Did you all enjoy Ratha-yatra? . Did you really enjoy? . I am not convinced . Chant louder than that <> <<>>. So, it seems like you had good time. Who said bhakti-yoga is not fun? Serving Lord Krishna in bhakti-yoga is the most ecstatic of all activities. Ganapathy, when he had the opportunity to write the pastimes of Lord Krishna, he immediately broke-out his dusk. When Lord Shiva heard the glories of Lord Caitanya, he began dancing in kailash and saying…

When Narada muni, he was serving Lakshmi for celestial 12 years. Then, she said, "I am very pleased with you, what would you like?" He said, "I would like a fist of Lord Narayana's maha-prasadam." Lakshmi was embarrassed because this was the one thing that Lord Narayana said, "Don't give out My remnants." So she asked Narada muni, "Ask for something else, because Lord Narayana has forbidden me to give out His prasadam." But Narada muni said, "I don't want anything else." So, normally in Vaikuntha nobody is in anxiety. So, Lakshmi Devi she stuck out, because she was in anxiety. So Lord Narayana asked, "Why you are in anxiety?" So, she explained, how Narada muni was serving her for 12 years and she wanted to reward him. But he all wanted was some maha-prasadam. But the Lord had forbidden her to give out any maha-prasadam. So, He said, "you can give out but not in front of Me." So she got one mustika of maha-prasadam. And she called Narada muni over. I have it, I have it. The Maha-prasadam of Lord Narayana. Narada Muni said, "please give me." How??? Eppadi??? You don't want??? You don't want??? Then Lakshmi gave him. Then Narada muni went into outer space and he ate the maha-prasadam. Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Narada muni was flying all over the universe and he was brilliant like millions of suns. He was so ecstatic.

Once you he flew by kailash, so Lord Shiva brought him down. You Narada! My brother, why are you so ecstatic? So, he explained. How he got the maha-prasadam of Lord Narayana. Lord Shiva, he said, Narada we are friends, we are brothers, we both born from Lord Brahma. So when you got the Maha-prasadam from Lord Narayana, surely you saved a little for me, for your brother. But at that moment Narada muni, when he got the maha-prasadam, he ate it all. He felt embarrassed, How he had to say no? Then he saw, he had little in his finger nail. He had not washed his hands. I have a little spec in my finger nail. Lord Shiva said, even a konika, konika mathram, even a small spec will do. Please give me, what did Lord Shiva do? Narada muni gave him, the spec that he had. Lord Shiva he took it. Haribol!!! Haribol!!! Haribol!!!

And Lord Shiva was dancing and dancing, he was playing on his dundubi drum. He started dancing so ecstatically that in the lower regions of the universe there was earthquake, tidal waves. So, mother Parvati quickly came back to kailash. Swami!!! Swami!!! Lord Shiva, he stopped dancing. He opened his eyes. He saw mother Girija. He said, "What have you done? What have you done?" I was feel the greatest ecstasy. And you broke the ecstasy. She said, "I am sorry, but it not the time for maha-pralaya and your dancing was bringing destruction to the lower planets, as the mother of the material world, I have to do something." Lord Shiva is ashutosh, easily angered, easily pleased. So, he became peaceful. But then, Mother Parvati questioned, "I am your ardhangini, I serve you as your wife everyday, I live with you under this banyan tree, so surely you save half of that Maha-prasadam for me." Lord Shiva said, "No!" Mother asked, "No! Why not?" He said, "I thought you are not qualified." "What! What! Me not qualified?" I am Narayana's daiva-sakthi, I am known as Narayani, Vaishnavi, Bhagavati, and she said, many names. I feel so bad, not getting the maha-prasadam, I feel so bad. Let no one suffer like this. I will feed chandala, dogs, everyone. So there was big marital disturbance between Lord Shiva and Parvati.

Lord Vishnu have to come down to settle this dispute. He brought Parvati to one side, she said, I am suffering so much, because of not get Your maha-prasadam. I want to feed whoever wants. Lord Vishnu said, even if they smell My maha-prasadam, they will be delivered. Then he said, I will come as dharu-brahman, along with My brother and sister, that form will be worshipped as Lord Jagannath Then all My prasadam will first be offered to you. So, in Jagannath Puri, they also have the deity of Parvati Devi as Bimala-devi. And all the Jagannath prasadam, offered to Bimala-devi. That's why it is called "Maha-prasadam" and there they have the custom, everybody sits on the floor and honour prasadam. Whether Brahmana, Kshatriya, Vaishya, Sutra, Chandala, or whatever, everybody can have prasadam. That's why we said, one of the austerities is you must please take some Jagannath maha-prasadam. Who here is willing to take this supreme sacrifice?

So, bhakti-yoga means festivals, means dancing, chanting, feasting, saththvik-prasadam. so these deities are called archa-avatara, the deity, Lord, He comes down as avatara from the spiritual world. We have the great opportunity to serve the Lord. So, I am very thankful that you all participated in Ratha-yatra. In everyday, you should do some seva for Lord Jagannath. By little service to Lord Krishna, you get saved from greatest dangers. You may taste the highest bliss. Sastra tells us, we are not the body. We are the eternal spirit souls, that makes the body alive. But, while we are in this material world, we identify with the body. Krishna is so kind, by using this body we can engage in devotional service. So, use your body to serve the Lord. We are all serving someone. Politician says, "give me your vote, I want to serve you." Husband serves his family; Wife is serving the husband and children; the employees are serving the boss; some people have pet dogs and they serve the dog; so everybody is serving somebody. We should serve the Lord Krishna. By serving Lord Krishna, that is the real, watering the root of a tree. Thank you very much. I am very glad to see all of you. Hare Krishna! Please take prasadam.
