2 Oct 2020|Duration: 00:14:09|English|Zoom Sessions|Śrī Māyāpur, India

The following is a zoom session with His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on October 2nd, 2020 in Śrī Dhāma Māyāpur, India. Zoom session with held with the Sanātana Dhāma Devotees .

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
paramānandaṁ mādhavaṁ śrī caitanya iśvaram

hariḥ oṁ tat sat

So this is the sacred month of Puruṣottama. There is a special prayer to Lord Kṛṣṇa that we should say.

govardhanadharam vande
gopālam goparūpiṇam
gokulotsavam īśānam
govindam gopikāpriyam

This mantra should be chanted many time in a day. This adhika month comes every 32 months. Almost three years. It is not good for pious activities. But it is very good for bhakti. This month is considered the king of all months. All the benefit you achieve by the twelve months in a year they do not equal 1/16th of the benefit you can receive from this Puruṣottama Month. So it’s especially recommended to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa; be a vegetarian, eat kṛṣṇa-prasāda; offer a lamp to Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa; bathe in the holy river… maybe in Sanātana-deśa, there are no so many holly rivers. So you can chant the word, “Gaṅgā!” three times. And like this you can have the special blessings of Lord Kṛṣṇa. By observing this month one can go back to Goloka Vṛndāvana. So, that’s why we have a website called www.purusottamamonth.com. Also, during this month, we are having a special Navadvīpa parikramā. October Ninth to the fifteenth.

So that’s... you can register free on www.mayapuronlinefestival.com. Like this we are trying to help the people from all over the world to take the blessings that the Puruṣottama month gives.

The human form of life is meant to awaken our dormant love for Kṛṣṇa. In all the holy scriptures of the world it glorifies the name of God. So we are trying to encourage everyone to take up the chanting of the holy name. Previously, in the previous yugas, there were other processes of sacrifice, meditation, also homas, and temple worship. But in this age, we are not qualified to do anything of these things. So the Lord has come as his holy name. And if we chant the holy name of the Lord, we can achieve all the blessings. So, I don’t want to speak to long because we have to visit all the houses. Just that as a human beings we should perfect our lives and help others. Normally people think that the goal of life is to be sensually satisfied. But sometimes the senses are happy and sometimes they are feeling distressed. And during this world pandemic many people are suffering due to the Corona Virus. So, this is not the goal of life. The Goal of life is that we want to awaken our dormant love for the Lord. I am very grateful that all you devotees are practicing bhakti-yoga.

Thank you very much.

Hare Kṛṣṇa!
