Translation: “After performing such wonderful pastimes, Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa went up on the shore of the Yamunā River, taking with Him all His beloved gopīs. Then the gopīs on the riverbank rendered service by massaging Kṛṣṇa and the other gopīs with scented oil and smearing paste of āmalakī fruit on their bodies.
Jayapatākā Swami: So, the mañjarīs were doing seva by massaging Kṛṣṇa and the gopīs with āmalakī and other scented paste.

Translation: “Then they all bathed again, and after putting on dry clothing, they went to a small jeweled house, where the gopī Vṛndā arranged to dress them in forest clothing by decorating them with fragrant flowers, green leaves and all kinds of other ornaments.
Jayapatākā Swami: So, Vṛndā devī is another name for Tulasī and she decorated all the gopīs and Kṛṣṇa with forest flowers and this way everyone was beautifully decorated with natural leaves and forest flowers, etc.
Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 18.102

Translation: “In Vṛndāvana, the trees and creepers are wonderful because throughout the entire year they produce all kinds of fruits and flowers. The gopīs and maidservants in the bowers of Vṛndāvana picked these fruits and flowers and brought them before Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa.
Jayapatākā Swami: So here we see all the mañjarīs, the maid servants of the gopīs, how they are serving Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa and the gopīs, bringing natural fruits and flowers from the trees.
Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 18.103

Translation: “The gopīs peeled all the fruits and placed them together on large plates on a platform in the jeweled cottage. They arranged the fruit in orderly rows for eating, and in front of it they made a place to sit.
Jayapatākā Swami: So here in the jeweled cottage what was the arrangement is described, how bringing plates with various fruits, peeled and arranged on the plates, was set up for Kṛṣṇa and gopīs to partake. So how all the devotees are engaged in services for the Divine Couple is being described. How in Vṛndāvana, there is a jeweled cottage. Jewels are something that we hear about but we don’t see much. But here we hear they are actually; natural cottage and we see all the devotees engaged in the services.
Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 18.104

Translation: “There were cantaloupes, kṣīrikās, palmfruits, keśuras, water fruits, lotus fruits, bels, pīlus, pomegranates and many others. Some of them are variously known in different places, but in Vṛndāvana all of them are always available in so many thousands of varieties that no one can fully describe them.
Jayapatākā Swami: Vṛndāvana today is being overtaken by the Rajasthani desert. But 5000 years ago, it was apparently producing unlimited kinds of fruits and these were being offered by the mañjarīs to Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa and the gopīs.
Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 18.106
gaṅgājala, amṛtakeli, pīyūṣagranthi, karpūrakeli,

rādhā yāhā kṛṣṇa lāgi’ āni
Translation: “At home Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī had made various types of sweetmeats from milk and sugar, such as gaṅgājala, amṛtakeli, pīyūṣagranthi, karpūrakeli, sarapūrī, amṛti, padmacini and khaṇḍa-kṣīrisāra-vṛkṣa. She had then brought them all for Kṛṣṇa.
Jayapatākā Swami: So various kinds of sweetmeats were prepared in advance by Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī and then at this time after their water sports, She had various sweets brought for the pleasure of Kṛṣṇa.
Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 18.107

