19920211 Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 11.5.31-32

The following is a class given by HH Jayapataka Swami on March 18th, 1992 in Sridham Mayapur. The class begins with a reading from the Srimad Bhagavatam, 11th canto chapter 5 text 31 and 32.

O King, in this way people in Dvāpara-yuga glorified the Lord of the universe. In Kali-yuga also people worship the Supreme Personality of Godhead by following various regulations of the revealed scriptures. Now kindly hear of this from me.

In the Age of Kali, intelligent persons perform congregational chanting to worship the incarnation of Godhead who constantly sings the names of Kṛṣṇa. Although His complexion is not blackish, He is Kṛṣṇa Himself. He is accompanied by His associates, servants, weapons and confidential companions.

 “This text is from Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (11.5.32). Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī has explained this verse in his commentary on the Bhāgavatam known as the Krama-sandarbha, wherein he says that Lord Kṛṣṇa also appears with a golden complexion. That golden Lord Kṛṣṇa is Lord Caitanya, who is worshiped by intelligent men in this age. That is confirmed in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam by Garga Muni, who said that although the child Kṛṣṇa was blackish, He also appears in three other colors — red, white and yellow. He exhibited His white and red complexions in the Satya and Tretā ages respectively. He did not exhibit the remaining color, yellow-gold, until He appeared as Lord Caitanya, who is known as Gaurahari.

“Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī explains that kṛṣṇa-varṇam means Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya. Kṛṣṇa-varṇam and Kṛṣṇa Caitanya are equivalent. The name Kṛṣṇa appears with both Lord Kṛṣṇa and Lord Caitanya Kṛṣṇa. Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, but He always engages in describing Kṛṣṇa and thus enjoying transcendental bliss by chanting and remembering His name and form. Lord Kṛṣṇa Himself appears as Lord Caitanya to preach the highest gospel. Varṇayati means ‘utters’ or ‘describes.’ Lord Caitanya always chants the holy name of Kṛṣṇa and describes it also, and because He is Kṛṣṇa Himself, whoever meets Him will automatically chant the holy name of Kṛṣṇa and later describe it to others. He injects one with transcendental Kṛṣṇa consciousness, which merges the chanter in transcendental bliss. In all respects, therefore, He appears before everyone as Kṛṣṇa, either by personality or by sound. Simply by seeing Lord Caitanya one at once remembers Lord Kṛṣṇa. One may therefore accept Him as viṣṇu-tattva. In other words, Lord Caitanya is Lord Kṛṣṇa Himself.

“Sāṅgopāṅgāstra-pārṣadam further indicates that Lord Caitanya is Lord Kṛṣṇa. His body is always decorated with ornaments of sandalwood and with sandalwood paste. By His superexcellent beauty He subdues all the people of the age. In other descents the Lord sometimes used weapons to defeat the demoniac, but in this age the Lord subdues them with His all-attractive figure as Caitanya Mahāprabhu. Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī explains that His beauty is His astra, or weapon, to subdue the demons. Because He is all-attractive, it is to be understood that all the demigods lived with Him as His companions. His acts were uncommon and His associates wonderful. When He propagated the saṅkīrtana movement, He attracted many great scholars and ācāryas, especially in Bengal and Orissa. Lord Caitanya is always accompanied by His best associates like Lord Nityānanda, Advaita, Gadādhara and Śrīvāsa.

“Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī cites a verse from the Vedic literature that says that there is no necessity of performing sacrificial demonstrations or ceremonial functions. He comments that instead of engaging in such external, pompous exhibitions, all people, regardless of caste, color or creed, can assemble together and chant Hare Kṛṣṇa to worship Lord Caitanya. Kṛṣṇa-varṇaṁ tviṣākṛṣṇam indicates that prominence should be given to the name of Kṛṣṇa. Lord Caitanya taught Kṛṣṇa consciousness and chanted the name of Kṛṣṇa. Therefore, to worship Lord Caitanya, everyone should together chant the mahā-mantra — Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare/ Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare. To propagate worship in churches, temples or mosques is not possible because people have lost interest in that. But anywhere and everywhere, people can chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. Thus worshiping Lord Caitanya, they can perform the highest activity and fulfill the highest religious purpose of satisfying the Supreme Lord.

“Śrīla Sārvabhauma Bhaṭṭācārya, a famous disciple of Lord Caitanya, said: ‘The principle of transcendental devotional service having been lost, Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya has appeared to deliver again the process of devotion. He is so kind that He is distributing love of Kṛṣṇa. Everyone should be attracted more and more to His lotus feet, as humming bees are attracted to a lotus flower.’”

This ends the Bhaktivedanta Swami translation, purport. Srimad Bhagavatam 11.5.31 & 32 which is Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Ādi-līlā, Chapter Three, verse 51& 52.

