Chapter entitled as The Result of Hearing the Pastime That Mahāprabhu Performed in the House of Advaita Ācārya
Caitanya-Bhāgavata Madhya-khaṇḍa 19.255
nityānanda o advaita-mahāprabhura ubhayahasta-svarūpa, ubhayera madhye aprītira abhāva; ubhayera kalaha līlāmātra—
prabhu-vigrahera dui bāhu dui jana
prīti-bai aprīti nāhika kona kṣaṇa
Translation: Those two Prabhus are the two arms of the Lord. They had only love for each other; there were no bad feelings between Them for even a moment.
Prabhu Nityānanda and Prabhu Advaita are the right and left hands of Gaurasundara. Therefore, there is factually no possibility of any bad feelings or misunderstanding between Them. Both are intoxicated with love of God.
Jayapatākā Swami: These two prabhus, are like the two arms of Gaurāṅga Mahāprabhu’s form. Other than pure love, They had no other feelings for each other. They had no bad feelings, even for a moment, between Them. So, Nityānanda and Advaita Prabhus are the right and left hands of Lord Gaurāṅga. Therefore, there is practically no possibility of bad feelings or misunderstanding between Them. Both are intoxicated with pure ecstatic love of Godhead.
Caitanya-Bhāgavata Madhya-khaṇḍa 19.256
tabe ye kalaha dekha, se kṛṣṇera līlā
bālakera prāya viṣṇu-vaiṣṇavera khelā
Translation: The quarreling that is seen between Them is part of Kṛṣṇa's pastimes. The sporting of Viṣṇu and the Vaiṣṇavas is like that of children.
Jayapatākā Swami: So, the quarreling that is seen between Nityānanda and Advaita Prabhu, is part of Kṛṣṇa’s pastimes. It is just like the sporting pastimes of Viṣṇu and the Vaiṣṇavas, it is like that of children.
Caitanya-Bhāgavata Madhya-khaṇḍa 19.257
mahāprabhura advaita-mandire kṛṣṇa-kīrtana-līlā bujhite śrībaladeva prabhui samartha—
hena mate mahāprabhu advaita-mandire
svānubhāvānande kṛṣṇa-kīrtane vihare
Translation: In this way Mahāprabhu was absorbed in His own ecstatic mood while enjoying the glorification of Kṛṣṇa in the house of Advaita.
Jayapatākā Swami: In this way, Caitanya Mahāprabhu, Gaurāṅga Mahāprabhu, He was absorbed in His own ecstatic mood, of enjoying the glorification of Kṛṣṇa, kṛṣṇa-kīrtana, in the house of Advaita Gosāñi.
Caitanya-Bhāgavata Madhya-khaṇḍa 19.258
ihā bujhibāra śakti prabhu balarāma
anye nāhi jānaye e-saba guṇa-grāma
Translation: Only Lord Balarāma has the power to understand these pastimes. No one else can understand the nature of these pastimes.
Jayapatākā Swami: Lord Balarāma has the power to understand these pastimes of the Lord. No one else can understand, these pastimes of the Lord, the nature of these pastimes.
Caitanya-Bhāgavata Madhya-khaṇḍa 19.259
viśrambha gurusevārata janera baladeva-kṛpāya kṛṣṇakīrtane adhikāra prāpti; aprākṛta-sarasvatī tādṛśa janera jihvāya nṛtyakāriṇī—
sarasvatī jāne balarāmera kṛpāya
sabāra jihvāya sei bhagavatī gāya
Translation: By the mercy of Balarāma, goddess Sarasvatī also knows these pastimes. That goddess glorifies these pastimes through the tongues of those who are qualified.
By the mercy of Śrī Baladeva, the teachings of Śrī Caitanya are established on the tongues of those who engage in kīrtana. Only those who have vowed to serve their spiritual master with awe and reverence are able to glorify the pastimes of Kṛṣṇa. Śuddhā Sarasvatī, the goddess of transcendental knowledge, dances on their tongues and releases waves of Kṛṣṇa's glories.
