Question in Bengali: Many times, the children do not get along with the parents and the parents suffer due to their children’s behavior. But the parents pardon the children. But when children give suffering to the parents is that a Vaiṣṇava aparādha?

Jayapatākā Swami: This question is not connected with the ślokas we read today. If the parents are Vaiṣṇavas, then there will be Vaiṣṇava aparādha. If they are not Vaiṣṇavas, then there not be Vaiṣṇava aparādha, but offence to the parents will happen. In this way if the parents they block your service to Kṛṣṇa, then Kṛṣṇa will protect you.

Question: We see the devotees of Gaurāṅga in Gaura-līlā were all nitya pārṣada of Kṛṣṇa. The king got so much mercy and the Lord had a sweet pastime with Him. Who was he in Kṛṣṇa-līlā?

Jayapatākā Swami: You have to read the Gaura-gaṇoddeśa-dīpikā to see who King Pratāparudra was in Kṛṣṇa-līlā. We don’t have that book on hand.

Trilokini Sakhi devī dāsī: In the beginning Lord Caitanya did not meet King Pratāparudra, but now we see He is embracing the king. Could you please explain the internal reason behind this pastime? Thank you for your mercy.

Jayapatākā Swami: In the Gaura-gaṇoddeśa-dīpikāit is mentioned that King Pratāparudra was king Indradyumna. So king Indradyumna got the mercy in Caitanya-līlā.