So in this age of Kali, the fallen souls have got the greatest benediction. Normally in a thousand yugas of the veda kala, the age of Kali is the fourth. The age of Kali is considered the most fallen. Only one-fourth of the religion is still remaining in  three- fourth is lost. Even Sukadeva Goswami said that the defects of the age of Kali are like an ocean. kaler doṣa-nidhe rājannasti hy eko mahān guṇaḥ. However the sight of this Kali Yuga being most despicable form of age by material calculation because the more has come into this age of Kali. Therefore the age has actually become the topmost from all the ages. This age has become a special benediction. It's also mentioned by Sukadeva Goswami to Parikshit Maharaj - kaler doṣa-nidhe rājann asti hy eko mahān guṇaḥ. Although, this ancient Kali is filled with defects, a ocean of defects, it has one good quality, which is so wonderful that it out weighs all other defects asti hy eko mahān guṇaḥ kīrtanād eva kṛṣṇasya i.e. chanting congregationally the holy names of Lord Krishna. mukta-saṅgaḥ paraṁ vrajet  By doing that one is liberated from the conditioning of this material world and descend back home back to Godhead, back to the spiritual sky. Nitai Gaur premanande Hari haribol ( devotees saying Hari haribol ).

That's the vey special facility of this age. Although this age is otherwise so fallen. Because of the mercy of Lord Chaitanya, it is the best of the ages. Specially here in this age we can get what we can never get in other ages. The maha mantra although existed in previous ages, but the people would chant the name of Krishna along with offences. That chanting will not have any affect for giving pure love for  Godhead. That chanting will take a long time either millions of years. But by the mercy of Lord Chaitanya, one is able to chant the holy name of Krishna without offense and thus one can easily get love for Krishna. So this Sankirtan movement of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is actually a benediction route. It's giving out the mercy otherwise people would not be. That's why Lord Chaitanya's mood, the mood here in Navadvip is called Audarya.Simply benevolent, simply giving out the mercy. In Vrindavan, the mood is madhurya. For the sweet sweet mood of madhurya rasa. In Jagannath Puri, the mood is aishwarya or opulence. So you have these 3 dhams of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu worshipped - madhurya, aishwarya and audarya. So today we are sitting in audarya dham, Navadvip, Mayapur dham.

Guess what the Lord's mood is? Simply giving out the mercy. It is in Kali, that is really the most important thing because if you don't get the mercy, how can we access madhurya or aishwarya? They are beyond our reach. But by the audarya, unlimited mercy of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, we can easily grasp the lotus feet of RadhaMadhav. We can get the mercy of Jagannath. So this holy dham of Navadvip, the pastimes of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu are in this mood of audarya. Of course Lord Chaitanya also was relishing the madhurya rasa. He was relishing the separation of the Lord. So simultaneously within Chaitanya Mahaprabhu combined the various aspects.  So the special feature is audarya, the mercy of the Lord. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu has also been described maha vadanyaya or 15:56. Someone who is so merciful that he just gives out the mercy and this is something that needs to be properly understood. Just like 16:31Trivikram Bhagavatam, he became so much, He covered the whole universe in 3 steps. Just like Giri Govardhan lifted up Govardhan hill with His little hand finger. Just like Varaha dev lifted up the earth from the fallen position of the bottom of the universe. Every Avatar has got some special great quality which is inconceivable, which is unlimited, which is wonderful.

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is coming in a human like form, coming as a brahmin pandit, for what is His extraordinary pastimes. That pastime is a little subtle. Actually it is the greatest gift of all. The greatest miracle of all. He is giving out this mercy of love of Krishna. Love of Krishna, Varaha dev didn't give,  Matsya didn't give, Narasimha dev didn't give, Vamana dev didn't give to the fallen souls or why Krishna even didn't give it freely to everyone. But Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, He gets out this mercy all over in proportions. That is why Lord Chaitanya's worship is essential in this age of Kali.

Krishndas Kaviraj, He considered that those who didn't worship Lord Chaitanya, those who didn't bow down to Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, even as a sanyasi, actually they were demons. They were very offensive. They are hopeless cases. This sounds like very harsh words. Lord Chaitanya is all merciful. And His devotee is saying if you don't worship Him, you are demon. So it sounds like very harsh statement. Just like Jarasandha, he also was worshipping Vishnu. But he refused to respect Krishna. So although he was worshipping Vishnu, his worship was in order to get strength to kill Krishna. So this is type of ignorance, one doesn't know that Vishnu and Krishna is the same. This is demoniac. If someone inspite of so much scriptural evidence available that they refuse to see that Krishna and Chaitanya are one and the same person in different forms and different pastimes. And it's said one who is against Lord Chaitanya, what is the difference between Him and Jarasandha who was against Krishna and worshipping Vishnu. So actually what Krishnadas Kaviraj was saying was not harsh at all. He was just speaking the fact. This is a reality that we don't respect Lord Chaitanya.

