The following is the Q&A Session for the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam (1.10.33-35) class given by HH Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja on August 28th 2021 in Śrī Dhāma Māyāpur, India.

Question: What should be the consciousness and the mood of a preacher, a counsellor and temple authority?

Jayapatākā Swami: Have one focus – how to please Kṛṣṇa, how to please the spiritual master. Think how the candidates can be Kṛṣṇa conscious.

Sukamala Nityānanda dāsa, ISKCON Habibganj: Śrīla Prabhupāda flooded the whole world with Kṛṣṇa consciousness. And already many religious preachers have tried to do this. But none of them were able to be successful. What was the special character of this success that was working behind Śrīla Prabhupāda’s success? And how we can engage in Śrīla Prabhupāda’s service with success?

Jayapatākā Swami: Śrīla Prabhupāda was explaining what was the sign of his victory. He was always following the guru-paramparā. He used to follow the orders of his spiritual master exactly, practically letter by letter. So like that if we follow the order of Śrīla Prabhupāda and our gurudeva, then naturally we will have all this success. Last question.

Śrīguru Bhakti devī dāsī, Sydney, Australia: Guru Mahārāja, I am not able to understand the difference between life after life and even life after life.

Jayapatākā Swami: You see, life after life means taking birth in the material world. Even life after life means, we may go back to Godhead. But if we don’t go, we still want to serve Śrīla Prabhupāda. If we go to the spiritual world, then we will be naturally serving the Lord.
