GURU MAHĀRĀJA SPEAKS WHILE THE RUSSIAN TRANSLATOR TRANSLATES 

So from here we go north and you get down in Shankarpur, while next year we want to go to Rudrampur. Rudrampur is the last edge on the north of Navadvipa Dham. There are various holy places in Rudrampur. Rama during His lila, He bathes in Rudrampur (One devotee asks Rama or Parasurama) (Guru Mahārāja tells Rama) And on the Kartik Purnima, bathing there is one hundred times more powerful than bathing in Haridwar.

One king, he offended the Brahmarishi, who had body hair all over his body. His life span was one day of Brahmā and one hair would fall off. He had a lot of hair. So this king laughed at him, Hey Hey HEY (Guru Maharaja imitates laughter) and he was cursed. “You shall be a demon, for laughing at me, and you will have a head of a pig”. So he was known as Kolasura. When Kurukshetra war was going on Lord Balarama, he visited the holy places. So he also visited Rudrampur. And he killed the asura, Kolasura. He also killed another demon who lived near the Jagannātha temple, called Māyāsura. That was just recent, 5000 years ago.

Also when Lord Nityānanda was sent back to Navadvipa, to Bengal to preach, he was told by Lord Caitanya to accept gṛhastha life. So he married Jahnava and Vasudha Devi. And at that time the Ganges had shifted and it was flowing in Rudrampur. So Lord Nityānanda stayed there for sometime. So, on the 25th anniversary, next year we will camp there. Who will be here?? Next year (Guru Mahārāja and all devotees raise their hands) Was there any enthusiasm??  (Guru Mahārāja questions to the English repeater) (Guru Mahārāja asks again) Was there any enthusiasm??

(All devotees reply by loudly chanting HARIBOL!!)

We will find out from the shopkeepers, how they did yesterday. (Guru Mahārāja nodding his head) We have our spies. (English repeater chuckling) So today we are going to from Ritudvipa to Jahnudvipa to Modadrumadvipa, Koladvipa and then we are going to Rudradvipa and Simanta dvipa. I think in total, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 ( Guru Mahārāja counting on his fingers) WOW!! A lot of islands!!

Did you notice when next to the Jahnudvipa, there was a little house, chicken hatchery. CHICKEN HATCHERY (Guru Mahārāja repeats) CHICK, CHICK, CHICKEN HATCHERY. That’s why we need to get these places, because otherwise they will build chicken hatcheries, all waste (Guru Mahārāja shrugs his shoulders) So I told next year, we should make at least in those places where we are owning, they should make storm proof tents, sheds, buildings, So here we may see next year some sheds with corrugated tin or something. (Repeater in English asks, is this our place to which Guru Mahārāja gives a positive answer) ALL DEVOTEES CHANT HARIBOL!! Guru Mahārāja asks, Do you like this place?? (To which all devotees reply with a Big HARIBOL!!)  

On the way here, there is Aṛkyatila. Did you see Aṛkyatila?? (Guru Mahārāja asks) It is non -different from Suryakunda in Vṛndāvana. Down the road there is another holy place. Bhaktivinoda Thakura has said that, that holy place was in the place called Mahatpur. So he looked at some ancient land records. And he found a place called Mahatpur. That place was where the Pandavas, Draupadi, Kunti they came. Here Yudhisthira had a vision of Lord Caitanya. He realised that Lord Caitanya is actually Kṛṣṇa, their friend. Drug Drug (Drug is friend in Russian, Guru Mahārāja tells in Russian) Pandavas they stayed here for some time and worshipped Lord Kṛṣṇa as Lord Caitanya. So many holy places are here!! Modadrumadvipa is an island of service, dasya. (Guru Mahārāja repeats) Modadrumadvipa is an island of dasya. So there you have Vaikuntapur. So we want to get all these places …. (16.54) We have located almost all but we have yet to get them.

So for that purpose we have made a Navadvipa Development Trust. 2.4 acres is one hectare and one acre is 3 bighas and one bigha is 20 kathas. So before I would buy one bigha for 500 to 1200 Rupeeṣ. But in Mayapur the price today is 3 to 6 lakhs, 300,000- 600,000 per katha. So here the price is a little less. The price is fast rising. So we are trying to get holy places to preserve them. And certain places we would like to have our own camps so that like here we own this, also in Vidyanagar we would like to own something and we would like to build stronger shed for devotees. Anyways.

Now you will be going for about 45 minutes on the Ganges.( Repeater asks whether they will be going by boats) To which Guru Mahārāja replies, by boats. We will have to walk to the Ganges. When you go don’t put your feet into the Ganges, it’s offensive, dip your gamcha and put on your head. Don’t sit on the edge and don’t dip your feeṭ. (Guru Mahārāja repeats) Don’t sit on the edge and dip your feet in.

A few years ago, one brahmacārī, he was sitting on the edge, he fell asleep and he fell into the wateṛ. He was picked up by the mataji’s boaṭ. (Guru Maharaja stresses and speaks loudly and touches his head)What an embarrassment!! (Devotees laughing) Emergency knows no ruleṣ. But better to stay in the boaṭ. ( Repeater laughs) And I don’t think, but there are supposed to be some vests, in case you don’t know swimming, there is a vest to weaṛ. The river by Shankhapura is very fast, so be very carefuḷ. We want all of you to return back home to preach. So you went to many islands today, you still have a long journey. So we want to wish you a good trip.