 It's our deficiency, our defect and we don't mistake Lord Chaitanya, how do we get the mercy of Krishna in this age of Kali. In age of Kali, people are more sinful, more offensive, more fallen. So without the mercy of the Lord, how is it possible to get the mercy of Krishna? So this is very good for us to really 20:03 our consciousness that we have to have the mercy of Lord Chaitanya. There is no other way. No other way. 20:10. But realistically, there is no other way. Just like today, the world, AIDS epidemic is the biggest concern on our government. And so far the average cure is zero. If they find one cure, then the people will say, I have to take this medicine and say that no other medicine. That was the case now we have argued. There is only one medicine, only one cure. We have to take it. What they haven't probably cured, that is, but they haven't found the cure for maya. They have found a cure for being conditioned soul in this universe. They found a cure for not having love and devotion for Krishna. That cure was found by Rupa Goswami, found by a great Vaishnav acharya. That cure is.. any guess..Gauranga!! ( devotees shout Gauranga!!) Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu ki jai!!. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is the actual cure  to all of our diseases on this material world. It's the cure of the principal disease of forgetfulness and 21:55 of Krishna. And there is no other alternative, you see. Anywhere Lord Jesus was present, he told his followers I am the way, I am the truth, I am the light. He was all there for those people. Who else would they go to? Who else will teach them about God? Now, of course, people are saying that's for all time and all places in the 22:22. You don't find that there's only one way throughout history. Different types of history, there is different ones. But in this particular age, there's a particular way.

In this age, for instance we have Adi Purana, it is harer nāma harer nāma

harer nāmaiva kevalam

kalau nāsty eva nāsty eva

nāsty eva gatir anyathā

Chant the holy names, chant the holy names, chant the holy names, there is no other way in this age of Kali except there's no other way,  no other way, no other way. So there's no other alternative. You can do karma, you can do jnana, you can do yoga. You can practice all the different aspects of Vedic dharma but we won't take you to the point of 23:11 love for Krishna unless you come to the practice of chanting the holy names. And holy names need to be chanted by  devotees of the Lord. I remember, Srila Prabhupad was at a Gita gathering yajna. 23:31 in the Vinoda Bhave' s ashram. There were so many different - karma Kandis, jnana kandis taking that Gita and Prabhupad was the only pure devotee. So Prabhupad had his devotees chant Hare Krishna and everyone was chanting the holy name and all the people present there were clapping their hands and moving their hands and everyone was enjoying the kirtan. And the other karma Kandis, jnana kandis, Mayavadis, some of them were getting really disturbed that Prabhupad is stealing the show. So I explained this completely that after Prabhupad finished his lecture, one Mayavadi got on the stage. He was there all sitting out there because his turn to speak on the Gita. And he told his followers let's chant the kirtan. Now they was not that very used to chanting kirtan. He came up with the funniest kirtan I ever heard. He had started to chant. I can't remember exactly but something like...sat cid Ananda Vasudeva om tat sat sat cit ananda Vasudeva om tat sat Hari sat cit... something like south indian or malayalam language, something like that (devotees laughing). Prabhupad shook his head, you know. He didn't understand and his followers are trying to follow his one four seven beat, you know. sat cit ananda Vasudeva speculation and doing his claps! Prabhupad giggled and this person was just trying to like put him on, it was like Krishna and Paundraka so that Prabhupad is called as 25:22. So while we are listening to this other person's kirtan, the Hare Krishna, the whole lot of  kirtan. Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare,Hare Rama Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare (devotees sing along with Guru Maharaj). Haribol! ( devotees saying Haribol). Everybody started chanting and clapping, that Mayavadi ran (devotees laughing). Prabhupad was beaming. Even the Mayavadis, they try to imitate. They try to, it doesn't come on, doesn't make it. Some of them, they have given out trying. They just commit offences. They just offend the holy name. So Lord Chaitanya said Mayavadi 26:13. Maya sarva nasa You lose your devotion, you lose your Krishna consciousness if you hear the Mayavadis. Mayavadi hoi Krishna aparadh. They are all answerable to Lord Krishna. Inorder to chant the holy name, you have to hear from the devotees. So Prabhupad after that function, he told that the devotees, you are all, your chanting was so natural because you are pure devotees. Pure devotion, of course we have very highest in the pure devotion. I don't know if we get any devotion. But Prabhupad had a very 26:53 definition. He told us pure devotees are as pure devotees. There's right bangles and there's partially right bangles and there's 27:04. But all of them Prabhupad just said pure devotees. Those who are wanting to rise, those who are in purely love of Krishna, those who are completely fixed in wanting to love Krishna and serving Krishna in devotion without any condition, those who are aspiring to serve Krishna without any condition, all the different levels uttama, madhyama, kanishta adhikari were considered by Prabhupad pure devotees and then objective was satisfaction of Krishna. Many 27:43 are chanting for 27:45 devotees. That's why in Mayapur festival, Vrindavan festivals, iskcon festivals are so satisfied because there are devotees. By their chanting, they invoke the presence of Krishna. Krishna explained I am not in Vaikuntha, I am not in the heart of the yogis, I am where My devotees are saying My glories.