Jayapatākā Swami: By the mercy of Balarāma, goddess Sarasvatī knows these pastimes. The goddess sings the glories of these pastimes, through the tongues of those who are qualified. And those who have taken the vow to serve their guru, their spiritual master with awe and reverence, are able to glorify the pastimes of Śrī Gaurāṅga Mahāprabhu. So, by the mercy of Śrī Baladeva, who has incarnated as Nityānanda, the teachings of Śrī Gaurāṅga, Śrī Caitanya, are manifested through the tongues of those who engage in kīrtana. Transcendental Sarasvatī, the goddess of transcendental knowledge, dances on their tongues, and releases vibrations of Kṛṣṇa’s glories.

granthakārera nivedana o bhakta-praṇāma—
e-saba kathāra nāhi jāni anukrama
ye-te-mate gāi mātra kṛṣṇera vikrama
Translation: I do not know the chronological order of these pastimes. Somehow or other I am simply singing Kṛṣṇa's glories.
Jayapatākā Swami: I do not know the chronological order of these pastimes. Somehow or other, I sing these glories of Lord Kṛṣṇa.

Translation: After staying for some days at the house of Advaita, the Lord returned to Navadvīpa with the three Prabhus.

Translation: Gauracandra Mahāprabhu, the life and soul of everyone, embraced each one of them with love.
Jayapatākā Swami: Gauracandra Mahāprabhu was the life and soul of everyone. The Lord embraced everyone in love.
Caitanya-Bhāgavata Madhya-khaṇḍa 19.267
bhaktagaṇera tattva—
sabei prabhura nija vigraha-samāna
sabei udāra-bhāgavatera pradhāna
Translation: They were all equal to the Lord's own body. They were magnanimous and topmost devotees of the Lord.
Jayapatākā Swami: They were all equal to the Lord’s transcendental form. They were all magnanimous, and the topmost devotees of the Lord.
Caitanya-Bhāgavata Madhya-khaṇḍa 19.268

Translation: They all offered obeisances to Advaita, by whose devotion Lord Caitanya incarnated.
Jayapatākā Swami: All these devotees offered their obeisances to Lord Advaita, whose devotional service was the cause of Lord Caitanya’s incarnation.
Caitanya-Bhāgavata Madhya-khaṇḍa 19.269
ānande hailā matta vaiṣṇava-sakala
sabe kare prabhu-saṅge kṛṣṇa-kolāhala
Translation: All the Vaiṣṇavas became intoxicated with ecstasy as they discussed topics of Kṛṣṇa with the Lord.
Jayapatākā Swami: All the assembled Vaiṣṇavas became intoxicated with transcendental ecstasy, discussing, the pastimes of Kṛṣṇa with Lord Gaurāṅga.
Caitanya-Bhāgavata Madhya-khaṇḍa 19.270
vadhū-saṅge śacīmātāra gaurasundarera darśane 'ānanda
pūtra dekhi' āi haila ānande vihvala
vadhū-saṅge gṛhe kare govinda-maṅgala
Translation: Mother Śacī became overwhelmed with ecstasy on seeing her son. She and her daughter-in-law prayed to Govinda for auspiciousness.
When Śrī Śacīdevī saw Śrī Gaurasundara return with Śrī Nityānanda, Śrī Advaita, and Śrī Haridāsa and found her entire house becoming filled with the intoxicated Vaiṣṇavas' vibration of topics regarding Kṛṣṇa, she became most jubilant. When Mother Śacī watched with her daughter-in-law how Śrī Gaurasundara was absorbed in glorifying Kṛṣṇa, she became equally pleased. Unlike the material pleasure derived by ordinary fathers-in-law from the meeting of their sons and daughters-in-law, Mother Śacī became overwhelmed in ecstasy when she saw the auspicious symptom that everyone out of ecstatic love considered the Lord's house as Goloka.
