20221022 Talk at Śrī Rūpa Gosvāmī Samādhi Mandir in Śrī Śrī Rādhā Dāmodara Temple

The following is a Śrī Śrī Rādhā Dāmodara Darśana attended by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on October 22nd,2022 in Vṛndāvana, India, India.

Jayapatākā Swami: They have fixed this place up a lot, this is the bhajana-kuṭīra of Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī. I am blessed to be here. Śrīla Prabhupāda, he got his inspiration here to travel to the West. Of course, he was following the order of his spiritual master, but he said much about the inspiration that Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī gave him. So, Rādhā Dāmodara temple is also the temple of Jīva Gosvāmī. And there are many samādhis here like Kṛṣṇadāsa Kavirāja Gosvāmī, Bhūgarbha Gosvāmī and others. I was here many years ago, at that time there were no covers here and the monkeys were everywhere!

Behind me, they are going to start worshiping Pañca-tattva! And below Their feet are seated the six Gosvāmīs. They have some presence of Śrīla Prabhupāda [audio break] teaching the Nectar of Devotion. We are very grateful to the priests here who are having such a vision of Lord Caitanya. Braja Vilāsa dāsa told me how many of these priests are his friends and they have visited Māyāpur. I mean to say the sevaites. Jīva Gosvāmī, he gave the most detailed presentation of the philosophy. He gave the Ṣaṭ-sandarbha, the six-sandarbhas. Śrīla Prabhupāda said if anyone studies the six-sandarbhas, they will certainly be convinced of the Vaiṣṇava philosophy. So Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī, he spent a lot of time to prepare himself to serve Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī. He studied in the Banaras Hindu University and got first class Sanskrit knowledge. He used that in devotional service. This is a good instruction, how we should use our education in the service of Kṛṣṇa. Here we can pray for the blessing of Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī, Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī, the six Gosvāmīs to spread Lord Caitanya’s message everywhere. I am very happy to see so many devotees here.