When the devotees are assembled together singing the glories on the Lord, the Lord is present. So that's where we can actually realise Krishna, Chaitanya. So one could see Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and others will hear about Him. Prabhupad said that seeing Him with our eyes or seeing Him with our ears is not different. They are both on the same transcendental platform. So we can go on hearing and realising Chaitanya Mahaprabhu all of the year, all of the life, life after life eternally. We can continually remain in the presence of Lord Chaitanya and that is a special gift we can get here in Mayapur, Navadvip dham in the association of so many devotees, in the association of pure devotees, we are able to experience the presence of Krishna in His name, Lord Chaitanya in His name, in His remembrance, in His worship. And some who are very fortunate, they can also see the Lord with their transcendental vision.

So we know these things that will be given to us. But in the beginning or the end rather, end of the  Dwapara Yuga, it wasn't very clear what was going to be the future of the people of Kali Yuga. Was it so 29:56 about sinful, hellish arguemental, materialistic, iron age with no hope, no bhakti, no jnana, no prema, nothing, like desert. This is one of those Kali Yugas where everyone is completely in a hopeless condition but no chance to get love of Krishna. That was  a apprehension of Narada Muni. He was very concerned. He went to Dwaraka. He bowed down to Krishna. Then Krishna was going to come as a devotee in the age of Kali. He was going to give out devotion and so Krishna told Narad the 30:48 Don't worry, I will come back, I will give out bhakti, I will attend the conditioned souls. You go and tell all the devas, when I come, I want them to come with Me, help Me. I want them to be My associates and My assistant in this mission of giving out the sankirtan yajna.

So Narada Muni, he was very excited. He was like building an appearance of frustration earlier and now there was a hope, so happy the Lord was coming. So then he went to see Lord Brahma, the first Guru in our disciplic succession, the creator of this universe. Narada Muni flew upto Satya Loka and there Narada Muni who was mental son of Brahma, offered respects to his father and his guru. Brahma is the second Guru in disciplic succession. So Brahma even though 31:55 was acting his father and disciple, that Narada was actually eternal. Therefore he would give him a great 32:03 and made him to sit down. Even Brahma has to die but Narada never dies, completely nitya siddha mukta, liberated soul. So then Narada Muni started to discuss with Lord Brahma all the several things that had happened and how the coming Kali Yuga was going to be very special because normally only a partial incarnation of Lord Vishnu appears in the Kali Yuga. And in the next Yuga, age of Kali, Krishna Himself is going to come 32:46 how Krishna comes in different avatars. But then Krishna had promised Lord Brahma in bhavishya Purana 3 times, He would come in the beginning of the age of Kali and begin the Sankirtan movement and he would appear in the womb of mother Sachi. He also reminded Brahma that in the Shanti parva Mahabharat, it was predicted that the lord would come in golden colour decorated with sandalwood pulp and very peacefully accepting ashram of sanyasi and distribute pure devotional service to all the conditioned souls.

In the age of Kali, the religious activities are induced including charity, penances, austerities, fire sacrifices, varnashrama dharma, celibacy, combination of spiritual knowledge and self center, everything is reduced because of the sinful activities of the people who are fallen in the age of Kali. All the spiritual practices however are contained in the holy name of the Lord. Narada Pancharatra states that all mantras tantras, everything is contained in the Hare Krishna Hare Krishna ( devotees repeating Hare Krishna Mantra after Guru Maharaj). We want 34:17 get everything. We can get it by using these names Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare ( devotees chanting Hare Krishna Mantra along with Guru Maharaj). You see 34:30 was also discussing with Brahma that all these incarnations of Godhead will deliver their followers. But when one is there ever incarnation of Godhead who will deliver and give pure love even to those who are not His followers even though some are inimical, who will use Him, that was the most rare incarnation of Godhead. Lord Brahma had informed Narayana, Don't worry! I am planning to come. I'll go and visit. I am going to come and join the pastimes of the coming incarnation and so this way, they were overwhelmed with ecstacy discussing about the future coming of the Lord. So then Lord Brahma gave leave to Narada Muni, went to inform all the other devas. So Narad started heading out to see Indra and all the other devas. And then he just started thinking, his hairs started standing on end, how will the Lord who was going to be coming very soon and he became so excited thinking of the mercy,  the glories of Lord Chaitanya, he just started to shout out Jai!! Jai!! Jai Gauranga!! Gauranga!! Haribol!! Haribol!! ( devotees shouting after Guru Maharaj). He just became overwhelmed. And so in this excited way, he went all over the universe informing. And Narada was giving the good news and the Lord of Vrindavan, Lord Krishna Himself is coming down in this age of Kali and He is going to be giving out this priceless jewel. So he informed  the Yogendra, Lord Indra, the moon god Chandra, all the maha rishis in the heavenly planet, everyone, he started giving out the great news. They were all feeling very frustrated that Krishna is leaving the universe, Kali Yuga is going to start. They get the good news, that very soon the Lord is coming.

