20221024 Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's lotus footprints Installation Ceremony Address

The following is an address given by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on October 24th,2022 at Rādhā Kuṇḍa,Vṛndāvana, India.

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
paramānandaṁ mādhavaṁ śrī caitanya iśvaram

Hariḥ oṁ tat sat!

Jayapatākā Swami: How many of you here know Bengali here?

How many know Hindi?

How many only know English?

First, I would like to offer my respects to Keśava dāsa Bābājī Mahārāja who is here and all the bābājīs or goswamis who are present.

All the swamis and brahmacārīs who are present and all the Vaiṣṇavas.

We are installing the lotus footprints of Lord Caitanya.

Actually, when Lord Caitanya came to Vṛndāvana, the Rādhā-kuṇḍa and Śyāma-kuṇḍa were hidden.

So, there was a small indentation in the paddy fields, and He took a ‘loṭa’ and He was bathing.

All the villagers were wondering why is this sannyāsī bathing in the paddy field.

But He revealed the location of Śyāma-kuṇḍa and Rādhā-kuṇḍa.

Later, He sent the six Gosvāmīs – Rūpa, Sanātana, Bhaṭṭa Raghunātha, Dāsa Raghunātha, Gopāla Bhaṭṭa and Jīva Gosvāmī, and He asked them to discover all the places in Vraja.

So, this way all the hidden places of pilgrimage in Vṛndāvana were discovered.

We are all indebted to Lord Caitanya, the six Gosvāmīs and the other associates of Lord Caitanya. 

Now we see all these holy places have developed, like Rādhā-kuṇḍa, Śyāma-kuṇḍa, Govardhana, all these holy places.

So we want to place His lotus feet of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu in the places Lord Caitanya He went.

By Lord Caitanya’s mercy, one can get love of Kṛṣṇa very easily.

Lord Caitanya is Kṛṣṇa with the heart and color of Rādhārāṇī.

So we have the best of both. 

So we want that the lotus footprints of Lord Caitanya always be in the hearts of all the devotees, and always remember how Lord Caitanya and His associates discovered the various pastime places of Lord Kṛṣṇa in Vraja.

Gaurāṅga! We are very indebted to all the devotees who stay here and do service.

I thank them again for their great service in getting the lotus footprints of Lord Caitanya placed here.

Hare Kṛṣṇa!

Here the various saṁskāras are going on and afterwards there will be a baiṭhak, a seat of Lord Caitanya, where His lotus footprints will be placed.

And another lotus footprints of Lord Caitanya will be placed at the place where Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa got married in Bhāṇḍīravana.
