands? Antardwip, Simantadwip, Rudradwip, Madhyadwip, Godrumdwip, Ritudwip, Jahnudwip, Modadrumdwip, and Koladwip. Don’t forget. So even the air here inspires one to serve the Lord. Breathe deep! Chant loud! Gauranga! Are you getting enough prasadam? Enough air? Enough water? Enough walking? Ha! Ha! I told you yesterday that when you are in Navadwip dham there are lots of people will be watching you and so you should be very orderly and chant and dance ecstatically. One pastime since Varahadev, He touched Koladwip, there was a devotee of Varahadev, I think someone else is going to speak on this pastime. There is another pastime I would like to share, Devananda Pandit, he was giving his daily Srimad Bhagavatam class but his class was not like a devotee and he presented his class as a Pandit mayawadi. Somehow Srivas Thakur, he sat down in the back and at the end of the class he was reminded of the pastimes of Krishna and uncontrollably he started to cry and maybe he fainted also. Anyway, Devananda Pandit saw this was a disturbance. He said, no ecstasies in my class. So he was picked up by some people and thrown out on the street. So Lord Caitanya met him on the street. He called Devananda Pandit and He told him, you have zero understand of bhakti! And you are simplay a Pandit by name only. You do not know the essence of the Srimad Bhagavatam and you are offending a pure devotee like Srivas and many other things. He blasted out at Devananda Pandit. And Devananda Pandit, his face was red with anger, but his relative was a devotee of Lord Caitanya. What is the name of the dancer? So Vakreshwara Pandit, he talked to him that Lord Caitanya is actually Krishna avatar and that He came down according to the predictions of the shaastras, but He is acting in disguise as a devotee. So like that, Devananda started to introspect. So this Koladwip is as I told you yesterday, is famous for forgiving the offences there. Aparaadh bhanjan, kulia poth. So he (Devananda Pandit) realized his errors and somehow he begged Srivas for pardon and he was accepted by Lord Caitanya in His sankirtan party, to make a long story short. So all these pastimes happened in Koladwip. So I will leave you here as I have to go and meet other parties. You are blessed with the association of Bhakti Dheera Swami, Bhakti Vignavinashan Nrsimha Swami, Bhakti Nityananda Swami. Bhakti Nityananda Swami has been leading this party for many, many years. And there is also Surabhi devi dasi, Prabhupad disciple. So now, Bhakti Niyananda Swami is still leading the party even as a sanyasi. I am happy to see all the devotees here.