Translation: “When Kṛṣṇa saw the very nice arrangement of food, He happily sat down and had a forest picnic. Then, after Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī and Her gopī friends partook of the remnants, Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa lay down together in the jeweled house.
Jayapatākā Swami: When Kṛṣṇa saw the wonderful arrangement for prasāda He was very happy and He sat down and participated in the forest picnic and then, He had Rādhārāṇī and the gopīs, they also partook of His remnants. All these things were seen by Lord Caitanya in His vision while He was floating in the sea.
Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 18.108
keha kare vījana, keha pāda-samvāhana,
keha karāya tāmbūla bhakṣaṇa
rādhā-kṛṣṇa nidrā gelā, sakhī-gaṇa śayana kailā,
dekhi’ āmāra sukhī haila mana
Translation: “Some of the gopīs fanned Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa, others massaged Their feet, and some fed Them betel leaves to chew. When Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa fell asleep, all the gopīs also lay down. When I saw this, My mind was very happy.
Jayapatākā Swami: Lord Caitanya in His half-external consciousness, is describing all the things which He saw, and He was very happy seeing Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa and seeing all the gopīs offering Them sevā. He is expressing His extreme bliss on seeing all these things.
Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 18.109
prabhura kṛṣṇasukha-vāñchā :—
hena-kāle more dhari, mahā-kolāhala kari’,
tumi-saba ihāṅ lañā āilā
kāṅhā yamunā, vṛndāvana, kāṅhā kṛṣṇa, gopī-gaṇa,
sei sukha bhaṅga karāilā!”
Translation: “Suddenly, all of you created a great tumult and picked Me up and brought Me back here. Where now is the river Yamunā? Where is Vṛndāvana? Where are Kṛṣṇa and the gopīs? You have broken My happy dream!”
Jayapatākā Swami: So, Lord Caitanya was expressing His dissatisfaction with the way the devotees chanted the Hare Kṛṣṇa māhā-mantra in His ear, creating a great tumult and then bring Him back to the shore of the sea. Where is Vṛndāvana gone? Where have Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa gone? Like this, He was brought back from His happy dream! Shoooo!
Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 18.110
arddha-bāhya haite bāhyadaśāya āgamana, svarūpake kāraṇa-jijñāsā, svarūpera uttara :—
eteka kahite prabhura kevala ‘bāhya’ haila
svarūpa-gosāñire dekhi’ tāṅhāre puchila
Translation: Speaking in this way, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu fully returned to external consciousness. Seeing Svarūpa Dāmodara Gosvāmī, the Lord questioned him.
Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 18.111
‘ihāṅ kene tomarā āmāre lañā āilā?’
svarūpa-gosāñi tabe kahite lāgilā
Translation: “Why have you brought Me here?” He asked. Then Svarūpa Dāmodara answered Him.
Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 18.112
“yamunāra bhrame tumi samudre paḍilā
samudrera taraṅge āsi, eta dūra āilā!
Translation: “You mistook the sea for the Yamunā River,” he said, “and You jumped into it. You have been carried this far by the waves of the sea.
Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 18.113
ei jāliyā jāle kari’ tomā uṭhāila
tomāra paraśe ei preme matta ha-ila
Translation: “This fisherman caught You in his net and rescued You from the water. Because of Your touch, he is now mad with ecstatic love for Kṛṣṇa.
Haribol!
Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 18.114
saba rātri sabe beḍāi tomāre anveṣiyā
jāliyāra mukhe śuni’ pāinu āsiyā
Translation: “Throughout the night, we all walked about in search of You. After hearing from this fisherman, we came here and found You.
Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 18.115
tumi mūrcchā-chale vṛndāvane dekha krīḍā
tomāra mūrcchā dekhi’ sabe mane pāi pīḍā
Translation: “While apparently unconscious, You witnessed the pastimes in Vṛndāvana, but when we saw You unconscious, we suffered great agony in our minds.
Jayapatākā Swami: Svarūpa Dāmodara Gosvāmī explained exactly what had happened and described, and why the devotees acted the way they did. So, Lord Caitanya was then brought to His external consciousness fully and then He could understand what was happening.
Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 18.116
kṛṣṇa-nāma la-ite tomāra ‘ardha-bāhya’ ha-ila
tāte ye pralāpa kailā, tāhā ye śunila”
Translation: “When we chanted the holy name of Kṛṣṇa, however, You came to semiconsciousness, and we have all been hearing You speak like a madman.”
Jayapatākā Swami: When the Lord is semi-conscious, He is still seeing the pastimes and He is able to communicate those with people who were around Him and this was explained by Svarūpa Dāmodara Gosvāmī.
Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 18.117
prabhukarttṛka svīya vṛttānta-varṇana :—
prabhu kahe,—“svapne dekhi’ gelāṅa vṛndāvane
dekhi,—kṛṣṇa rāsa karena gopīgaṇa-sane
Translation: Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu said, “In My dream I went to Vṛndāvana, where I saw Lord Kṛṣṇa perform the rāsa dance with all the gopīs.
Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 18.118
jala-krīḍā kari’ kailā vanya-bhojane
dekhi’ āmi pralāpa kailuṅ—hena laya mane”
Translation: “After sporting in the water, Kṛṣṇa enjoyed a picnic. I can understand that after seeing this I must certainly have talked like a madman.”
Jayapatākā Swami: Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Mahāprabhu is seeing all these things and was revealing what He was saying. So, it must have been completely incomprehensible to the others. Therefore, He was speaking in madness of love for Kṛṣṇa.
Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 18.119
svarūpera mahāprabhuke snānānte gṛhe ānayana :—
tabe svarūpa-gosāñi taṅre snāna karāñā
prabhure lañā ghara āilā ānandita hañā
Translation: Thereafter, Svarūpa Dāmodara Gosvāmī had Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu bathe in the sea, and then he very happily brought Him back home.
Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 18.120
Jayapatākā Swami: So, this was one day with Lord Caitanya. Ha! Ha! They thought He was gone, they found this fisherman who said he was possessed by a ghost but he kept chanting Hari Hari! and he said when he chanted the Narasiṁha mantra, the ghost came twice as much and then Svarūpa Dāmodara Gosvāmī could understand that he could have touched Lord Caitanya and he got love of Krsna. Then they found Lord Caitanya and they chanted in His ear loudly the Hare Kṛṣṇa māhā-mantra and brought Lord Caitanya half-back. Then He was describing all the pastimes of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa and the gopīs. The Rāsa-Lila, the water sports, the jeweled house where they were having the forest picnic. So, He was expressing all these wonderful things, pastimes. When He came to external consciousness, He was asking where is Vṛndāvana? Where is the Yamunā? Why have you brought Me here? Then Svarūpa Dāmodara Gosvāmī explaining what had actually happened, how He mistook the sea for the Yamunā and jumped in, He was swept almost to Koṇārka which almost 19 km from Jagannātha Purī. So, like that, they had to bathe Him and took Him back to Jagannātha Purī.
Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 18.120
prabhura ei mahābhāva-śravaṇe acaitanyerao kṛṣṇonmukhatārūpa caitanya-lābha :—
ei ta’ kahiluṅ prabhura samudra-patana
ihā yei śune, pāya caitanya-caraṇa
Translation: Thus I have described the incident of Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu’s falling into the ocean. Anyone who listens to this pastime will certainly attain shelter at the lotus feet of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu.
Jayapatākā Swami: Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu ki jai! Who wants the shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu? so, listening to this pastime, we get it!
