20211014 Śrīla Prabhupāda is Coming – Sampradāya Sammelan Address

oṁ ajñāna-timirāndhasya
jñānāñjana-śalākayā
cakṣur unmīlitaṁ yena
tasmai śrī-gurave namaḥ

nāma oṁ viṣṇu-pādāya kṛṣṇa-preṣṭhāya bhū-tale
śrīmate bhaktivedānta-svāmin iti nāmine
namas te sārasvate deve gaura-vāṇī-pracāriṇe
nirviśeṣa-śūnyavādi-pāścātya-deśa-tāriṇe

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
hariḥ oṁ tat sat

Jayapatākā Swami:

sampradāya-vihīna ye mantras te niṣphala mataḥ

ataḥ kalau bhaviṣyanti catvaraḥ samprādayinaḥ

śrī-brahmā-rudra-sanakaḥ vaiṣṇavaḥ kṣiti-pavanaḥ catvaras te
kalau bhāvya hy utkale puruṣottamatataḥ kalau bhaviṣyanti

I would like to thank the different Vaisanva-sampradāya leaders for speaking, especially the Padma Purāṇa states: (Quote) So any mantra received that is not received from any of these four sampradāya – Śrī-sampradāya, Brahmā-sampradāya, Kumāra-sampradāya, Rudra-sampradāya, that means the Rāmānuja-sampradāya, Madhvācārya-sampradāya, Nimbārka-sampradāya and Vallabhācārya-sampradāya. So these four sampradāyas have been brought together on this occasion. Lord Caitanya said that He would take two points from each sampradāya. From the Madhva He took the ideology of defeating the Māyāvadī impersonal kevala-advaita philosophy, and also that the mūrti of Kṛṣṇa was eternal. From the Rāmānuja-sampradāya, He would accept two parts – the concept of bhakti unpolluted by karma or jñāna, and the sentiment of exclusive dependence on Viṣṇu or Kṛṣṇa. From Nimbārka Ācārya, He accepted two parts – taking shelter of Rādhārāṇī with Kṛṣṇa and the highest theme of Gopī-bhāva.

So we are in the Brahmā-Madhva-Gauḍīya-sampradāya. That means from Brahmā came Nārada, Vyāsa and Madhva. So down the line down from Madhva until Jaya Tīrtha and Mādhavendra Purī. Mādhavendra Purī, Īśvara Purī and Lord Caitanya. So each sampradāya has a particular tīkā on the Brahmā-sūtra. viśiṣṭa-advaita, śuddha-advaita, dvaita-advaita and śuddha-advaita. Lord Caitanya’s was acintya-bheda-abheda-tattva. So like this, they have appreciated how difficult it is to spreading Vaiṣṇavism, throughout the world. And that was done by His Divine Grace Abhay Caraṇa Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda. And they have appreciated how by hearing the holy mantra of Hare Kṛṣṇa and Hare Rāma in all parts of the world, Lord Caitanya had predicted that His holy name will be chanted I every town and village of the world. Āṇḍāl in the Śrī-sampradāya, she was chanting the holy names. I think all the sampradāyas, one way or another. chant the Harināma. So having them all together and hearing their nice explanations was very auspicious. We heard from Śrī Ramaṇa Dīkṣitlu Gāru, from Chinna Jeeyar Swami, from Prof. Vasudhā Nārāyaṇan. From Rudra-sampradāya we heard Śrī Dvārakeśa Lālājī Mahārāja and His Holiness Vrajarājajī Mahārāja. From Nimbārka-sampradāya we heard from Śyāma Śaraṇa devajī Mahārāja and from Dr. Brahmacārī Śaraṇa. From Madhva-sampradāya we hear Pūjyaṛṣi Viśvapriya Tīrtha Swami, who is the present Periyaru Swami of the Adayāru Maṭha. And we also heard from the Pūjyaśrī Śrī Viśva Prasannna Tīrtha of the Pejāvara Maṭha. From Kṛṣṇa Abhiṣeka Ghosh of the Institute of Vaiṣṇava Studies. And he was from our Brahma-Madhva-Gauḍīya-sampradāya. So we are very grateful that we could hear from all these people, all these very great Vaiṣṇavas, Vaiṣṇavī, and we thank our Gaurāṅga dāsa for his on seeing this. I will hand it now over to His Holiness Gopāla Kṛṣṇa Goswami. Hare Krsna!