Jayapatākā Swami: Mother Śacī became overwhelmed with ecstatic love on seeing her son! She and her daughter-in-law, Viṣṇupriyā, prayed unto Lord Govinda for all auspiciousness. Mother Śacī, when she saw with her son came Śrī Nityānanda, Śrī Advaita and Śrī Haridāsa, and many Vaiṣṇavas, all intoxicated with vibrating topics of Lord Kṛṣṇa, mother Śacī, she became most jubilant. With mother Śacī was with her daughter-in-law Viṣṇupriyā devī, saw how her son Gaurasundara was absorbed in glorifying Kṛṣṇa, kṛṣṇa-kīrtana. They both were very pleased. So, this is not like the pleasure of a mother-in-law or father-in-law, when they see their son and their daughter-in-law uniting. Mother Śacī and Viṣṇupriyā devī became overwhelmed in ecstasy, when they saw that everyone present, considered the Lord’s house of Goloka Vṛndāvana! Haribol! Mother Śacī and Viṣṇupriyā also were having such ecstatic feelings in pure Kṛṣṇa consciousness.
Caitanya-Bhāgavata Madhya-khaṇḍa 19.271
granthakārera nityānanda-niṣṭhā—
ihā balibāra śakti sahasra-vadana
ye prabhu āmāra janma-janmera jīvana
Translation: Only the thousand-headed Lord, who is My life and soul birth after birth, has the power to describe these pastimes.
Jayapatākā Swami: The power to explain these pastimes, is only with the thousand headed Lord Anantadeva, the expansion of Lord Balarāma, who is my life and soul, life after life!
Caitanya-Bhāgavata Madhya-khaṇḍa 19.272
nityānanda-tattva—
`dvija, vipra, brāhmaṇa' ye hena nāma-bheda
ei mata bheda nityānanda-baladeva
Translation: Just as dvija, vipra, and brāhmaṇa are different only in name, Nityānanda and Baladeva are similarly different only in name.
Jayapatākā Swami: Just as the words dvija, vipra, brāhmaṇa are different only in name, similarly, Nityānanda and Baladeva are simply different in name.
Caitanya-Bhāgavata Madhya-khaṇḍa 19.273
adhyāyera phalaśruti—
advaita-gṛhete prabhu yata kaila keli
ihā yei śune, sei pāya sei meli
Translation: Anyone who hears the pastimes that the Lord performed in the house of Advaita will join in such pastimes.
Jayapatākā Swami: Anyone who hears the pastimes that the Lord performed in the house of Advaita, he will join in such pastimes.
Thus ends the Chapter -
The Result of Hearing the Pastime of Mahāprabhu in the House of Advaita Ācārya
* * *
By hearing these pastimes of the Lord, one can get the result of joining in the pastimes in the future! That is the supreme goal of our life, to be able to join in the pastimes of Lord Gaurāṅga Mahāprabhu! Pastimes with great devotees like Advaita Gosāñi and Nityānanda Prabhu. Haribol!
What time is it?
We got the info that Giriraj Govardhan das, he left his body in Narayanganj, Bangladesh. So we can pray for his achieving the Lord’s lotus feet. Hare Kṛṣṇa Hare Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Hare Hare, Hare Rāma Hare Rāma Rāma Rāma Hare Hare!
Question: Hare Kṛṣṇa Guru Mahārāja. PAMHO, AGTSP! Advaita Ācārya got married pretty late. He was in such age when it was time to become vānaprastha, instead He showed an example of a prosperous gṛhastha. Why is it so? Your spiritual daughter, Acyuta Priyā Kiśorī devī dāsī.
Guru Mahārāja: I don’t know what age He married in! Where did you get this information? Lord Nityānanda married later! I never heard about Advaita’s. Lord Nityānanda, He married after Lord Caitanya told Him, go back to Bengal, take gṛhastha life. Actually, He was like a sannyāsī, but He was a brahmacārī, so then He married Jāhnavā and Vasudhā. I don’t part know about Advaita Gosāñi, when He actually married. I don’t know where your information is from? Because, we know that He lived in Śāntipura, and He also lived in Navadvīpa and that He was already married before Lord Caitanya was born. And that Sītā Ṭhākurāṇī came to bless Lord Caitanya. Apparently, He had six sons. And these sons, we know that Acyutānanda was a small boy when Lord Caitanya visited the house of Lord Advaita. I am not particularly convinced that He married at an old age, but I will look into it. Because by the time Lord Caitanya came, He already had six children. (Devotee said; she is probably confused and was referring to Lord Nityānanda.) So, Lord Caitanya was a gṛhastha. And He took sannyāsa at the early age of 24. Then He told Nityānanda that He should be a gṛhastha, and show how He could practice Krsna consciousness as a gṛhastha. He did so, on the order of Lord Caitanya.