So on finding God, after spreading the good message, the good news through out the entire universe, he returned to his planet. He noticed watching the same anymore and 37:16 people would take like they were living dead. They didn't have that life that they had when He left the planet. He realised Krishna is gone. Krishna has left this  world. How they 37:37 see God. That's why these people 37:40 walking dead man. No more spiritual life was 37:47 in them. He was astonished wherever he went, people, they lost their taste for 37:54 spiritual activities. They didn't want to give anymore charity, penances, do austerities. They were attracted looking at the attractive features of the women. Men were infatuated with their wives, penetrating out their attractive features, they are like swords, like disrupt their bodies. Man and woman will get so attracted to each other, they forgot the all attractive feature of Lord Krishna and in this way, they have lost their spirituality. Seeing these things again and again deal with anxiety, and he sat down in meditation trying to understand what was going to happen, when was the Lord going to come and then from the sky, there was a daiva vani - Narada Muni, I am Jagannath, the Lord of the universe and I will appear as DaruBrahma in the form of the Absolute Truth in 39:06 group. You come and see me. I will now 39:12 in Nilachal. So in this way by the side of the salt ocean Narada Muni 39:19 and there he saw the beautiful form of Jagannath, Baladev and Subhadra and he fell down at their feet seeing their smiling face, their lotus eyes and he prayed before the Lord. Seeing the Lord's form more brilliant than millions of 39:40 more soothing, cooling, the original personality of Lord Krishna in this most merciful form. Out if His causeless mercy descended in this world to 39:50 pick everyone. So Narada Muni came before Jagannath and he prayed with folded hands - O Lord of the universe! O Jagannath! Have your mercy now on this age of Kali which has come. How will these people get out of this dark sinful region of life?

So then Jagannath spoke to Narada, smiling face, I can reveal everything to you in private. But now go to Goloka. Go to the supreme spiritual planet. You will go on My order. Probably when we can go from this universe to Goloka, 40:38. Go to Goloka. Then you can go 40:42. Who shall stop you? The Lord is all powerful. So there, in a planet, you go to all the 40:52 in the planet known as Goloka Vrindavan, you will find Lord Chaitanya Gaurachandra!! Gaurachandra!! ( devotees repeating after Guru Maharaj)

The Lord will take the 41;05. In Goloka everyone is serving the Lord. He is the only enjoyer and everyone else is His energy and servitor. So we know from Brahma Samhita there is Devi dham, Mahesha dham, there is Vaikuntha dham and finally there's Goloka. So Narada has to go to all the dhams. He also finally told Narad that here's the form of Narayana, Vaikuntha. But Krishna Himself was coming from Goloka. How many 41:43 to give something 41:45. Narayana comes down through His partial incarnation to give liberation. No more birth, no more death, no more old age, no more disease. You can get sarupya, sayujya, salokya, samipya, sarsti. We can various 5 types of liberation from Narayana. But pure love of Krishna, Narayan doesn't give. But Chaitanya will give this. It was a secret revelation Jagannath told Narad. In this age of Kali, so Lord is coming. So immediately without making any delay, Narada went to Vaikuntha. There after reaching the gates of Vaikuntha, entering into the planet of Vaikuntha, there he saw Lord Narayana seated on a great throne 42:42 by the 9 associates. Immediately bow down, prostrate before the Lord Narayana. The Lord rose from His throne, raised Narada Muni, smiling - What is on your mind? Kindly you give me your heart, my dear Narad. So Narada Muni replied I'm simply anxious to carry out your orders. That is the only thing which is in my heart. That which is a mystery I want to reveal. So with folded hands, Narada Muni explained that Jagannath has told, there's a special form of You coming into the material world in the age of Kali to give them which is never given before. I want to see that form of Yours. So Narayana took Narad aside to a hiding place. I know the form that you want to see. That is the most merciful form of Mine and it doesn't live in this part of the spiritual world. This is Vaikuntha. There's a part much more 43:53, much more higher, that part is called Goloka Vrindavan. Go there and the master of the entire existence, the shiksha guru of everyone is there, Mahaprabhu. Go there 44:13 desire Lord will be revealed to you. So Narada Muni took the blessings of Narayana and he went to Goloka Vrindavan. And there he could see everyone was engaged in spontaneous devotion of the Lord. Everyone was engaged in the kirtan of the Lord 44:32. The only sound was shabda brahman, transcendental vibration. So he wanted to be part, anyone understanding the glories of Goloka, you can get much more information from Prabhupad's books. I am just giving synopsis. Narad went into the inner most part of Goloka Vrindavan and there beautiful rose gardens, beautiful gardens. They are seated on a beautifully decorated throne, a platform of jewels, seated in golden form of Krishna. Gauranga!!

