mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam

Jayapatākā Swami: (In Bengali): Today is Bhādra Pūrṇimā. There is a special declaration in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam that whoever, today, places the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam on a golden throne and donates it to someone will go back home back to Godhead. Why is there so much appreciation and glorification of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam? This Bhāgavatam is complete in describing the pastimes of the Lord and His pure devotees. By studying this Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, the knowledge we get is something that we cannot get reading other scriptures. I hope that everyone will take this opportunity and acquire the Bhāgavatam, study it and donate it especially on this day. There is the opportunity if someone buys a Bhāgavatam and donates to the Nāma-haṭṭas, or Gītā Course groups or temples, they will get special benefit today! So, today is a special day and I hope everyone of you will grab this opportunity!
