If Lord Caitanya is with other sannyāsī then He may eat very minimal, to respect the sannyāsī rules. But Advaita Gosāi wanted Him to take at His full satisfaction, therefore He thought if He could come alone then He could take all the preparations without any kind of inhibitions.

Jayapatākā Swami: Meanwhile, Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu finished chanting His prescribed number of rounds and He decided to perform His mid-day duties.

Purport (by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura): The phrase saṅkhyā-nāma refers to chanting the holy names of the Lord a certain number of times, as opposed to chanting the holy names without counting. The word grahaṇa refers to chanting.

Jayapatākā Swami: Everyone has a certain number of rounds of japa that they do, Haridāsa Ṭhākura would chant 300,000 names a day but Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura disciples who were doing deity worship would chant 100,000 names a day which is 64 rounds. Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura's preachers as well as Bhaktivedanta Swami's disciples would chant 25,000 names or 16 rounds a day. Like this some minimum is chanted based on what the spiritual master has ordered.
