Nama Om…

Hari Haraya Naama Krishna Yadavaya Namaha Gopal Govinda Ram Sri Madhusudhan

Mukham karoti vaachalam…

(Transmission started abruptly.)

Sometimes He laughed, sometimes He cried, sometimes He fell unconscious to the ground. Seeing Vishnupriya, sometimes He rushed forward as if to hit someone.  This ends the 46th chapter of Krishna Caitanya, the Supreme Personality of Godhead as a Devotee, in the matter of “Vishwambhar decides to manifest Himself to mitigate the devotees’ distress.”

So since this is the end of the chapter, we will have the questions and answers now.

So the names of devotees attending the class were read by the repeater.

(We lost sound at this point for more than 5 minutes)

Question: Shuvra Dev Babu: I have seen some spiritual communities of India chant the Maha mantra Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare, Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare. Where Hare Rama is the starting verse and Hare Krishna is the ending verse. Could you please explain the reason of chanting the Maha Mantra differently in different sampradayas. Which one is authentic based on the scripture?

Guru maharaj:  See how many hearts are there (gesturing to the online devotees on Facebook messages!!) The Hare Krishna mantra is given in two scriptures. At least two that I know. One is in the Kali Santarana Upanishad which says Hare Rama first and one is in the Adi Purana which gives Hare Krishna first. So there is a smaartha rule that unless one is a brahmana, he should not chant the mantra of the Upanishads. For that reason, somehow - that is an external reason. Otherwise Lord Caitanya liked Hare Krishna first. Hare Krishna first, anybody can chant. But someone may protest if you chant Hare Rama, that are you a brahmana? So we chant Hare Krishna first. But that is the way Lord Caitanya liked it, and that is the reason why we do that.

Question: Vijaya Radha devi dasi: How can we obtain perfection when our service is to dress the deities at the temple? How to fully please Krishna with this service?

Guru maharaj: As with any other service, try to do it as best as you can for pleasing Krishna. So if you pray to Radharani to have Her take over your senses so that you can do nice service to Them, and by Their mercy, you should be able to do nice service.

Question: Vanavihari Campakalata devi dasi: How can I distinguish between material sentiment and spiritual sentiment? How can I develop real spiritual sentiment?

Guru maharaj: Material sentiment is material! It is always some material thing. That this persona has appreciated me, said that I am the greatest pujari. Yes, I wanted that people should recognize that I am the greatest devotee! No one is as good as me, I am the greatest pujari! So that is an example of a material sentiment. And when someone, he or she, appreciates the sublime qualities of Krishna, His devotees or guru, and because of that they are emotionally inspired, that is like spiritual sentiment.

Guru maharaj comments – All those hearts, so many hearts, red heart, yellow heart, green heart, purple heart!! – (on line devotees sending messages ). Thank you for giving me your hearts! Which one is yours? Ha!
