mukam karoti vachalam pangum langhayate girim yat-kripa tam aham vande shri-gurum dina-taranam Paramananda Madhavam Sri Caitanya Iswaram

I have been asked to give a blessing speech. We know that Prabhupad had said Mayapur that is the Spiritual Head Quarters of Iskcon. And we know that Srila Prabhupad he had as a prime objective to print and distribute his books. So we are very pleased that Prabhupad’s desires have been fulfilled here at the Worlds spiritual headquarters and more and more the distribution of books been taken up by various devotees. But the back bone of our book distribution is the sankirtan devotees. So it is an inspiration to see how the devotees are tirelessly distributing the books. The ten vans they go to different places like Tripura, Assam, all over Bengal, Orissa and as well as Bihar and Jharkhand, they go all over Eastern India and they are distributing the message of Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Sometimes it’s dangerous and sometimes it’s very favourable. But in all the circumstances the book distribution goes on. So in our personal cultivation of our Krsna Consciousness, Prabhupad wanted that these books should be read and we are very inspired how the Mayapur book distributors have taken up the Bhakti Shastri and other study courses, how they go for retreats to some holy places and their spiritual guides like Bhakti Purusottam, Sankarshan Nitai, they accompanied the devotees on their spiritual retreats. I heard also HH Bhakti Caru Swami he is also attending some times. And Jananivas and others also attend. So all the Mayapur devotees our hearts are with the travelling book distributors. How they are going and spreading the message of Mayapur far and wide and how they give these books which are like time bombs. One family from Birbhum became a devotee because their uncle bought a book and he left it on the table. And someone else picked it up and read it and then he passed it on and they read it and now that whole family is devotees. So although in the West now there is electronic books, still in India people buy printed books. In fact how the sets of books are being sold is another great inspiration. So I pray to Srila Prabhupad, previous Acharyas that their blessings may be upon all of you. We offer our respect to all the book distributors in Mayapur and everywhere for their great contribution. So this year I hope that I can be part of the strategic team to see how the book distribution can be optimised. Now all the best wishes to all book distributors.
