The following is a Zoom address at the Kaushal Middle East Kids Program by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on September 25th,2020 in Śrī Dhāma Māyāpur, India.

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-gurun dina tāriṇam
paramānanda-mādhavam śrī caitanya īśvaram

Hariḥ oṁ tat sat!

Jayapatākā Swami: I feel very fortunate to be a witness of the finale of this performance by the various participants. Lord Caitanya advised that we should always remember Kṛṣṇa and never forget Him. So in this Bāla-utsava I saw in your talent competition it was very easy to always remember Kṛṣṇa and never forget Him. All the participants, whether they were cooking, dancing singing, or drawing or doing any activity, they were very brought out, they were always thinking about Kṛṣṇa. I thought the judges, they were encouraging, at the same time they were giving their advice. I appreciate the judges, the participants, everybody. A singer explained that the easiest way to reach Kṛṣṇa is through bhakti. Actually, that is the only way. By aṣṭāṅga-yoga you can reach Paramātmā, by jñāna-yoga you can reach the impersonal Brahman, but to reach Kṛṣṇa, you have to use bhakti.

So actually, the human form of life is special because we can reach Kṛṣṇa. Also, we see how by these different arts, the finer aspects of human life come out. And how these are actually meant to find Kṛṣṇa, to worship Kṛṣṇa. This Bāla-Utsava, in spite of the lockdown was very inspiring to see how they were using their talents in the service of Kṛṣṇa. So, I wish all good fortune to everyone, to the participants, to the talented children, to the judges and all those who are watching. Actually, if we chant the names of Kṛṣṇa, if we participate in using our talents for Kṛṣṇa, naturally we become fortunate! And especially this being held in the Puruṣottama month, which all the other months put together do not equal 1/16th of this month! This month is especially for bhakti. Not for puṇya. So, I saw that this Bāla-Utsava was particularly focused on bhakti. So, I am very inspired, and I hope that you can do such festivals in the future. I am very pleased to see that even in a short time, how wonderful talent the children have, how they are using that to serve Kṛṣṇa. So thank you very much for this opportunity. We hope that everybody will use their human life to serve Kṛṣṇa and go back to Kṛṣṇaloka. Thank you very much! Hare Kṛṣṇa!

Okay that is a good idea, we can make it a worldwide effort, project. Talk to me, I will try to arrange that very quickly. Thank you very much!

Hare Kṛṣṇa!
