20200302 NMP Day 5 Addressing South India Party [Narasiṁhapallī]

2 Mar 2020|English|Navadvīpa Maṇḍala Parikramā|Transcription|Śrī Māyāpur, India

Saukyamā? (Are you alright? - In Tamil) I offer my obeisances respectfully, to the lotus feet of His Divine Grace Śrīla Abhaya Caraa Bhaktivedānta Swami Prabhupāda!

So now you are in the sacred place of Nsihapalli. It is in the far East of Navadvīpa dhāma. And, Lord Nsihadeva was flying over this Navadvīpa dhāma, and then, when He saw that this is His eternal abode, He landed here! This place is called Devapallī also. Because, when Hirayakaśipu was killed by Lord Nsihadeva, the Lord was very angry, and no one but Prahlāda Mahārāja could approach Him. And He was so angry that the devas could not approach Him. But here in Navadvīpa dhāma the devas constructed cottages, and with the devīs, they cooked and served the Lord as known as Nsihadeva! Because this dhāma of Navadvīpa is one of extreme mercy, so Lord Nsihadeva was approachable here, but in other places He was not so easily approachable. The lake you see is non-different from Mandākinī. It is also sacred, take some water and put on your head. Probably many people have spoken about Lord Nsihadeva, so I won’t speak about Him, as such.

In some ancient history book, it is said that some Mahārāja will come and build (a temple) and develop this place. So, the Bhaktivedanta Swami Charity Trust has constructed an extension of the kīrtana-hall to make it twice as big. So we hope that everyone goes and sees this special deity of Nsihadeva. Nsihadeva removes all the obstacles of the devotee, on the path of devotional service.

In South India, there is Ahobilam where there are nine temples of Lord Nsihadeva. But here in this Nsiha temple, He is much more approachable, and He gives His mercy out freely! I hope that all of you get the mercy of Lord Nsihadeva and are thus able to crossover all the difficulties in your devotional service.

You are in the island of Godrumadvīpa, it is the island of chanting. And you are now at the Nsihapallī and you will be heading to Hari-Hara-kṣetra, which is the temple of Lord Viṣu and Śiva combined. There are many temples in Godrumadvīpa. So, I hope that you have a special ānanda in Godrumadvīpa!

And, today I had a sample of the South Indian prasāda – I had some iiyāppam! This was a favorite of Bhakti Vrajendranandana Swami of Malaysia. And the sodhi was very special! So, I was very inspired to have the South Indian prasāda and I was remembering Bhakti Vrajendranandana Swami! So, I hope that you are liking the Navadvīpa parikramā, and that, today you will be inspired to chant… chant Hare Ka! I hope that every group will send in their books scores – how many books they distributed today.

Thank you very much! Hare Ka! Nandri!  (Thank you - In Tamil)
