mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
paramānanda-mādhavam śrī caitanya īśvaram
Harihi oṁ tat sat

Jayapatākā Swami: [audio break] We have been hearing esoteric . . . all the time. In the Caitanya-caritāmṛta it is said Lord Caitanya, He comes to establish the saṅkīrtana movement and then He comes to give out love of Godheaḍ. But the secret purpose is  Kṛṣṇa is Bhagavān. But it seems that Rādhārāṇī enjoys more than He does. And She experiences greater feelings, greater ecstasy. So He came as Caitanya Mahāprabhu to realize this. The third purpose, in Jagannātha Purī He was realizing the ecstasy, He was realizing the ecstasy of Bhagavān. He would go and … Lord Caitanya here in Navadvīpa He was here and establishing the saṅkīrtana-yajña. He was enjoying meeting the devotees. His students thought He was a paṇḍita, so He decided that He would take sannyāsa because they respected the sannyāsīs. And if they offended Him . . .  At the age of 24 He took sannyāsa. He went to house of . . . and all these devotees were visiting Him in Jagannātha Purī. Some devotees were crying, they could not go before Lord Caitanya. They considered themselves too fallen. Lord Caitanya called those devotees who did not come, and He embraced them. For four months they stayed in Jagannātha Purī. From Jagannātha Purī He went to Kānāi-Nāṭaśālā on His way to Vṛndāvana.  But there were too many people following Him and  He came back to Jagannātha Purī. Then He decided  . . . He said that Lord Nityānanda broke His daṇḍa.  Therefore, He would not go with Him. He travelled throughout India. He went to find His brother who had taken sannyāsa. His brother was in Pāṇḍarapura and left his body in Pāṇḍarapura. Lord Caitanya visited Nāsika and Kolhapur. He also came on the outskirts of Mumbai. So Lord Caitanya went to different places, and He picked up the Six-Gosvāmīs. In Śrīraṅgam, He was staying in the house of Veṅkaṭa Bhaṭṭa and Gopāla Bhaṭṭa was doing personal service to Lord Caitanya. So Gopāla Bhaṭṭa was thinking how nice it would be to see Lord Caitanya with all the devotees in the Navadvīpa saṅkīrtana. When he saw Lord Caitanya with His associates he was crying out Gaurāṅga! Lord Caitanya came and went with him, when he saw that Lord Caitanya was the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Then Lord Caitanya instructed him to go to Vṛndāvana.

Śrī Caitanya-Śikṣāmṛta

The Nectar of the teachings of Śrī Caitanya

Today’s chapter is: First shower—Third stream: Qualification to see Kṛṣṇa

Only due to bad saṁskāra (reformatory system), these types of rebellion of the pure nature of the living entities happen. Those in whose hearts the greatness of Kṛṣṇa and the beauty of Kṛṣṇa arise, they see the transcendental realm, being recovered from the impersonal separatist intelligence of formless and so on. As a result of the fortune of the living entities such unlimited happiness is attained.

Unfortunately, an ordinary materialistic intelligence deprived of the science cannot extend into the supernatural realm. Even though Kṛṣṇa is the supreme Lord of Goloka from the unlimited transcendental time immemorial, and although along with the Vraja in Goloka He descends to the material world out of His own inconceivable potency, still He exists in His pure personal natural variety. In the pure trance (samādhi) of the soul, the living entity is aware of all these pastimes of Kṛṣṇa.

Note: Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 1.5.13:

atho mahā-bhāga bhavān amogha-dṛk
śuci-śravāḥ satya-rato dhṛta-vrataḥ
urukramasyākhila-bandha-muktaye
samādhinānusmara tad-viceṣṭitam

O Vyāsadeva, your vision is completely perfect. Your good fame is spotless. You are firm in vow and situated in truthfulness. And thus you can think of the pastimes of the Lord in trance for the liberation of the people in general from all material bondage.

Jayapatākā Swami: Nārada Muni was the son of Lord Brahmā and he was the guru of Vyāsadeva. He told Vyāsadeva to write the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. The Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is very important for devotees to read. And then the post graduate study is actually Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta.  And in . . . He manifests this pastime in the Caitanya-caritāmṛta. I am going to go to Vṛndāvana and be there with Lord Caitanya’s mercy for some time and establish His lotus footprints in the places He went, if Kṛṣṇa allows. When Lord Caitanya heard about Vṛndāvana, His ecstasy would increase a thousand times. When He was in Mathurā His ecstasy increased a thousand times thousand. When He was actually in Vṛndāvana His ecstasy increased a thousand times twice. After seeing Lord Caitanya in ecstasy, His secretary was worried that sometimes He might jump in the Yamunā or fall down and if he wasn’t there no one could save Him. So he requested Lord Caitanya to leave.

Kṛṣṇe matir astu!

Here is His Holiness Bhakti Vijaya Bhāgavata Mahārāja to give you a special news about Caitanya-caritāmṛta.
