śrīmate bhaktivedānta-svāmin iti nāmine

namas te sārasvate deve gaura-vāṇī-pracāriṇe

I am very happy to be here in Avatārī Deśa. Also, to see the family of Bahu Rūpa, his children and grandchildren. This is a special activity that the gṛhasthas can do—make Kṛṣṇa conscious devotees—so we pray that your children may be Kṛṣṇa conscious, healthy, long-live, su-putras.

So today is a very auspicious day, one aspect is Mokṣda Ekādaśī, which is observed in South India especially as Vaikuṇṭha Ekādaśī. Also, the day that was Bhagavad-gītā spoken. We, here in Māyāpur, we did the yajña, also in Kurukṣetra they celebrated the “World Gītā Day” and they did a yajña there for all the people who donated Gītās, who distributed Gītās. So like this today is a very special day. I saw in South India, they were doing the Gītā-yajña, offering āhūtis to the Gītā. At the same time, they were also doing the Vaikuṇṭha Ekādaśī. So, I visited many temples and saw how they are observing the sacred day. Now I am happy visiting all of you on this sacred day. And I would like to say how much we are grateful His Divine Grace Abhaya Caraṇāravinda Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda that he took the sacrifice to spread Kṛṣṇa consciousness all over the world. He could have stayed in Vṛndāvana and get (achieve) his personal mokṣa. But being a goṣṭhyānandī, he went preaching in the Western world. He went by a cargo ship. He had no money, seven dollars, and you know, how long this seven dollars will last, in the Middle East, and think about that in US, it is half that time. You can’t even survive one day. But he went with a box of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, he was distributing the harināma-saṅkīrtana. Now partially we repay that debt, we can try to distribute his books, especially Bhagavad-gītā. So I thank all the devotees for their practicing Kṛṣṇa consciousness, for their distributing Prabhupāda’s books; for their studying the teachings of Śrīla Prabhupāda. And he gave different services and worship to Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa. Thank you very much.
