Jayapatākā Swami: Today is the third day. Now there will be accepting of the kṛṣṇa-mālā. One mālā has 108 beads. So every day you have to chant that 16 times. 16 times a 108 is 1,728. So that is 1,728 times. So, in that way, that is 1 crore times the mahā-mantra. If you chant 8 mālās, that is half a crore. If you chant 4 rounds, that is a quarter of a crore. So, those who are taking initiation they chant 1 crore. And 1 mālā equals 108 times of mahā-mantra chanting. And by chanting every day a fixed number of rounds, we become very fixed in our Kṛṣṇa consciousness. And that the name of Kṛṣṇa is not different from Kṛṣṇa. So, by regularly chanting the name of Kṛṣṇa, all the impurities are cleansed from our consciousness. So, we are requesting all the candidates for initiation to continue chanting, and in this way, taste the nectar. So, I think you have heard many glories of the holy name. So I don’t want to speak more. How many of you have taken your vows, raise your hand. Those who have not taken the vows, raise your hand. No one left over, right? Then, now to hasten the program, one person will say the previous name, legal name of the candidate and announce the spiritual name and I will hand over the beads. Now, before the initiation ceremony, those who have pledged to chanting 16 rounds and have been doing so for the past six months will be given shelter.
