20071007 Hong Kong Festival

I went for some days for a festival in Hong Kong. Every morning I gave a class highlighting Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu’s pastimes. Then we took prasāda together with the local devotees. Nice Chinese prasāda was served to the devotees. I also tasted a sample but stuck to my diet.

Then I gave a seminar on Congregational Development Ministry themes. The devotees were very enthusiastic. In two evenings, I gave audio-visual multi-media digital shows. One evening it was China’s National day in Hong Kong. From 6pm to 8pm there was a massive Harināma! About 150 devotees were chanting and dancing in a double line. Viśākhā devī dāsī was directing the Harināma very expertly. Sometimes the ladies were in front and moving their arms in a beautiful manner. I also led kīrtana for about 45 minutes. Then His Grace Kṛṣṇa Kṣetra Prabhu was also leading! After the Harināma we had a question-and-answer session until fireworks! Then everyone went to the roof to watch the fireworks which went on for 20 minutes or more? The devotees were chanting and dancing during the fireworks. The final morning, we observed the windows expansion. We also had a fire sacrifice. It seems they would like to have another festival and to have me attend again.