His form was all that 45:31 more beautiful than the sweetness of honey. 45:36 to that taste. Unbelievable, unincredible, wonderful, wonderful, this form of Lord Chaitanya. Narada Muni was completely overwhelmed. Surrounding Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, there were so many transcendental energies of the Lord engaged in bathing Lord Chaitanya. The potencies of Vrindavan were on the right side of the Lord. The potencies of Dwaraka were on the left. With golden water pots filled with transcendental Ganges water 46:07 in jewels. They were bathing the transcendental form of the Lord Chaitanya performing great abhishek bathing ceremony. Everyone was sharing the glories of the Lord and all want to hear the sound Jai !! Jai!! Gauranga!! Jai!! ( devotees repeating after Guru Maharaj) and the holy names of the Lord. In this way Lord Chaitanya was worshipped, but in four syllable mantra, Gauranga!! Nitai Gaur premanande Hari haribol ( devotees repeating after Guru Maharaj). The Lord Narayana, He had 4 hands - chakra, Padma, gadha, conch shell. What is disc called? club. Lord Chaitanya, He had only 2 hands. Seeing the 2 hands in the form of the Lord, the Lord in Goloka Vrindavan, Narada Muni fell on the ground, 47:13 before Him, like a stick on the ground, he was overwhelmed seeing such a beautiful form. So beautiful...we heard from Srila Prabhupad that Lord Chaitanya's special wealth was inconceivable beauty. Anyone who saw Him was stopped. No one had so much beauty as the Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. And Vrindavan is all that beauty in Goloka Vrindavan, He would 47:41 unconscious, overwhelmed in ecstasy. The Lord finished His bath. He said - Bring here. And the Narad was picked up and Lord Chaitanya sat him down right on His lap. Lord Chaitanya was much bigger than Narad. You see, this way Narada was allowed and in the meantime, Narad was so excited, he wants to leave. Narad 48:13 given his mind to his eternal master. Today my life is a success. I am able to see the transcendental form of Yours. So Lord Brahma and other devas, they know the glories. Now these glories are conceivable to the conditioned souls, the fallen souls. So in this way Narada wanted to know. You are being worshipped as the supreme person. They see Your potencies and energies everywhere. I am not able to understand this transcendental form of Yours, beyond the material nature, beyond perception. Actually the Lord appears in so many forms, the serpent incarnation, so many different forms. The soul remains in the Lord's mercy and this form of Lord Chaitanya is the most merciful, the most beautiful. He is the source of all mercy. So in this way Narada Muni was offering his prayers, many more prayers. I'm just cutting it short. This is mainly from the Chaitanya Mangal. We all 49:37 of Lord Chaitanya. Then Lord Chaitanya spoke to Narada Muni. It is my desire to give the mercy of My lotus feet to the fallen souls. Without cessation, My heart is crying out for these fallen souls. I will leave the spiritual world and again 49:58 appearance in the material world, to create a world centered around Lord Krishna. When everyone is filled with pure love of Godhead, spiritual brothers and sisters, devotees of the Lord, Krishna conscious devotees, this gives us an idea of what Lord Chaitanya wants. He wants this world to be centred around Krishna. Now the world is centred around sex, centred around materialism, centred around so many things but Krishna. Centred around maya sukhāya. But Krishna Chaitanya wants the whole world to be centred around Krishna and to do that, He is going to give everyone that love of Krishna and everyone will become mad after Krishna and this is how it will work.

We have to carry out this order of Lord Chaitanya to serve one another, get people to get this mercy. Prabhupad, one time said, you can go upto someone and just fall on their feet, praise them,serve your 51:2, very gentle man,51:23, handsome, educated, beautiful, wonderful person, so many good things you have, so many acheivements you've been able to achieve in this 51:37. Just glorify the 51:40. Just what they want to 51:42. So what is that? If you don't mind, can I just request one thing. All right! 51:47. Prayers 51:53. Forget it and just grab on to those two lotus feet of Gauranga (devotees shouting Gauranga). Take the lotus feet of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and chant Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare ( devotees chanting Hare Krishna mantra after Guru Maharaj). The devotees know none of those things will last. They are just willow the wisp. This moment 52:3 reality, asat. The real happiness, the reality is in worshipping Lord Chaitanya and having this Krishna devotion and then they would just grab on to Lord Gauranga's lotus feet . They would just think Oh Gauranga! Just say Hari. Just say Krishna. They will easily, they'll get the mercy of the Lord. They'll be easily, they'll be able to understand what is all this temporary nonsense. The reality is within our reach. So this is the desire of the Lord to make the whole world Krishna centred.

