8 Nov 2021|English|Prabhupāda Kathā|Śrī Māyāpur, India

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam

So today is the sacred anniversary of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s tirobhāva. And he said that when he leaves there is nothing to be sad about. Because he left his books behind him. His teachings are in his books. So in this way, people can still associate with Śrīla Prabhupāda. In the material world, Śrīla Prabhupāda was concerned that the devotees should not become conditioned. If we think of Kṛṣṇa, if we do things for Kṛṣṇa, then husband and wife, their life will become purified. Śrīla Prabhupāda, he was very kind to his men disciples, his lady disciples. He wanted everyone to develop their Kṛṣṇa consciousness. He had a vision to expand the teachings of Lord Kṛṣṇa. Kurukṣetra, near to Ambala, he wanted some monument to glorify the Gītā. In Māyāpur, he wanted the Temple of Vedic Planetarium to be developed, to satisfy our previous ācāryas. Lord Caitanya had predicted that His name, would be sung in every town and village of the world, so Śrīla Prabhupāda wanted to do this. And he knew that India was the center of the world, and then he went to spread the teachings of Bhagavad-gītā and Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam all over the world, from India. He told the people in America, you are living far, far away in a remote area, away from Vṛndāvana and Māyāpur. The Americans thinks they are the center of the world. But Śrīla Prabhupāda said them that you are living in a remote part of the world! So, like that Śrīla Prabhupāda was a real revolutionary. When he went to Australia, they said you are coming from a poor country, we are a rich country, what have you come to take from us? Śrīla Prabhupāda said, “I have come to save you from a cats and dogs life!” He was a bold preacher! And on this sacred day of his disappearance, we should be dedicated to following his teachings. Whether man or woman, everyone should be very dedicated to following his teachings. Thank you very much for allowing me to speak to you in this holy land of Vṛndāvana. Hare Kṛṣṇa!
