20230623 Morning Address

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
paramānanda-mādhavam śrī caitanya īśvaram
Harihi oṁ tat sat

Jayapatākā Swami: Now I was here from the inauguration of the Ratha-yātrā. But I did not have the opportunity to have darśana of Śrī Śrī Rādhā Govinda and Gaurāṅga Naṭarāja. So today I took the opportunity to take Their darśana. Presently, the Ratha-yātrā, They are staying in Guṇḍicā. There, there is a Rādhā Govinda Deity there. Śrīla Prabhupāda said that when Lord Jagannātha goes in Ratha-yātrā, then the Deities of Rādhā Kṛṣṇa should be there too. As of now They are going from Nīlācala to Sundarācala, Vṛndāvana. Śrīla Prabhupāda had been here in Kolkata for a long time. This is his birthplace and he used to come to this temple. He said that something had to be arranged for Kolkata because he had taken birth in this place. I had the opportunity to serve in this temple for many years. And Śrīla Prabhupāda said that you should see to it that the Ratha-yātrā here is on a large scale. With the Lord’s mercy, I have been able to contribute to every Ratha-yātrā here. That you have all come and are taking darśana of Rādhā Govinda for which I am very grateful. I actually had not expected to talk here, I had just come to take darśana. Hare Kṛṣṇa!