That is our special duty, our special function, our special favour, service, our own freedom of love. Just for this desire of Lord Chaitanya, we have to make everyone Krishna conscious somehow or the other and this is the Lord's desire. So Lord Chaitanya  what are we dealing in his mind to Narad Muni giving His mercy to Narad.  I am going to leave the spiritual world. I am going to come again to the material world and make the whole world centred around Krishna, everyone filled with pure love of Godhead. I am going to deliver the people of the Kali Yuga preaching the glories of My own devotional service. How does He deliver the people in sankirtan party? Give them devotional service. Maybe serve Krishna 54:21. That was very nicely explained in previous classes. How we can reverse the whole reason for being in maya. Simply by surrendering to Krishna. So Lord Chaitany’s purpose was to give out this devotion. We have to systematically set our options 54:43 professionalism. When our profession will lift them  up expertly, we have to show how seated Lord is left out. Everyone gets the mercy. Everyone gets the benediction of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Lord Chaitanya 55:00 told Haridas Thakur that He was feeling some anxiety. Give people 55:06 getting the mercy. Some fishermen, some argumental students, some parents, just like that 55:11. He was seeing who is feeling left out. In other words Lord Chaitanya's agenda, there's no one who should not get the mercy. No one should go hungry from this real hunger, this real satisfaction, love of Krishna. So definitely, we have to be very expert, very potential to see 55:37 in the world. Every person, every fallen soul can receive the mercy of Gauranga. Gauranga!! Gauranga!! ( devotees shouting Gauranga after Guru Maharaj). Who is the most expert? 55:55 Lord Chaitanya, the real state of this modern age, is seeing Srila Prabhupad. He was so expert. He was so efficient in giving out Lord Chaitanya's mercy, traveling all over the world, translating books, answering hundreds of letters, establishing temples and farms, guiding devotees, training the whole industrial structure for the society, giving us so much opportunity to serve. So much opportunity, many times we fail to take it. We don't hold this 56:32. We fail to cling to his lotus feet sufficiently. But  he circled the globe and the whole world in just 18 days. 56:43 all is followers were 56:45 he told him. So in any case, how lacking we are. But Prabhupad, he had to protect the agenda. We have to become so expert followers of Prabhupad because he knew what Lord Chaitanya wanted, he knew how to give out this mercy of Lord Chaitanya. There maybe other people, there are other ideas, we don't care. We want to follow Prabhupad because we know he had the best idea of how to give the mercy of Lord Chaitanya to everyone. Srila Prabhupad ki Jai!!

Prabhupad ki jai!! ( devotees  repeating after Guru Maharaj). So Lord Chaitanya, He was telling that, I'm not going to only come alone, I'm going to come down with My associates, I'm going to come in Nadia, in Navadvip, in Mayapur. I'm going to come with Balaram and Balaram is going to be with Me, His holy name known as Nityananda!! Nityananda!! Nityananda!! ( devotees repeating after Guru Maharaj). That Nityananda who is Ananta, who is Balaram, who is worshipped by Shiva and the eleven rudras,that Balaram is coming as Nityananda 58:07 and so many other associates. So then He took Narad aside leaving the other associates and at that time. This was all in kali yuga. Then he came back to the other associates and he was going to send Narad off. Then he followed the other associates. They said Radha! They say Lalitha, Vishakha, Induleka, Tungavidya, Ranga Devi, Sudevi, Chitra, Champakalatha, listen Rukmini, Satyabhama,  listen Rupa manjari, listen Ananga manjari, all listen what I'm going to. I'm going to take birth in Mayapur, I'll take birth in Saci house and give out love of Krishna to everyone and will flood the entire world with love for Krishna! Nitai Gaura Hariiiibollllll ( devotees shouting Hari haribol after Guru Maharaj). And you want to come along with Me, some before, some today, some after, you're all welcome. 59:28 Uttara asked up right 59:29. So we all came and Radha came as Gadadhar. Lalitha, Vishakha, they came, Svarup Damodar, Ramananda Raya, different people, they joined up together, maybe Arjuna in the 59:45, somehow they all had to be present. Somebody wanted this this one, somebody wanted this this way, the pastime of the Lord. So He told them, I'm coming, I will personally appear and personally, I will preach in bharat varsha. But there are other interesting. This is 450 years ago, this was written by Lochanadas Thakur, one of the direct associate, disciple. He explained that there are many sinful practices. In sinful practices, we may get a distant countries and then there are religions in those countries, countries that allow sinful activities to be performed in the name of religion. When I'm not personally present, then I understand my internal pure devotee, I'm going to send my senapathi bhakta, my commanding general devotee to go and deliver all those distant sinful countries with their religions and allow people to go on doing sinful activities. I will deliver all of them through that devotee and that everyone be given the love of Krishna. Nitai Gaur premanande Hari haribol!! Srila Prabhupad ki Jai!! ( devotees repeating along with Guru Maharaj).

In this way the Lord personally appeared with His intimate associates. He is going to inundate the entire world, the entire universe with pure love. So Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu along with all His associates revealed to Narada Muni how He was going to come. They told Narada, by the way before you go back to earth, just stop in and see Balaram. He is making a visit there.1:02:00. Go and see Him 1:02:03 and ready, we are about to appear and this way took a call 1:02:11. So Balaram informed when Narada Muni appeared before Balaram. There Balaram was being worshipped so beautifully. There were Devaki, Vasudha, they paid their obeisances before the Lord and He was overwhelmed, this reality of Lord Chaitanya, He couldn't speak before. He wanted to go actually from Balaram 1:02:48, He was overwhelmed and suddenly, actually on the way to Balaram, He just became so mad with ecstacy, so badly he got the mercy of Lord Chaitanya, His goal,  His mission. So he was like a lion. He started to roar Gauranga!!

