20230528 Question And Answer Session

The following is a Question & Answer Session given by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on May 28th, 2023 in Dallas, Texas, USA.

Indradyumna Swami: We would like to thank Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja for coming and gracing our Sādhu-saṅga Retreat 2023. It has always been my desire that he come but he is such an active preacher! All over the world! He could not make it. But now he has, it was a wonderful class. And we feel very blessed, and Mahārāja, we would like to invite you back every year because we plan to have 2024, 25, 26, 27, the Sādhu-saṅga Retreat! Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja kī jaya! Śrīla Prabhupāda kī jaya! Sādhu-saṅga Retreat kī jaya! Nitāi Gaura premānande!

Śacīnandana Swami: Hare Kṛṣṇa, please every one just stay... The difficulty is like this, we have now our Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja amongst us. Obviously, we would have liked to have a question-and-answer session so that there is some communication between the devotees, but there is also this cruel entity called time. And we want you to, what do we do now? I am perplexed. Well, Mahārāja, I had one question, while the lecture was going on, may I ask this question? "How are you?"

Jayapatākā Swami: Ha! Ha! I am very happy to be in Kṛṣṇa consciousness by the mercy of Śrīla Prabhupāda! Physically I am somewhat of a wreck! Wheelchair bound, cannot speak properly, had a liver and kidney transplant, a stroke! Now, I am doing some therapy for skin cancer, but I am very happy! (laughter) Especially with this nice association! Hare Kṛṣṇa! So, I guess you have to quickly go and take your prasāda!

Śacīnandana Swami: Thank you very much Mahārāja, it is such a good example of Kṛṣṇa consciousness can empower a devotee to overcome material obstacles. Thank you very, very much for coming and leading us with this important example that when you are Kṛṣṇa conscious or trying to be Kṛṣṇa conscious, one can actually overcome material obstacles. We would like to have more of an exchange now happening but the thing is like this that you go and take prasāda now and have maximum amount of chanting going on and we start here on the stage at 9 AM. Please come back in big numbers. Let us make this Sunday, a wonderful day in Sādhu-saṅga, we need your full participation as much as possible.
