20230929 Darśana Address to ISKCON Koramangala Devotees

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
paramānanda-mādhavam śrī caitanya īśvaram

Jayapatākā Swami: I went to the Middle East to start the preaching there. There I saw His Grace Vijaya Veṇugopāla Prabhu and Prema Padminī Mātājī who hosted me and they were very dynamic with the Bhakti-vṛkṣa. They started the Mathurādeśa Bhakti-vṛkṣa. In the Middle East one has to do programs a bit low key. And I am very glad to see so many devotees actively participating in Koramangala. This is the secret of bhakti-yoga. You see, in this temple we have established Nityānanda Naṭavara and Gaurasundara. Here are also Rādhā Vinoda. Before we had Lord Jagannātha, Baladeva Subhadrā and Sudarśana. The Deities have come here, you can come here and take darśana and offer your worship any time in the ICC. In Koramangala I hear that you are having Janmaṣṭāmī and various programs.

So the secret is that we want to worship Kṛṣṇa in such a way that he understands our heart. I was mentioning how there are three kinds of worship for Kṛṣṇa and so there is the niṣkāma devotion where one worships simply to please the Lord. Then sakāma where one worships the Lord to get some material benefits. And then there is just worshiping the Lord but not very clear about it. So we want people to become niṣkāma devotees so that Kṛṣṇa, He takes you back with Him to the eternal spiritual world. Today, I heard that two disciples, one in Malaysia and one in Māyāpur have left their bodies. They were chanting in front of their altars in front of their Deities and they left their bodies. Sooner or later, we have to leave. That is guaranteed. But devotees, they leave their body with no pain and no regret. And they go back to the spiritual sky. So while you are here I am glad that you are taking responsibility for preaching, you are helping Prema Padminī and Vijaya Veṇugopāla Prabhu. And that you are developing a very nice attitude in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Haribol!
