20241107 Short Evening Darśana

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
paramānanda-mādhavam śrī caitanya īśvaram

Jayapatākā Swami: Two days ago, I had high fever and high blood pressure. And a devotee astrologer said as per chart I was sick and require hospitalization. I went downstairs to my hospital room! I stayed there one night. There was not much air filtration there. They also gave me antibiotics and due to that there was itching all over the body. Then I came upstairs to my room last night.

This afternoon His Holiness Rādhānātha Swami came and met me and we discussed for about one and a half hours. He had invited me to the Pune Yātrā back in 2009. When I was sick in the hospital in Mumbai. The doctors were not allowing me to go and so I told the doctors, “Your guru has invited me, what kind of disciples are you? You are not allowing me to go!” So the disciples called up His Holiness Rādhānātha Swami and requested him to take back your invitation. He said, “I will become a lizard or something, I cannot do that!” So His Holiness Rādhānātha Swami told them to speak to one of their senior doctors. They were all initiated devotees. The senior doctor was not initiated yet. So the doctors told the senior doctor and they thought for sure, he would say no. But he said, “You are doctors, you like hospital. He is a preacher. He likes to preach! So what makes him happy is good for his health. So let him go and preach!” So they put a hospital bed in the ambulance and took me to Pune. So like this the ambulance took me to Pune and they saw me come out! Then I gave a lecture there and then I came back to Mumbai. So it was two hours to go and two hours to get back. So I was very happy to go preaching.