Question: Hare Kṛṣṇa my dear Guru Mahārāja PAMHO AND PAMRO. (Guru Mahārāja: Wow! Humble and respectful!) I am trying to develop my devotional life according to your instructions and Śrīla Prabhupāda’s teachings. But cannot fall down again and again. How can I be free from this problem? I pray to your lotus feet so that I can be pleased by following your instructions properly and develop my devotional service I can be blessed by you. Your humble shelter disciple, Jiṣu Sen.
Guru Mahārāja: I don’t know exactly, maybe you can write to me a personal letter, and we can see what is the nature of your fall downs. And how he can adjust that. It is not really a question. It is like a request for personal blessing. But we can be freed from a problem, by engaging in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, by taking the shelter of guru and Kṛṣṇa. By praying to Them. We should avoid the six bad associations, take the six good associations. These are mentioned in the Upadeśāmṛta, Nectar of Instruction. So if we are in bad association, naturally we may fall down, in good association, we can be more fixed. But you can write me a letter, that is what the guru is for, to give some specific prescription for your specific difficulties!
Question: In Bengali. Hare Kṛṣṇa guru Mahārāja, PAMRO. Your eternal servant, Aruṇakānti Gaurāṅga dāsa.
Guru Mahārāja: So, he is saying, he offends Vaiṣṇavas in his mind when he chants japa and reads books, especially. The point is that, we see the good qualities in Vaiṣṇavas. Vaiṣṇavas may always have some bad qualities. But we should not be like flies that go for the sores. We should be like bumble bees and go for the honey! We should see the good qualities in the Vaiṣṇavas, bad qualities in ourselves. We try to improve ourselves, and we see all the good qualities of the Vaiṣṇavas. We should not think we are great, instead if we think we are great, other Vaiṣṇavas we find fault. So this should be avoided. You can do that if we see the good qualities. Just like Lord Caitanya said in the third verse of His Śikṣaṣṭakam, mānadena amāninā. Give respect to all others and don’t expect respect for yourself. Hare Kṛṣṇa! Other questions?
In this time of the lockdown, you can remember the pastime of Kṛṣṇa lifting the Govardana hill. At that time all the Vrajavāsīs were in lockdown, under the hill. But they felt, that the time was passing very past, because they were having Kṛṣṇa present, and He was lifting the hill. So, everyone was absorbed in the pastime and their particular relationship with Kṛṣṇa. Like that, use this time to cultivate your bhakti, to preach, to increase the number of devotees, in this way, you can taste the nectar of Kṛṣṇa, always!
Prayers and blessings: Hare Kṛṣṇa! Jaya Guru Mahārāja! PAMRO. Could I please respectfully request you pray for Prema Mañjarī devī dāsī Mātājī, Haridāsa prabhu’s wife, from ISKCON Coventry, UK? She is hospitalized, admitted in ICU, supported by ventilator for breathing. She had a seizure and was rushed to hospital. It was not COVID-19. But other health reason. Your insignificant fallen servant, Prema Prakāśa Gaura dāsa.
Guru Mahārāja: Prema Mañjarī is very dedicated to Lord Jagannātha, Baladeva, Subhadrā. She would always do some service for the Lord in Jagannātha Purī and also here. So, we can all request Lord Narasiṁhadeva, Bhakta Prahlāda, Lord Jagannātha, Baladeva, Subhadrā, Sudarśana Cakra, to help her, because we need her association. Hare Kṛṣṇa Hare Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Hare Hare, Hare Rāma Hare Rāma Rāma Rāma Hare Hare!
Thank you all. I will leave you to the transcendental announcements!
