20241130 Addressing the Dikṣā-guru Oath Taking Ceremony of His Grace Vasu Śreṣṭha Prabhu

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate girim
yat-kṛpā tam ahaṁ vande śrī-guruṁ dīna-tāraṇam
paramānandaṁ mādhavaṁ śrī caitanya iśvaram
hariḥ oṁ tat sa

Jayapataka Swami: Śrīla Prabhupāda, in one lecture here in Māyāpur, said he wanted to see ten thousand gurus. And from ten thousand gurus; he would like to see hundred thousand! And from one lakh, he would like to see one million. And from one million he would like to see ten million! In this way, Lord Caitanya’s prediction that in every town and village His name would be sung, would come true! So, sometimes it is easy, sometimes it is hard, but in the case of Vasu Śreṣṭha, it was relatively easy. They said that we need gurus who speak Russian. So, he had a very high vote! Actually, today before Śrīla Prabhupāda and the Deities here, he is taking oath, he got the written oath.
