20220917 Vyāsa-pūjā Homage to His Holiness Bhakti Cāru Swami Mahārāja

Jayapatākā Swami: My dear Śrī Śrīmad Bhakti Cāru Swami Mahārāja,

Today is the special day of Śrī Śrī Bhakti Cāru Mahārāja, as on this day he appeared. It is only because of him having translated, are all the writings of Śrīla Prabhupāda available in Bengali. He wanted to do some personal service to Śrīla Prabhupāda. His Holiness Bhakti Cāru Swami made special efforts to do this personal service. His kīrtanas were very melodious and sweet, and he thus attracted everyone by this. Also, he expressed the various cultural flavors. And therefore, His Holiness Bhakti Cāru Swami was famous as the Cultural Ambassador for ISKCON. His kīrtanas used to attract the previous ācāryas as well. And he also used to be an expert cook and offer prasāda to many devotees. He was not only an expert cook and exchanged offerings with devotees, but also had exchanges in various other ways with the devotees. When he used to cook at his home, for various reasons I was not able to go there to honor the prasāda, so he used to fill it up in tiffin carriers and send the prasāda over to me! I have heard from different brahmacārīs and devotees how he used to enthuse the devotees. He used to express a special friendship for me. He constructed a beautiful temple in Ujjain. And when I went there, he had made very nice arrangements for my stay, and care, etc. Today is his appearance day but he desired to serve Śrīla Prabhupāda and he has gone back to Śrīla Prabhupāda. Hare Kṛṣṇa!
