Nama Om…

Mukham karoti vaachalam…

So today we will continue with the compilation reading of the Krishna Caitanya book. We are happy to see so many devotees. We also welcome HH Bhakti Nityananda Swami. Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare! Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare! So today we had the physiotherapy in the morning and we had Punjabi paneer parathas in breakfast. Then I attended the physiotherapy. Tomorrow there is no physical therapy but there is an international meeting on the internet on the TOVP exhibitions. Today we answered some of the emails. But there are still some pending. I am very happy to see all the devotees here. Now we will continue with the reading.

The disciples asked, oh Pandit, please give proper explanation, which is logical and appropriate. Lord Vishwambhar replied, every moment, remember Sri Krishna. Haribol!

Please worship Krishna. I am telling you about His worship, worship of Lord Krishna. Which is the purport of the beginning, middle and end of all the Vedas, all Vedic literatures. So um naaya is used to describe many things.  The shaastra or scriptures that instruct one about the supremacy of the Lord Vishnu, are called um naaya. The scriptures which are always discussed by great sages who have realized the Supreme Brahman, are called um naaya and the shaastra or scriptures that instruct human beings about the Supreme principles, so that they may attain the goal of life, are called um naaya. So um naaya is used in all these ways. In the Srimad Bhagavatam 10th canto 47th chap 33 verse, the purport of the word sum um naaya is found in the Srimad Bhagavatam. Another meaning is that Vedic knowledge which is received through the guru parampara or disciplic succession. So there are many quotes from Srimad Bhagavatam which explain how Krishna is the Supreme and how everything comes from Him. So there are things which we do which produce good karma, and the section of that is called karma kanda. Ritualistic ceremonies which produce good karma are called karma kanda. And the formulae for worshipping the Supreme Lord are found in the upaasana kanda or the worship process. So Krishna is explaining how He is the ultimate goal of all the Vedas but that His illusory energy ultimately negates Krishna’s Absolute position and engages the conditioned souls in serving the material nature for their own satisfaction. So in the Hari Vamsa it is stated throughout the Vedas, Ramayana, the Puranas, Mahabharata, from beginning to end only the glories of the Supreme Lord Hari are sung.

Hearing the Lord’s explanation, some of the students began to laugh. They said, now we understand that maybe the life air is affected and that is the cause of His condition.

His students or disciples asked, where did You get this explanation? The Lord replied, this is the verdict of all Vedic scriptures. So the students thought that the Lord was giving a strange explanation. But the Lord answered, I have explained according to the conclusions and consistency of the shaastras.

The Lord said, if you cannot understand Me now, in the afternoon, I will explain to you in detail.

Also the Lord said, I will also go and sit in a solitary place and look at My books. So let us meet together in the afternoon.

Hearing the explanation of the Lord, all His disciples, or the students, in a happy mood, bound their books and left.

All the disciples went to the place of Gangadas Pandit who was the Sanskrit teacher of Lord Caitanya, of Nimai, and they explained everything that Nimai had explained to them.

Now in every explanation of Nimai Pandit He explains Krishna as the meaning of every word.

Since the Lord had returned from Gaya to His house, He doesn’t mention anything but Krishna in His explanations.

He always chants the name of Krishna and His hairs on His body are standing on end. Sometimes He laughs, sometimes He shouts loudly, in this way He manifests many different moods.

Every word of Lord Vishwambhar or Nimai Pandit, He explains the verbal root of every word and explains Krishna through grammatical rules, as He is sitting down giving His lessons. So through the process of Sanskrit grammar, He found the grammatical derivation extended to its logical limit. Sri Gaurangadev, He brought one to understand the verbal root of the original sound of every word with the sutras by generating each word base and inflections in such a way as to explain them all as referring to Krishna.

So we are not able to understand His present characteristic, what shall we do? Please tell us, oh great Pandit!

The Crest Jewel of the brahmanas, Gangadas Vipra or Gangadas Pandit hearing the students’ explanation, he burst into laughter.

So Gangadas Pandit said, go home now, everyone go home. And return soon. Today I will go and instruct Nimai Pandit in the afternoon.

Then He will teach you properly. You may come in the afternoon today, in association with Him.

The students went to their homes very happily and along with Vishwambhar they came to the house of Gangadas Pandit. This is the end of the chapter.
