20200213 TOVP Pūjārī Floor Inaugural Speech

13 Feb 2020|Duration: 00:11:46|English|Public Address|Śrī Māyāpur, India

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
paramānanda-mādhavam śrī caitanya īśvaram

Hariḥ oṁ tat sat!

I offer my respectful obeisances unto Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Prabhupāda Ṭhākura. Lord Nityānanda had told Jīva Gosvāmī that,

eka adbhuta mandira haibe prakāśa
gaurāṅga-nitya-sevā haibe vikāśa

That a wonderful temple will be built, which will broadcast the message of Lord Caitanya all over the world. We hope that this temple is that adbhuta-mandira. But we are trying to fulfill this desire of Lord Nityānanda, of our previous ācāryas, and most important – of Śrīla Prabhupāda! So this is a special service we get to do. Someone asked Śrīla Prabhupāda, why Lord Caitanya or the other ācāryas did not spread the movement all over the world? Śrīla Prabhupāda said, because they wanted to let me do it! Śrīla Prabhupāda kī jaya! Śrīla Prabhupāda, he took his service to spread Kṛṣṇa consciousness all over the world. And he wanted to develop Māyāpur. Actually, there was nothing here, when he came. And he called all his godbrothers and spiritual nephews, and told them that we should all work together, to satisfy His Divine Grace Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Prabhupāda Ṭhākura. But unfortunately, at that time, they didn’t accept. But Śrīla Prabhupāda, he tried to unite them, and we are still trying to unite them. Today we are having a special program in the evening, and we are inviting all the Gauḍīya Maṭhas. But our ISKCON offering is especially this Temple of the Vedic Planetarium, TOVP. And by this temple coming up, we can spread the message of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu all over the world, more emphatically. I thank all the devotees who are participating and helping to build this temple. The doctors said that I wouldn’t survive. I would like to see the opening of this temple. I would like to see the temple finished. So, Kṛṣṇa has blessed me, I am still here!! I hope that I will live to see the temple open. Hare Kṛṣṇa! Thank you very much.
