20240730 Śrī Caitanya Śikṣāmṛta 1.4. Living Entities—Conditioned and Liberated living entities

Note: Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 1.6.21:
hantāsmiñ janmani bhavān
mā māṁ draṣṭum ihārhati
avipakva-kaṣāyāṇāṁ
durdarśo ’haṁ kuyoginām
TEXT: O Nārada [the Lord spoke], I regret that during this lifetime you will not be able to see Me anymore. Those who are incomplete in service and who are not completely free from all material taints can hardly see Me.
The secondary result of liberation which occurs in the association of the devotee sages alone can make the rise of pure (spiritual) body of a devotee.
Jayapatākā Swami: So, here there is an explanation how the spiritual body appears, and for Nārada Muni there is no liberation. He rises to a pure spiritual body.

Note: Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 1.6.27-28:
evaṁ kṛṣṇa-mater brahman
nāsaktasyāmalātmanaḥ
kālaḥ prādurabhūt kāle
taḍit saudāmanī yathā
prayujyamāne mayi tāṁ
śuddhāṁ bhāgavatīṁ tanum
ārabdha-karma-nirvāṇo
nyapatat pāñca-bhautikaḥ
TEXT: And so, O Brāhmaṇa Vyāsadeva, in due course of time I, who was fully absorbed in thinking of Kṛṣṇa and who therefore had no attachments, being completely freed from all material taints, met with death, as lightning and illumination occur simultaneously. Having been awarded a transcendental body befitting an associate of the Personality of Godhead, I quit the body made of five material elements, and thus all acquired fruitive results of work [karma] stopped.
The liberation that comes with the association of jñānīs is merely thinking themselves liberated which is only a miserable condition for the living entity.*
Jayapatākā Swami: So Nārada Muni simultaneously gave up his material body and achieved his spiritual body. So we also hope that happens for us. The spiritual body manifests at the same time when one gives up the material body.

Note: Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 10.2.32:
ye ’nye ’ravindākṣa vimukta-māninas
tvayy asta-bhāvād aviśuddha-buddhayaḥ
āruhya kṛcchreṇa paraṁ padaṁ tataḥ
patanty adho ’nādṛta-yuṣmad-aṅghrayaḥ
TEXT: [Someone may say that aside from devotees, who always seek shelter at the Lord’s lotus feet, there are those who are not devotees but who have accepted different processes for attaining salvation. What happens to them? In answer to this question, Lord Brahmā and the other demigods said:] O lotus-eyed Lord, although nondevotees who accept severe austerities and penances to achieve the highest position may think themselves liberated, their intelligence is impure. They fall down from their position of imagined superiority because they have no regard for Your lotus feet.
Herein, the pure form, bondage state and liberated state of the living entity were briefly discussed. The duty which is permissible and the duty which is not permissible for the living entity will be discussed elsewhere.
Jayapatākā Swami: So, we can take charge of our relationship with Kṛṣṇa. And we can offer pure bhakti to Kṛṣṇa. So, we were reading, how to get Kṛṣṇa’s mercy one has to surrender completely at His lotus feet. But Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu however, He is even more merciful than Kṛṣṇa. He gives out mercy freely without considering if the person is qualified or not. And He gives out this mercy along with Lord Nitāi, and this is a special mercy of Gaura Nitāi. I was saying how Lord Caitanya gives out the mercy very freely. He doesn’t see that who is qualified or not. Siddha Jagannātha dāsa Bābājī, he travelled from Vṛndāvana to Navadvīpa dhāma. Of course, in Vṛndāvana you get 1000 times mercy, but also 1000 times reaction to activities. So he came to Navadvīpa and got his siddha-svarūpa here. So he was showing how you can get the same mercy in Navadvīpa dhāma as Vṛndāvana without any offences, so it is much faster.
