Under the section: Return to Nīlācala

Murāri Gupta Kaḍaca, 4.15.2

Translation: When Advaita Ācārya, who is the plenary portion of Lord Śiva, saw Gaura-Nitāi coming, he and his men immediately rose and fell clasping Their lotus feet, overcome with love of God.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, Advaita Ācārya is Sadāśiva and Māha-Viṣṇu together.

Murāri Gupta Kaḍaca, 4.15.3

Translation: After Śrī Advaita bathed Their feet, in accord with the Vaiṣṇava precept, He ecstatically drank that foot wash and clasped Their feet upon His head. Then with the vigor of an intoxicated lion, He danced and waved His upper cloth in the air.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, Advaita Ācārya he was very ecstatic to receive Gaura Nitāi in his house and after bathing their feet and drinking that water he danced in ecstasy.

Murāri Gupta Kaḍaca, 4.15.4

Translation: In great jubilation, He embraced Them and prostrated Himself repeatedly on the ground before Them. Then, to Their loving delight, He offered Them elaborate worship as well as many fine foods beginning with rice.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, Advaita Ācārya received them with great affection and enthusiasm and afterwards he bowed down before them and offered luxurious prasāda.

Murāri Gupta Kaḍaca, 4.15.5

Translation: Thereafter those two Supreme Personalities, who had appeared as the gurus of all living entities, became immersed in the joy of saṅkīrtana in company with Advaita Ācārya and danced, surrounded by the assembled bhaktas.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, Lord Caitanya allowed Lord Nityānanda accompanied by Advaita Gosāi and celebrated the saṅkīrtana-yajña for twenty four hours non-stop.

Murāri Gupta Kaḍaca, 4.615.

Translation: Then the Ācārya suddenly went outside and swiftly brought Śrī Śacī Devī from Navadvīpa along with the devotees from that area.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, Advaita Ācārya could understand that devotees from Navadvīpa, Śacī mātā, were feeling great separation Lord Caitanya so he wanted to give the the association of Lord Caitanya.

Murāri Gupta Kaḍaca, 4.15.7

Translation: Gaura ate the four kinds of foodstuffs, sweet rice and so on that was cooked by her and the wives of the Vaiṣṇavas.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, Lord Caitanya by eating the four kinds of prasāda cooked by mother Śacī and other Vaiṣṇavīs, He gave unlimited bliss for all these Vaiṣṇavīs.

Haribol!

Murāri Gupta Kaḍaca, 4.15.8-9

Translation: Śrī Mādhava Purī is a blissful ocean of kṛṣṇa-premānanda. On His appearance day, the Dvādaśī of the bright fortnight in the month of Caitra, the Supreme Lord Advaita Ācārya eagerly fed the two prabhūs as well as the entire assembly of devotees.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, this festival is elaborately explained in Caitanya-bhāgavata, so here it is mentioned as the appearance day and somewhere it is mentioned as disappearance day but in any case it is in the honor of Śrī Mādhavendra Purī, Lord Caitanya declared that if someone takes prasāda here at this tithi, will get govinda-bhakti.

Murāri Gupta Kaḍaca, 4.15.10

Translation: At that holy festival, Advaitācārya felt heartfelt ānanda while eating mahā-prasāda in the company of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya and His beloved Nitāi.

Jayapatākā Swami: Still in Śāntipura there is place known as trī-prabhu-viśrāma-sthāna where the Prabhūs sat and had prasāda.

Murāri Gupta Kaḍaca, 4.14.11

Jayapatākā Swami: So, although Nimāi Gaurāṅga is the son of Śacī māta, Śacī mātā also accepted Lord Nityānanda as her son and gave both of them great affection.

Murāri Gupta Kaḍaca, 4.15.12

Translation: Thus the two brothers passed the day there being controlled (by Her affection) by Their mother and pleased her very much by Their sweet words.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, Lord Caitanya is Ajīta, He is unconquerable but He is conquered by the affection of His mother and His devotees.

Murāri Gupta Kaḍaca, 4.15.13

Translation: After charmingly pacifying the hearts of the Ācārya and the other bhaktas, especially Śrīvāsa Prabhu, They attempted to depart.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, Nitāi Gaura wanted to depart to Nīlācala, but let’s see what happens!

Murāri Gupta Kaḍaca, 4.15.14

Translation: Who indeed can describe the play of all those great souls? They seemed like the Vraja-vāsīs as Kṛṣṇa departed for Madhupurī.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, just like the gopīs of Vṛndāvana put themselves in front of the chariot of Akrūra, they tried to stop Kṛṣṇa from giving similarly the devotees in Śāntipura they did that.

Murāri Gupta Kaḍaca, 4.15.15

Translation: All those topmost Vaiṣṇavas remained standing there with their minds absorbed in Gaura and Nitāi and contemplated Their divine pastimes until they verily became of fully absorbed in ecstatic love of Their nature.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, we can understand that these devotees have actually achieved Kṛṣṇa consciousness, they are completely conscious of Lord Caitanya and Lord Nityānanda.

Murāri Gupta Kaḍaca, 4.15.16

Translation: It is to be known that those same two Persons, who had appeared formerly as Kṛṣṇa and Rāma,had come again as Gaura and Nitāi and the supremely great devotees who held Kṛṣṇa dearer than their life-breath, have in comparison similarly come as the associates of Gaura-Nitāi.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, the associates of Gaura-Nitāi were previously descrobed as associates of Kanai and Rāma.

Murāri Gupta Kaḍaca, 4.15.17

Translation: Then those two Lords of the universe, desiring the vision of Jagannātha, travelled on to the Lord’s eternal abode of Śrī Puruṣottama. As They travelled, the group of devotees in Their company rendered the two Prabhūs all service.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, Gaura-Nitāi is going to see Lord Jagannātha in Śrī Puruṣottama but all the devotees who accompanied them offered them service.

Caitanya Maṅgala, Śeṣa Khaṇḍa 3.3.58

punaḥ parabhāte prabhu calilā satvare
utkaṇṭhā bāḍhila jagannātha dekhibāre

Translation: Being extremely eager to see Lord Jagannātha, the next day Lord Caitanya hastened towards Nīlācala.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, Lord Caitanya early in the morning has set to Nīlācala.

Caitanya Maṅgala, Śeṣa Khaṇḍa 3.3.59

sabhāre kahilā prabhu—sabhe yāha ghara
nīlācale āchi āmi-kahila uttara

Translation: Lord Caitanya addressed everyone, “All of you go home. I’ll be staying in Nīlācala.”

Jayapatākā Swami: So, Lord Caitanya was asking all the devotees to return to their home and He went to stay in Jagannātha Purī.

Caitanya Maṅgala, Śeṣa Khaṇḍa 3.3.60

ye yāya tathāya jagannātha dekhibāre
tathāya āmāra dekhā haiba sabhāre

Translation: Whoever comes to see Lord Jagannātha there in Nīlācala, they will all see Me there in Nīlācala.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, Lord Caitanya was inviting everyone to come and see Jagannātha in Purī and there they would also see Him.

Caitanya Maṅgala, Śeṣa Khaṇḍa 3.3.61

e bola baliyā prabhu bole haribola
calilā ṭhākura—uṭhe kāndanera rola

Translation: After saying this, the Lord said, “Hari bol,” and departed. There arose an uproar of wailing.

Jayapatākā Swami: So, Lord Caitanya left the devotees were roaring in separation, they were crying because they were not having the association of Lord Caitanya and Lord Nityānanda.
