26 Sep 2020|Duration: 00:19:25|English|Zoom Sessions|Transcription|Śrī Māyāpur, India

The following is a Zoom Session with Utkarsha devotees by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on September 26th, 2020 in Śrī Dhāma Māyāpur, India.

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
paramānandaṁ mādhavaṁ śrī caitanya iśvaram

Hariḥ oṁ tat sat!

Jayapatākā Swami: I have visited Odisha many times on Zoom but I have not been to Rourkela on Zoom.

I have physically been there.

Now I am in Māyāpur and visiting various places via Zoom.

There is a Bangla JPS Facebook.

I don’t know if there is one in Odiya or not.

This Puruṣottama month is very special for bhakti.

Every three years after 32 months this Puruṣottama month comes.

This month is not good for śubha-karma but very good for bhakti.

Tomorrow is Padminī Ekādaśī and there is one other Ekādaśī which is Parama Ekādaśī.

If these Ekādaśīs are followed properly then at the end of this life one can go back to Goloka.

And especially in this life there will be peace and happiness.

I am very grateful that many devotees are observing the ‘World Holy Name Week’ and I have seen many videos on this.

That is officially over but still there are facilities for the people to chant the holy names.

Generally, people think that sense gratification is their goal of life.

But senses can be happy and sad.

The goal of life should be service to the Lord.

That should be our goal in life.

Sometimes there will be happiness, sometimes distress in this material world but we should always serve the Lord.

I am very happy, how husband and wife in the house they are worshiping Jagannātha, Baladeva, Subhadrā and Rādhā Kṛṣṇa and Gaura-Nitāi Deities nicely.

There are four āśramas of varṇāśrama: brahmacarya-āśrama, gṛhastha-āśrama, vānaprastha and sannyāsa (Four āśramas).

Gṛhastha life is for doing service to the Lord.

I saw that many devotees are doing service in Māyāpur from Utkaladeśa, Odisha.

For that I thank them profusely.

This Puruṣottama month if we do snāna i.e. bath in the holy river, dāna, charity, etc.and worship of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa is recommended.

This human life is very rare.

By getting this human life we have the opportunity to go back to Godhead.

There is no profit in staying in this material world are there is birth, death, sickness and old age here.

But in Vaikuṇṭha and Goloka there is none of these.

There we can serve Śrī Kṛṣṇa very nicely.

Every day I give class at 7pm IST on Caitanya-līlā on Zoom.

Caitanya Mahāprabhu said that we should all visit Jagannātha Purī.

That is why He went to Nīlācala.

The Navadvīpa-vāsīs are feeling great separation because of the absence of Lord Caitanya.

But Nityānanda Prabhu sent them to Śāntipura to meet Lord Caitanya.

Anyway, you are all very fortunate because Lord Caitanya stayed for 18 years in Jagannātha Purī.

He toured for six years in South India and stayed in Nīlācala for 18 years.

It is very rare to get kṛṣṇa-prema but Lord Nityānanda and Lord Caitanya distributed it easily to all of us.

We hope that through the names of Kṛṣṇa, we get the association of Lord Kṛṣṇa.

This way, chanting the name of God, serving the Lord, studying the scriptures of the Lord, following the teachings of Lord Caitanya, we can then return to Godhead.

Gṛhe thāko vane thāko sadā hari bole ḍāko— whether at home or in the forest, always chant the name of Lord Hari.

The name of the Lord is non-different from Him.

That is why we always chant the name of the Lord.

I am grateful that you are all chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra.

Hare Kṛṣṇa!
