20110812 His. Holiness. Jayapatākā Swāmi gave a talk at the Māyāpur Jhulan Yathā Festival.

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ

Hari Oṁ Tat Sat.

Gurumahārāja: We are very happy that we could at least one day participate in the Rādhā-Mādhava Jhulana Yātrā. Jhulan Yātrā is very special because we get the chance to serve the deities directly. We get a chance to swing them. Those who are initiated, those who are brāhmaṇas and those who are not initiated. Everyone gets a chance. Strī, vaiśyas tathā śūdras, everyone who comes forward, they get a chance.

We heard that in Barṣāṇā, Rādhārāṇī was sitting next to Kṛṣṇa, and there the gopī’s are swinging them on a swing. So, Rādhārāṇī She grabbed on to Krishna so that She will not fall off. So, Kṛṣṇa he was very happy to have Rādhārāṇī to embrace Him. In Jhulan actually She automatically embraces him. So, this festival is very dear to Kṛṣṇa.

We are also specially  happy because this Nabadwipa Dhāma is especially Rādhārāṇī’s Dhāma. She made the Nabadwipa Dhāma to please Kṛṣṇa, and She offered to Kṛṣṇa. So, he accepts this offering of Rādhārāṇī, and when he appears here He takes the mood and colour of Rādhārāṇī. Therefore he is known as Gaurāṅga.... Gaurāṅga [repeated by everyone]

Gaurāṅga.... Gaurāṅga [repeated by everyone]

Gaurāṅga.... Gaurāṅga [repeated by everyone]

So, Rādhārāṇī’s name is Gaurāṅgī, and Lord’s Caitanya is Gaurāṅga.

So, this is a very special festival which is observed by all the temples in Vṛndāvana, and we are happy that here also we are observing.

People have come from all over to participate. It starts on Ekadashi, and ends tomorrow on Balarāma Pūrṇimā. We are especially very very encouraged that this festival is promoted and done by the youth of Māyāpur, and use their intelligence how to make every Jhulan something special.

We see how every tree has been decorated with lights, and how beautiful the ponds and all the decorations are.

We pray that Rādhā-Mādhava give their special blessings to all the youth of Māyāpur.

Hari bol ........... [ Hari bol]

Please also give them special thanks.

Three times we can chant, Haribol, Nitāi Gaura Haribol.

Nitāi Gaura Haribol.................................. Nitāi Gaura Haribol [repeated by everyone]

Nitāi Gaura Haribol.................................. Nitāi Gaura Haribol [repeated by everyone]

Nitāi Gaura Haribol.................................. Nitāi Gaura Haribol [repeated by everyone]

Kṛṣṇa, He is the Lord of Lod’s.

Iswara Parama Kṛṣṇa Saccidānanda Vigraha

Anādir Ādir Govida Sarva Kāraṇa Kāraṇaṁ

So, He is the causes of all causes, and He Himself has no cause. He is the original personality of Godhead. So He is what we call Rasasekhar. That He is specially worshipped in all the Rasas. He is the best of all the masters. He is the ideal friend. For Arjuna He was Pārtha-Sārathi, for the cowherd boys in Vṛndāvana He was Kānāi. Dauji Ka bhaiya Kṛṣṇa Kanaiya.

Kṛṣṇa Kanaiya Dauji ka bhaiya ................... Kṛṣṇa Kanaiya Dauji ka bhaiya (repeated by everyone)

Kṛṣṇa Kanaiya Dauji ka bhaiya ................... Kṛṣṇa Kanaiya Dauji ka bhaiya (repeated by everyone)

Kṛṣṇa Kanaiya Dauji ka bhaiya ................... Kṛṣṇa Kanaiya Dauji ka bhaiya (repeated by everyone)

For Nanda and Yaśodā He was the ideal son. Being Bhagavān was not what they thought, but they thought that He was the ideal son. And also He shows that He is the ideal lover. So He satisfies all the devotees.

Lord Caitanya said that the system of worshipping Kṛṣṇa in Vṛndāvana is the best. So, we should take shelter of Radha-Madhava and Māyāpura Candra Lord Caitanyadeva. This is the perfection of our life. There is nothing beyond or above this.

Hari bol... Hari bol [everyone]

Jaya Rādhā Mādhava ki............ Jaya [everyone]

Jaya Rādhā Mādhava

So they said I should speak for ten minutes. So, I think ten minutes is over.

Now we will hand the stage back to the musicians.
