20220925 Initiation Address

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
hariḥ oṁ tat sat

Jayapatākā Swami: Today was a busy day. I wanted to come here at 7 pm But I was told that I have to attend the JSSS function. [Audio break] I gave out prizes to devotees in Ahmedabad in Gujarat, Punjabi Bagh, Delhi for Bhādra Pūrṇimā. We are very glad we are in Kuching. You have Jagannātha Baladeva Subhadrā and Sudarśana cakra here. Also Pañca-tattva. And Lord Kṛṣṇa. Guru-paramparā and the six Gosvāmīs. So we have also the special blessings of all of Them.

Anyway, we should try to please Kṛṣṇa by doing bhakti-yoga. We should hear the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra and chant. Always remember Kṛṣṇa and never forget Him. In your house and in your altar worship the Deity of Kṛṣṇa. And practice the nine processes of devotional service. Just like, in your house and your life can be purified. Just by remembering Kṛṣṇa all auspiciousness will be there. Punjabi Bagh distributed 1008 Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam sets. The Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is the literary incarnation of Lord Kṛṣṇa. So whoever has Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam in their house, nothing inauspicious will happen there. I hope that all devotees who are taking initiation are ready to seriously practice your vows. Śrīla Prabhupāda was requesting his followers to read his books and we should observe the vows seriously. So it is very important that we should practice bhakti-yoga seriously. And if you can help others also to get into Kṛṣṇa consciousness that will please Lord Kṛṣṇa. Have you taken your vows? Please raise your hand.

I will chant the Pañca-tattva mantra first and then the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra.
