20240207 Abhiṣeka Ceremony of Lotus Footprints of Lord Caitanya

The following is a lotus foot print instaḷation talk given by His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja, on February 7th,2024.

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam 
paramānandaṁ mādhavaṁ śrī caitanya iśvaram

Hariḥ oṁ tat sat!

Jayapatākā Swami: So today we are establishing the lotus feet of Lord Caitanya. This was started by our Parama Gurudeva, Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda. He established several pāda-pīṭhas himself. And he wanted that all the places where Lord Caitanya visited should have pāda-pīṭhas. And the people of Mumbai are blessed because Lord Caitanya visited here! The ancient name is Śūrpāraka. And the new name is Nallasopara. So one of these three will go there. One will go to Nāsika. And one will go to the temple in Kolāpura. We already placed one in Pāṇḍarapura. Lord Caitanya, His purpose is to deliver all the fallen souls. Kali-yuga is 432,000 years. Now we have just started about 5,000 years. And for ten thousand years we want to have a Golden Age of Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Haribol! Gaurāṅga!

The more that we can remember the lotus of Lord Caitanya, the better it will be. We want to take advantage of His mercy. And now is the opportunity. So, we hope that all of you visit Śrī Māyāpur dhāma, Navadvīpa dhāma where Lord Caitanya was born. And we are very glad that He came here in Maharashtra. Today, we had the lotus feet installed and worshiped by His Holiness Gopāla Kṛṣṇa Goswami and worshiped by His Holiness Girirāja Swami. We hope that all of you will chant the holy names of Kṛṣṇa, and this way become very intimate with Lord Caitanya. So tonight, we are going to listen to His Holiness Gopāla Kṛṣṇa Goswami Mahārāja and His Holiness Girirāja Swami Mahārāja!
