mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
paramānandaṁ mādhavaṁ śrī caitanya iśvaram

Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 12.86

jagadānandera navadvīpe śacīsakāśe āgamana o praṇāmānte prabhudatta dravyādi-pradāna :—

pūrva-varṣe jagadānanda ’āi’ dekhibāre
prabhu-ājñā lañā āilā nadīyā-nagare

Translation: The previous year, Jagadānanda Paṇḍita, following the Lord’s order, had returned to the city of Nadia to see Śacīmātā.

Jayapatākā Swami: On Lord Caitanya's order Jagadānanda Paṇḍita came to see Śacīmātā and he told her different confidential topics of Lord Caitanya.

Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 12.87

āira caraṇa yāi’ karilā vandana
jagannāthera vastra-prasāda kailā nivedana

Translation: When he arrived, he offered prayers at her lotus feet and then offered her the cloth and prasādam of Lord Jagannātha.

Jayapatākā Swami: Having come from Jagannātha Purī he brought prasāda cloth and prasāda food from Lord Jagannātha for Śacīmātā.

Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 12.88

prabhura nāme mātāre daṇḍavat kailā
prabhura vinati-stuti mātāre kahilā

Translation: He offered obeisances to Śacīmātā in the name of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu and informed her of all the Lord’s submissive prayers to her.

Jayapatākā Swami: Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu was careful to offer His respects to His purva āśrama mother, He was showing by example, how one should respect parents.

Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 12.89

jagadānanda-samīpe śacīra putrakathā-śravaṇa :—

jagadānande pāñā mātā ānandita mane
teṅho prabhura kathā kahe, śune rātri-dine

Translation: Jagadānanda’s coming pleased mother Śacī very much. As he talked of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu, she listened day and night.

Jayapatākā Swami: Mother Śacī was fixed in the Lord's devotional service of vātsalya-rasa, as such she loves to hear pastimes of the Lord.

Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 12.90

śacīra nikaṭa madhye madhye prabhura harṣabhare mātṛpācitānna-bhojana-saṁvāda-jñāpana :—

jagadānanda kahe,—“mātā, kona kona dine
tomāra ethā āsi’ prabhu karena bhojane

Translation: Jagadānanda Paṇḍita said, “My dear mother, sometimes the Lord comes here and eats all the food you have offered.

Jayapatākā Swami: Lord Caitanya would come unseen to Navadvīpa and take the food that Mother Śacī had prepared. This secret was revealed to Jagadānanda and Lord Caitanya told him to tell to His mother

Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 12.91

bhojana kariyā kahe ānandita hañā
mātā āji khāoyāilā ākaṇṭha pūriyā

Translation: “After eating the food, the Lord says, ‘Today Mother has fed Me up to My neck.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, Lord Caitanya would eat the prasāda offered by Mother Śacī fully upto His neck and therefore He was completely satisfied.

Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 12.92

vātsalyabhare prabhura sākṣādbhojanake śacīra svapna bodha

āmi yāi’ bhojana kari—mātā nāhi jāne
sākṣāte khāi āmi’ teṅho ’svapna’ hena māne”

Translation: “I go there and eat the food My mother offers, but she cannot understand that I am eating it directly. She thinks that this is a dream.”

Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 12.93

śacīra parama vātsalyokti :—

mātā kahe,—“kata rāndhi uttama vyañjana
nimāñi ihāṅ khāya,—icchā haya mora mana

Translation: Śacīmātā said, “I wish Nimāi would eat all the nice vegetables I cook. That is my desire.

Jayapatākā Swami: Mother Śacī was filled with vātsalya-rasa and she was cooking simply for the Lord's pleasure. She didn’t know that actually He was coming taking the prasāda.

Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 12.94

nimāñi khāñāche,—aiche haya mora mana
pāche jñāna haya,—muñi dekhinu ’svapana’”

Translation: “Sometimes I think that Nimāi has eaten them, but afterwards I think that I was only dreaming.”

Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 12.95

śacīmātā o gauḍīya-bhaktagaṇasaha paṇḍitera caitanyakathāya paramasukhe dina-yāpana :—

ei-mata jagadānanda śacīmātā-sane
caitanyera sukha-kathā kahe rātri-dine

Translation: In this way, Jagadānanda Paṇḍita and mother Śacī talked day and night about the happiness of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu.

Jayapatākā Swami: Mother Śacī was simply interested in how the Lord would be happy, and she had no material desire and her only desire was Her transcendental son’s happiness.

Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 12.96

nadīyāra bhakta-gaṇe sabāre mililā
jagadānande pāñā sabe ānandita hailā

Translation: Jagadānanda Paṇḍita met all the other devotees in Nadia. They were all very happy to have him present.

Jayapatākā Swami: All the devotees in Navadvīpa were fully dedicated to Lord Caitanya, so when they had the association of Jagadānanda Paṇḍita, who was coming from Purī, they would hear the pastimes of Lord Caitanya and be very happy.

Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 12.97

ācārya milite tabe gelā jagadānanda
jagadānande pāñā haila ācārya ānanda

Translation: Jagadānanda Paṇḍita thereafter went to meet Advaita Ācārya, who also was very happy to have him.

Jayapatākā Swami: All these devotees of Lord Caitanya were happy to associate with Jagadānanda Paṇḍita.

Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 12.98

vāsudeva, murāri-gupta jagadānande pāñā
ānande rākhilā ghare, nā dena chāḍiyā

Translation: Vāsudeva Datta and Murāri Gupta were so pleased to see Jagadānanda Paṇḍita that they kept him at their homes and would not allow him to leave.

Jayapatākā Swami: The Associates of Lord Caitanya were hungry for anything on the topics of Lord Caitanya so they kept Jagadānanda Paṇḍita in their house as long as possible .

Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 12.99

jagadānanda-mukhe caitanyakathāya sakalei ātmahārā

caitanyera marma-kathā śune tāṅra mukhe
āpanā pāsare sabe caitanya-kathā-sukhe

Translation: They heard confidential narrations about Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu from the mouth of Jagadānanda Paṇḍita and forgot themselves in the great happiness of hearing about the Lord.

Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 12.100

jagadānanda milite yāya yei bhakta-ghare
sei sei bhakta sukhe āpanā pāsare

Translation: Whenever Jagadānanda Paṇḍita went to visit a devotee’s house, that devotee immediately forgot himself in great happiness.

Jayapatākā Swami: This was the transcendental intoxication for the devotees to be absorbed in thoughts of Lord Caitanya, so they forgot everything else and they were super happy.

Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, 12.101

jagadānandera guṇāvalī :—

caitanyera prema-pātra jagadānanda dhanya
yāre mile sei māne,—‘pāiluṅ caitanya’

Translation: All glories to Jagadānanda Paṇḍita! He is so favored by Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu that anyone who meets him thinks, “Now I have gotten the association of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu directly.”

Jayapatākā Swami: So, the association of Jagadānanda was so wonderful that devotees were feeling that they had the opportunity to associate with Lord Caitanya by hearing these topics.

This is the great result of vaiṣṇava-saṅga.
