mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
paramānandaṁ mādhavaṁ śrī caitanya iśvaram

Hariḥ oṁ tat sat!

Jayapatākā Swami: I am very happy to have you online and it is a great opportunity for me to meet all of you. You are very dear to me. We see that many devotees from Khasadeśa are very active in book sponsoring, donations. We are very grateful for all your participation. So, we were having the Caitanya-līlā class at 6.30 pm Indian time. That would be about 9 am I think Chinese time? Depends on where you are.

So, we have been seeing how Kṛṣṇa has come as Lord Caitanya. Took the color and mood of Rādhārāṇī. Now He is giving mercy out freely, and when the Chand Kazi had stopped His kīrtana, He had a huge saṅkīrtana in retaliation. Millions of devotees were present. And four parties were there – one was led by Advaita Gosāñī, one was led by Haridāsa Ṭhākura, one was led by Śrīvāsa Ṭhākura, and the fourth had Lord Caitanya, Lord Nityānanda and Gadādhara Paṇḍita. This kīrtana was something truly spectacular! The sound went all over the universe and beyond. It could even be heard in Vaikuṇṭha and they were amazed how the Supreme Lord was chanting and dancing. The residents from the celestial planets, they came down to watch. Indradeva, Vāyudeva, Agnideva, different devas, demigods, they came down. When they saw Lord Caitanya crying, dancing, they fainted! When they became conscious, they took human form and joined the kīrtana. Apsarās were raining flowers from the heavens. The road was covered with flower petals. Every house was decorated with banana plants and full water pots. How this happened, no one knew. Ladies were making divine sounds of ulu-dhvani. The writer Vṛndāvana dāsa Ṭhākura said it would take a hundred thousand years to try to explain how wonderful was the sound the ladies were making! Literally, the whole universe was flooded with the saṅkīrtana sound. Even the atheists, the pāṣaṇḍīs, when they saw the kīrtana, they were swept away in ecstasy, they started dancing and rolling on the ground!

The Chand Kazi thought this is some Hindu wedding. He sent his guards to see what was the disturbance. When they saw millions of people chanting and dancing, carrying torches, they threw off their turbans and they began to raise their hands and chant! Just so they would not be recognized. Actually, the people were carrying oil in one hand and flaming torch in the other hand. It is said they were clapping their hands and playing musical instruments. How did they do that? Because the two hands had torch and oil. The author said that they manifested four arms like in Vaikuṇṭhaloka. With additional two arms they were clapping and playing instruments. But they were so ecstatic they did not notice that they had four arms! So, we have been experiencing these amazing pastimes of Lord Gaurāṅga! How by His mercy the whole world can flood with the chanting of the holy name.

I thank you very much for participating in the saṅkīrtana movement. Actually, the purpose of human life is to understand how we are actually the eternal spirit soul. That the purpose of life is not simply experiencing sensual existence. But to realize a higher purpose of life. So while we have senses, naturally the senses will need a certain amount of pleasure to be comfortable. But the goal of life is not unrestricted sense gratification. The goal of life is to have pure love for Kṛṣṇa. Everyone has a chance to achieve that. I am very happy that you are all candidates for Lord Caitanya’s mercy! And we hope that you can achieve His mercy in this lifetime!

In a short time, the Puruṣottama month will come. That time you can worship the picture or Deity of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa. Offer a ghee lamp every day. And this way you can observe the Puruṣottama month with great respect. In the karma-kāṇḍa, you do good karma, you go to the heavenly planets. But by observing the Puruṣottama month you go to Goloka Vṛndāvana. Where there is no birth, no death, no old age or disease. Then while you are living the remainder of your life, that will be very peaceful and happy! Thank you very much for chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa and reading the books of Śrīla Prabhupāda!
