Jayapatākā Swami: All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda! All glories to Nitāi Gaura, Jagannātha Baladeva Subhadrā, Rādhā Kṛṣṇa Ṭhākura kī jaya! As mentioned this is my first visit to this temple and I am very happy to be here. Thank you for your very enthusiastic welcome. And some very elaborate wonderful signboards! I don’t think I was welcomed with so many signs! I remember one! And the Deities are very beautiful. The temple room is very nice, filled with devotees! Thank you for having me come here! Today I think we are outing to see different temples in the island. I was recently hearing a lecture by Śrīla Prabhupāda in London. And he was stating that his gṛhasthas in London had done more work than many sannyāsīs. Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura had sent some sannyāsī disciple to London, but he had not been able to do as much as these gṛhasthas. So he was saying that he wanted the gṛhasthas to be paramahaṁsas. Like Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura, he was a gṛhastha, he was a magistrate, he was a paramahaṁsa. And he had such a child like Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda and we need many such children, such devotees to spread Kṛṣṇa consciousness around the world. Only the gṛhasthas can do this. That is why Śrīla Prabhupāda was requesting the gṛhasthas have very Kṛṣṇa conscious children and that they should be paramahaṁsas, fully Kṛṣṇa conscious.

I recently was in Kolkata, where they got the place where Śrīla Prabhupāda met Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura for the first time. And there they fixed it up and they got a national award for the best Heritage building. Of course, we see that in Malaysia, they have the record of the most lamps offered in Diwali. We hope that this coming Kārtika month, Dāmodara month, you will exceed. We also hope that all the gṛhasthas will be paramahaṁsa devotees of the Lord.

Lord Caitanya visited various gṛhasthas in South India and He would stay one night in their house and then He would request them, whoever they meet, they would tell the upadeśa of Lord Kṛṣṇa. The Bhagavad-gītā is spoken by Lord Kṛṣṇa. One can simply repeat the instructions of Lord Kṛṣṇa from Bhagavad-gītā. Mahārāja is going on 3rd October to Vṛndāvana. He said he is going to be studying, education there. Bhagavad-gītā and Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. We hope that all the devotees here will also study the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam and Bhagavad-gītā, the Caitanya-caritāmṛta and Nectar of Devotion.

Thank you!
