28 Dec 2020|Duration: 00:12:46|English|Zoom Sessions|Transcription|Śrī Māyāpur, India

The following is a Zoom session with the Aruppukoṭṭai devotees by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on December 28th 2020, in Śrīdhāma Māyāpur, India.

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
param
ānanda-mādhavam śrī caitanya īśvaram
Harihi oṁ tat sat

For six years Lord Caitanya went through out South India. And maybe, He went to your place. By the mercy of Lord Caitanya, one easily can get the love of Kṛṣṇa. He stayed every day in different house. The householder will bath His feet and give Him prasāda. He would sit down and speak to the family, speak to the neighbors and villagers, so then He told them yāre dekha, tāre kaha ‘kṛṣṇa’-upadeśa – whoever you see, you tell them lessons of Lord Kṛṣṇa. And in this way, He ordered everybody be a guru and distribute the message of Kṛṣṇa. The name of Kṛṣṇa and Kṛṣṇa are non-different.

So, the message of Lord Caitanya was that everybody should chant the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra. So in that way He was giving out freely, without considering who is qualified, who are not, giving out pure love of Kṛṣṇa. Sometimes He is known as the prema-avatāra, because He who give out love for Kṛṣṇa freely. So we hope that all of you will get the mercy of Lord Caitanya. By His mercy one can get the mercy of Lord Jagannātha or get the mercy of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa. He didn’t present Himself as Kṛṣṇa. Because Kṛṣṇa only present Himself as a Supreme Personality of Godhead in the three yugas – Satya, Tretā and Dvāpara. But He gave, He is Kṛṣṇa came in disguise as a hidden or covered avatāra. He came to distribute the yuga-dharma. Yuga-dharma is especially chanting the names of Hari.

So, we are very happy that you are chanting the names of Kṛṣṇa. We saw your Ratha-yātrā, how you are taking Lord Jagannātha and chanting the names of Kṛṣṇa. All the devas are servitors of the Lord. And we like to pay our respects, and respect them as greater devotees, but we should see that no one is equal or greater than Kṛṣṇa. He is worshipped by all the devas, and He gives His mercy to everybody. Avatāra of Lord Śiva was accompanying Him – Advaita Gosāñi is the combined form of Sadāśiva and Mahā-Viṣṇu.

So, in this Age of Kali, we think we are this body. And Lord Caitanya taught us, we are the eternal spirit souls. This is the lesson of the Bhagavad-gītā. So, we hope that all of you can chant Hare Kṛṣṇa and achieve pure Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Kṛṣṇe ratir astu! May you have love of Kṛṣṇa. Normally, in this material world, since we identify with the body, body is sometime happy, and sometime distressed. I saw one disciple by Zoom in UK, that disciple had the new strain of Covid. She was in great pain. I pray that all the devotees may get recover quickly. We are asking everybody to be very careful. Sametime, chant that holy name. We heard that many people are doing online programs. We went to the online of the Bengaluru, they had 800 people registered, so during this Pandemic it is possible to increase the preaching by internet. People are looking for some solution. They are more open.

So we know that this material world is not the place we should stay permanently. At the end of life, we should go back to the spiritual world, and that is the goal of life to engage in this devotional service and go back to the Vaikuṇṭha loka. Few days, ago was Vaikuṇṭha Ekādaśī. That was the day when Bhagavad-gītā was spoken. If we read the Gītā we will definitely go to Vaikuṇṭha. So the Bhagavad-gītā is actually the secret doorway to Vaikuntha. So, anyway, chant Hare Kṛṣṇa and be happy. Hare Kṛṣṇa! I don’t want to speak too long because there is a limited time, and we have to visit all the house.