This way Narada Muni in his complete ecstacy went to see Balaram in His own spiritual abode and there he saw that Balaram was so beautiful. He was relaxed in His simhasana against the beautiful pillow that is wrapped on His head and his right hand was holding the hand of the eternal consort Revati. In this way Revathi was making offering to Balaram, many assistants who were carrying Balaram. There was music. There was chanting. There was kirtan. The other associate Bhu devi, Vasudha, She was also worshipping and She is providing Balaram, She was winding up palm leaf or something. In this way, everyone was engaged in different devotional services. So Narada Muni bending on his knee now entered in and immediately went and saw Balaram, he fell on the ground, offered his obesceinces and the Lord picked up Narada and also kept him on His lap. And Narada was asked by Balaram - Why have you come? And Narada Muni replied to Balaram - What can I say 1:04:37. You are the Super soul of everyone. You are the source of the Super soul, Paramatma! Everyone and everything is known to You. Being concerned for the, then he explained how he was concerned for the fallen souls of Kali Yuga, how He went to see the Lord, how he saw the Lord in Goloka Vrindavan, how Lord Chaitanya in which  form He was going to come, accepting the mood of Radharani, the colour of Radharani in gold and as a devotee and relish devotion and give devotion. And so Lord Chaitanya wants You to come also as His associate and assistant in His mission taking Your own name Sri Nityananda. Nothing is out of Your understanding. You already know before I told You. But I had to tell You anyway because I was told to do so by Lord Chaitanya. So when Balaram heard the words of Narada Muni, He looked outside the side and He started to laugh. So Narada Muni and He started to cry out - Wonderful!! Wonderful!!. Lord Balaram told His own associates that you come with Me. Let's go to carry out the order of Lord Chaitanya. And then as Balaram was getting ready and Narada Muni was about to leave He said - Wait a minute, Narad, you can't escape this pastime. You have to also come. You also appear and come down and be present in Navadvip before the Lord comes. You come as Srivas. Sri Krishna Chaitanya!!Prabhu Nityananda!! Sri Advaita!! Gadadhar!! Srivas!! adi gaura bhakta vrinda( devotees repeating after Guru Maharaj).

 Everybody was taking their appearance in this world to fulfill the order of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and somehow, we were just rotting in this material world, rotting in our activities of the senses. Chewing the chewed and somehow or the other Lord Chaitanya by His causeless mercy sent a senapati bhakta. He sent His commanding general devotee Srila Prabhupad and he uplifted the countless living entities giving the seed of devotion all over this world. How much we have to be grateful to the mercy of Gauranga. How much we have to be grateful to the mercy of Srila Prabhupad. Srila Prabhupad ki Jai!! (Devotees repeat  Jai thrice after Guru Maharaj).

How unfortunate is it that still there are so many millions and millions of people who haven't understood the greatness of the mercy of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. They haven't tasted the nectar of Gauranga!! ( devotees repeat after Guru Maharaj). They haven't understood or got the mercy of His pure devotee Srila Prabhupad. So in this way, we have to do so much. Actually we have no capacity, no potency or no ability. Personally I don't have, you have. Lord Chaitanya's mercy, even though we are so limited, personally we get, by His mercy, by the mercy of Srila Prabhupad. There's nothing that can't be done.

Arjuna didn't have a whole lot of 1:08:35 in the Kurukshetra battle against Bhishma, against Dronacharya, against the whole Kuru army, against Karna and others. But because Krishna was his Parthasarathi, he was easily able to be victorious. Srila Prabhupad, our Partha Sarathi, he is our guide, he is our siksha Guru and jagat guru, our acharya who preached the 1:09:01. He is guiding us and lord Chaitanya mercy is there. We simply have to very expertly carry out the instructions and now we have great opportunity, that is the 1:09:15 is coming up. To you actually brought every day every moment every minute is the golden process brought up by Prabhupad. What is that tenure? But for the karmis and 1:09:28. So it is the opportunity for us to focus specifically on this time to let people glorify Prabhupad, know Prabhupad. But actually we are singly doing this. We always 1:09:42 all the time until the whole world is centered around Krishna. We wait on Chaitanya Mahaprabhu but what is the problem that told us to wait1:09:53. Krishna 1:09:57  world centred around Krishna. That was Prabhupad's instruction. The 1:10:04 of Gauranga now 1:10:06  the day. Understanding His appearance to be so merciful, so transcendental. By His mercy, we can simply be released from every 1:10:18 pure instruments. Carry out carefully the instructions of Prabhupad. Then , we could, we can achieve everything that Lord Chaitanya wants you to 1:10:30 and we'll get the mercy. We would be able to chant-  Gauranga!! Keep the whole world chanting. Gauranga!! Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare (devotees repeating after Guru Maharaj). Thank you very much.(applauding).
